Saturn saw him smile and felt happy. She had finaly cheered someone up."Hahaha. Your a good friend."She laughed as they flew on. She saw him fly closer...and he looked happyer than she had ever seen him. She smiled back at him, her glee showing. "So... how do you feel about being free for real this time? At least we blew up the evil bloody houd of needles. No more school." She said, intending a joke. She was happy to stretch her wings, to fly with her best friend."Your my best friend here."She told him as they flew.
Scott smiled at Saturn, and with a weary glance at Kit, nodded at her. "You're my best friend too," he assured. He was happy about friendship, but anger flared in him about Kit. What was wrong with that kid? He thought they were friends! That was what drove him to stick up and call them family, but he was now a sister's friend's second cousin twice removed or something.

She saw his angrey look at Kit, but didn't know what to say about it. She lovedd to fly with Scott. She knew he needed to be talked with though."Wanna play a game while we're flying? Like naming something?"Saturn asked, wondering what he would think of a game. She felt that a distraction would lighten things up.
Scott shrugged, a look on his face that seemed interested, but he really had a flaming anger in his heart. He wanted to punch the insides of a tree out. "I feel up for some beating the brains out of an Eraser right now, what do you think?" he asked jokingly.

"Haha! Good one."Saturn laughed. She wanted Scott to be happy. "What do you wanna do? I think we need to stop and find a place to rest. Everybody must be tired from flying for this long."She asked him. She knew he was in no mood to talk to Kit." Do you feel mad? I can see it in your eyes."Saturn said, seeing a burning anger in his eyes.
Kit shook his head, "You dont understand." THat was the first time ever that had said those words to her. Never once had he doubted that she understood him. They were always on the same wave length and here he was wallowing in grief and telling the only person that had enough patience for him that they didnt understand? Kit frowned dangerously and pulled away from her, "He could have known better than to just come over here and try to talk to me. He would have thought differently if it was Saturn that had died. He would have wanted to bite someone's head off as well." Kit glared over at Blaike, "I just dont want him talking to me. Its too soon. I dont care if that place was filled with scientists that did experiments on us. Some of them were innocent. Yet they were killed for out sakes." Kit sighed heavily and drifted away from Blaike, "We'll talk later. For now i want to be alone."
Max frowned at Theo, "We dont want anything to do with you guys anymore. One betrayal is bad enough. We're leaving and if you all try to find us again, i swear you wont be able to figure out who's who when you are all splattered on the ground." The group of bird kids swirved away, heading toward the south west. The rest of Blaike's flock continued North.
Saturn felt sad. People were different in every way, and yes they had simularities, but each person was special in their own way. She knew that Scott had to see everyone mattered, no matter who they were. She stayed close to him, watching as Max's flock flew off. She had hoped for better but just in case they left, she had slipped a note into Fangs pocket when she was flying next to him. It had an explanation for what had happened and why. She knew they would probabley tear it up, but so long as they glanced at it, she was okay. Scott kept glancing at Kit, so Saturn flew ahead of him.
Blaike felt her heart tug in his direction but she fought it. She didn't even look after him. Blaike heard the beat of wings and turned and saw Max's group heading southwest. She sighed. Oh well. She glanced over at Kit. His heart was shattering over and over again into a trillion pieces and she had no way of stopping it. And what was with, 'You don't understand' since when did she not understand him? She stared at him for a moment. Maybe he's right. Maybe he's a completely different guy than who she thought he was. Which made her heart tear even more. She began beating her wings faster so that she could get ahead of the group. Nothing is right. Nothing whatsoever. Yet there was a group of kids behind her who for some reason looked to her for guidance, for her leadership. Why? Like Amelia said, guess she'd always been a leader. Amelia. Why her? The most compassionate person. The person who understood loss and grief. Who understood why they felt like such outcasts. And more importantly, she understood the meaning of wanting to feel love. Love? Now there was a word Blaike was unfamiliar with. But, somehow, with Amelia, it seemed liked she loved them. She always cared for them, she helped them whenever she could and she gave her own life. Is that love? Who honestly knew the depths that that word held. Her heart was yearning to understand the reason why things were happening, and why she couldn't comfort Kit, why she felt so distant from him now. As thoughts coursed through her head, she glanced down, there was a meadow in the middle of forest. They'd flown for awhile now so she thought it would be best to lie down, and all of them rest. The only rest she'd had in days was at the school. And that wasn't all that great. She motioned to all of them and they all swooped down and landed.
Scott dropped on the ground and walked over to Blaike. "I was wondering something, like, something I could do for the flock. You're gonna think I'm nuts, but just hear me before you make any sudden, well, you know what I mean," he said. He looked at his shoes, which were torn and fading. He took a deep breath, held all of the thoughts in his head, and let them out. "I was wondering, about like, you know how Saturn had that heart attack idea? We would need someone to do that. We're gonna have to have other ideas like that where someone has to fake something, and I was wondering if I could be your guy about that stuff?" he blurted, knowing that he would get yelled at and turned away from, just like he always had.

Saturn saw a tree, but it had no hole in it. She climbed to a sheltered branch. She may have felt lonley, but she knew the other bird kids had worse problems than being lonley, but she felt better away from the group, in a comfortable tree.
