Amelia pressed her fingers to her temples for a moment, "I wasnt assigned to you when you were two yeas old. You were always in a different holding cell. You were in the same room but there was no way i could interact with you. I was already on thin ice while i was taking care of the seventeen year old group. The nineteen year old group had other scientists that took care of them. It was restricted for me to even go near you." Amelia looked toward Theo with soft eyes, "Be hostile all you like. Shout, roar, do what you like but i dont know how or what Thea is alright? I wasnt assigned to you, as i said before. I dont know your exact genetic make up. If it was Blaike or any of the other generation 45 i would have been able to help. You are generation 44 and also have special modifications. Your wings were grafted in to you so that they would be bigger. What makes you tick is different from the others. I cant help you in discovering where this 'other half' of you went."
Saturn waited for her answer. Then she had an idea."hey...say somehow our cuffs were unlocked, and a certain doctor went missing supposedly taken hostage by some bird kids and escaped? And say, what if three bird kids stayed behind to find out what happened to Thea?"She asked them. A plan rushed through her head. If they could escape and find out what happened to thea, that would make everyone happy."What do you guys think?"She asked them as they stared bluntly at eachother. She turned to the doctor."I know it ay sound stupid, but I think it's worth a shot. What do you think blaik?"She was determined to get them out. She had made a plan just in case they happened to get cought again.
Theo gulped and his head slammed back onto the metal table. Where are you? What did they do to you? "As far as I know, every other 19-year-old was slaughtered in weapons testing." He couldn't keep the growl from his voice. This scientist, well, he practically hated her now. "I'm the only one left, and they had fun with my wings, which is why they didn't kill me off too. I heard it was awfully hard to reduplicate extinct bird wings. My friend was killed because she was shot to death. The rest of them betrayed me." And why am I telling you all this? he asked quietly.

"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Saturn sighed. Non of them listened to her,but she wasn't gonna be broken like they wanted her to be."When do we go back to our cages?"She repeated. She knew how to escape, and she knew the scientists never found out how she got out of her cage. She also knew they would test a bird kid soon. But wich one was to be tested? She looked around and saw that ot was like a couple of minutes till two or three bird kids got tested. She looked at the others, who were all ignoring her. She repeated agian,"When do we go back to our cages?"She hoped that she could escape like last time.
Scott's eyes hardened. "Listen to me you freep! I trust these guys! They're my FAMILY, okay? I don't need to open up more if I don't want to!" he snapped. He was amazed at what he had just said. Family? He thought. Yes, he felt left out, but, deep down, hey, he would trust any one of the flock with his life. He smiled softly at himself. Had he said it? The thing that would change his life? He wasn't lying. They really were his family. Really. There was no questioning in his mind now. He was certain.

Saturn heard Scott, and was glad he thought of them as family. She looked at them all and loudley said"When do we go back to our cages?" She had a plan. If she faked a heart attack and pretended to be dead, they'd drag her out. Then she could save the others. She leaned over to Scott and whispered her plan. "I hope it works.' she thought as he stared at her. She told the scientist her plan too. Now to set it in motion.
Amelia was growing tired of every bird kid yelling at her, or insulting her. She ignored Scott and Theo and turned her attention to Saturn, "They dont intend on putting you back. Dont you get it? They let you escape on purpose inorder to capture Max. Do you honestly think that they would just put you back and allow you to escape? The security that day was lightened in order for each of you to escape. Didnt you think it was odd that no robotic erasers went after you? They let you get out." Amelia shook a bit with supressed anger. Her eyes turned back to Kit and Blaike. Kit read the look in Amelia's eyes and he sighed, "Guys, stop arguing with her. Stop yelling at her and stop acusing her for things she hasnt done. She has honestly tried her best to help us and she seems to want to get us out of here permanently." Kit looked up to Amelia for a moment, "If you are lying to us, you can be certain that there is no place in this world that will protect you."
Scott looked at Amelia and nodded in agreement. "I won't yell anymore. But don't think I'll like it," he hissed. "So you mean we are going to stay on these tables and are to stay here for the rest of our lonely lives looking at ceiling?" he asked, trying not to sound angrier than a poodle on a bad hair day. He took deep breaths. There would be one upside to that. He would be with the flock. His flock. His family.

"I'm sorry," Zemmie whispered to Amelia. She made herself look into Amelia's pretty eyes. "I truly am. It's just that.." She sighed. "I thought freedom was actually something that would grant us for a lifetime. I thought it would let us be free.. well, forever. But I didn't know that you only let us be free for awhile so you could find Max and her crew. And I think that's terrible, what the scientists do." She casted Amelia a sorry, 'no offense' look. "And since you're a scientist.."
"You're a killer just like the rest of them." Theo's head thumped against the metal table, and he fell silent, gazing at the ceiling, searching his mind, his heart, his entire being for Thea. I'll find you, I promise. Can't take me away without me knowing where I've gone.
