The scientist grinned as evil as he ever could, "Vhat i vant from you is non of your buisness." With that the man lifted his hand and the flyboys launched forward, grabbing each of the bird kids and knocking them in the head hard enought to knock the out. "Lets get zhem out of 'ere." The man snarled.
Kit awoke to see the lights above his head flaring brightly. He closed his eyes as quickly as he could in order to keep them out. He shuddered and moaned as pain flooded in to his body. This definantly wasnt a good thing. Kit tried to reach for his head but felt his arms were strapped to the metal table he was laying on. The boy lifted his head tenderly to see that he was in a white washed room, large enough for only six patients. He looked sideways to see the unconcious forms of his flock. "Blaike... Theo... Scott... Saturn... Zemmie," he moaned heavily. "Guys wake up!"
Blaike felt herself waking up. All she felt was pain coursing through her body. She heard Kit's voice, which willed her to open her eyes. White flooded her vision and she had to squint to make anything happen. All she could remember was standing in the field, and, then it goes blank. She looked to her right and saw Kit. Strapped to a metal table. "Whaa?" She lifted her legs to get up, only to see that she was strapped to one also. She looked around and saw all the others. No, it can't be...Back at the school again? She hated being strapped to a table, hated being somewhere where she couldn't move on her own free will. She forced herself to calm down, and she looked back at Kit. "Are the others awake and okay? Do you know?" She asked, worriedly.
Kit just shook his head, "No idea." He noted that when he shook his head that he didnt feel his headaches pounding anymore. What? What was going on here?! Kit's wild green eyes flashed toward Blaike to see her reaction, were her headaches still there? Kit squirmed on his table, trying to be free so he could go to his friend's side and check on her. Now that his own headaches had disappeared, if even for a short while, his main focus was on Blaike. "You alright Commander?" he inquired with a hint of worry in his voice.
Blaike squirmed for a moment. "Yea, I'm...okay." She thought for a moment. As if she was reassuring herself that she really was okay. All her limbs felt in place, no wounds to speak of, her head was fine. Her headaches, gone? She looked to Kit, and her brown eyes locked with his green eyes. "Are your headaches..." He nodded and she exhaled. They took the devices away? What? She tried to move her arms again. The straps were starting to get to her head. "I just...hate being strapped down." She murmured quietly.
Kit nodded softly but a door at the end of the room slide open before he had a chance to reply. "Good after noon my little escape artists," Grinned a rather tall woman with black hair and deep brown eyes. Her skin was a tightly tanner color than any of the kids on the tables. Kit's throat constricted as he recognized the woman. The lady turned her deep eyes to Kit and she smiled softly. "You really shouldnt have tried to escape. You would have suffered less pain." Her eyes clouded as if she had been the on to recieve the pain. Kit couldnt really breath, let alone talk now. This woman had been one of the kindest scientists here. She had snuck him food when she could, cared for him since he was younger than even angel was. This lady had been taking care of Kit's batch of experiments. Those few that still survived were named Kit, Blaike, and Zemmie. She had always been what he considered to be his mother. The woman walked toward Blaike and Kit, passing the other sleeping Bird kids. "Its good to see you two still alive." Kit glanced away from her, tears filling his eyes, "What are you doing here Amelia?" The woman glanced at kit, her eyes growing sad for a moment. "I took a moment out of my schedual to try and see you guys. I can only be here for a few minutes but i have learned about your medical cases." Amelia produced a small manilla folder from under her arm, tucked between her white coat and her side. "Those nano robots that were in you blood stream latched on to both of your brains. The unfortunant side affect is that it causes intense nightmares, headaches and pain. The frequency that they have programmed in to them was perfect for field work but here it caused disruptions in our system. We had to remove them or else risk losing some of our greatest technology." Amelia's voice softened with what seemed like love, "We took them out, you two have made a full recovery." She grinned softly but desipte the warm feelings that were growing in Kit's heart again, he nearly glared at her. "Why did you let them take us back?" He growled. Amelia sighed softly and said, "I couldnt do anything to stop them. I pleaded that you guys just be left alone but they said that if we didnt inject you and let you find Max, they would kill all of you with lethal injection." Kit's heart nearly stopped, "W-what?!" "They said that you six were a strain on resources and were to be terminated. I begged them, filed paper work and did just about everything i could to keep you around longer. Yet, they said unless you made yourselves useful they would kill you. One of my co-workers suggested we use you to go find Max. Your remarkable abilities to sap the powers of fellow creatures would serve you well if you had to fight Max. If it came down to a fist fight, you would automatically, along with your increase in aggression, sap their powers. They would grow weak while your own systems would double their power and moral strength behind them. However, that was a risky bet. If you choose not to 'lock in' your powers, you could self distruct. That or be left weakened for a good while if you let go in time." Amelia rubbed her temples for a moment, "We let you six go and hopefully you would find them. You had six months but you found them in less than a week. My superiors are pleased and that means they will keep you around, at least long enough for me to persuade them to keep you perminantly." Horror rose in Kit. "I dont want to be here forever!" he shouted desperatly, "Even if it was a fake freedom i loved being in the outside world. I hate it here! They will only run more experiments if we stay!" Amelia's eyes produced a few tears as she stepped forward and ran her hand through kits dark ginger brown hair. "I know my dear. I know, I will do everything i can to help you. Even if my own life is in danger. I love your kids. Try to stay out of to much trouble." Amelia turned to Blaike with a soft smile and pressed her thin, tan hands to the young bird kid's head.
Theo raised his head gingerly, there were noises making his head hurt. He wasn't actually hurt, other than a few bruises. Thea? he asked, quietly. No one answered. Thea? Thea?! he was growing more frantic, silently, in his own struggle. THEA! Even though his own voice resounded in his head, nothing, no tart, silly reply answered. Was...was she gone? It felt like a part of him died. Focusing back on the real world, Theo spotted a scientist. One who had been kind to the three 17-year olds (although not necessarily to him, he had noted. She had never noticed him, and if she did, she acted as if she didn't care). "You," he hissed quietly, forgetting her name for the moment. "Where's Thea." It was a demand, not a question. "What have you done to Thea?!"

"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Saturn woke up in the school. She didn't bother to get up. She would be subjected to worse pain if they saw she was awake. So she closed her eyes and pretended to sleep. Another scientist came in the room. He walked towards her,Zemmie, and Theo. She stayed quiet to feind sleep, hoping they wouldn't notice.
Scott opened his eyes and saw the scientist. He snorted and struggled under the straps. He heard what she was saying. "So you got Max too?" he asked, loud enough for her to hear, but not caring if she answered. Even if Max didn't really care, he felt as if she was a part of him. It was strange, stating that she never really noticed him, but he could feel that they belonged together. Their flocks. They had to save themselves, and then they have to save Max and her gang.

I am Jaggedpine. Just thought I should let you know.
Saturn heard a snort from Scott while she fake slept. Why did they do this? How was it possible for them to do this...this experiment and create life like this? Was she just an empty shell immitating a person? Or was she actualy somthing...more than a shell...
"Well, you seem banged up." "Same with Max." She opened her eyes to see two erasers. One was next to Max, and one was next to her. The one next to her was the one who had caught her when she fell out of the tree.It was bad to meet him. "And your just a furry freak."She said tartily. How could somone like that just walk in like they owned the place?! Then she remembered. They DO own the place.
