Scott smiled for the first time in a long time and shot his wings out and threw himself into the air after Kit. He wanted to talk to the older boy, just for something to make him feel better. He rose up next to Kit and felt his hair flying. "Hey Kit. How goes you?" he asked tiredly. He could barely flap his wings and felt as if he would fall out of the sky. His energy was drained from lack of food. He was almost 100% sure that he would be ignored by Kit though.

Kit shot a grin at Scott, "Doing great." He winked at the younger boy, "Boy you look like your going to faint." Kit reached in to his pocket, "I was savin' this for later but you need it." He threw Scott the last burger he had and laughed. "Try not to fall out of the sky."
Blaike's wings snapped out and she pushed herself into the air as the others followed behind her. All of them headed north. Blaike took the lead as she watched the city move beneath her. She shook her wrist where Kit had grabbed her. The pain was subsiding rapidly. Whatever this stuff was, it was messing with both of them bad. She felt dizzy from looking down and continued to stare straight ahead. She saw black coming around her peripherals. She closed her eyes fighting it. When she opened them again, she was fine. Maybe Max knew what this was?
Feeling his heart flutter, Scott took the burger gratefully and scarfed it down. He felt better, but still his energy wasn't filled to the max. He soared higher, and looked down, noticing people pointing. Some were waving, and others were screaming. One man pulled out a gun, and snaps as loud as thunder just a foot away from you sounded. Scott yelled a warning to the others.

Saturn heard scott's warning. She flew next to him to make sure no bullets had got him. They were okay. But she didn't notice a bullet that shot at her wing. She flee from the sky, blood leaking out of her right wing and her left arm.
Theo had woken up tired, his side aching and his leg throbbing ever so slightly. He'd be fine later though. Eating his last three apples for breakfast, he had leaped into the air with the rest of them, flying behind, his large wings making him look like some kind of angel -- or monster. People below waved, thinking that they were a part of Max's Gang. He saw a camera crew down below as well, shooting footage, and a news anchor in front. "Huh. Looks like we're famous now. I'm guessing that Max's Flock are gonna hear about us soon enough," Theo muttered to himself. Then, a distant gunshot floated up to Theo's ears, and he saw Saturn begin to descend. "Not on my watch," he muttered, before swooping close and putting his arms around her waist. He sank lower in the air, her wait pulling him down, but he pushed up. Lost was his speed, but he could still keep up with the others, even with a little thirteen-year-old weight.

Scott flew hard with his energy gained from the food, and ascended as high as he thought was possible until a thick covering of white surrounded him. Clouds? He smiled as the cool, watery feeling of them caressed his skin. That was when he felt it. It was a sharp pang in the side. The world went blank. The next thing he knew he was falling from a height that was impossible to measure from where he was. Theo had Saturn in his arms, and there was no one that could save him. Not now.

OOC; By the way, because of the inhancements we can breath at rediculous heights. We can fly as high as an airplane ^^ Plus what kind of guns are we talking about here? Handguns? They dont shoot as high as we are flying
Kit hissed dangerously as Saturn dropped but was grateful for Theo's quick rescue. Each of the bird kids to the the higher parts of the skies and flew faster than any car could travel. The zoomed out of the city and headed North west toward the river they had seen on the map. Kit tossed a look behind him to make sure they were all there. With the other four counted he turned toward and watched Blaike who was about a person's length ahead of him. He flew easily behind her as the scenerly below changed and the sun moved across the sky.

Theo flew up behind Kit, and then alongside him, however, quite far away, due to their combined wingspace being nine feet. "She should live," Theo called, "unless for some stupid reason they made her weaker than us." Saturn was almost a dead weight in his hands, but it was better than her trying to flap her way out of this mess. It wasn't too hard to carry her, after all, she was very light, but his arms would start aching in a while, no doubt.
