"I...I-I'm okay," Scott promised, and jumped out of the tree. He had to talk to Kit and tell him how sorry he was. He sat there, waiting for them to return, and knew how horrible they must have felt. And how stupid he had been. He ran a hand through his hair and thought about the dream. He also knew his parents were dead, well, that was what his dream had told him. Tears leaked from his eyes. He was so sorry.

Saturn wanted Scott to feel okay, but he seemed to want to be alone, or to talk with someone else. She felt sorry that every one was in pain, but she was not the type who would lie around. She jumped out of the tree, and decided to look for one with a hole in it, because she would feel more comfortable in a sheltered area. She finaly found one, but another tree was leaning on it, the one Blaik had smashed in half. She went into the undamaged tree with hole in it, wich was really large and really high, and curled up in side of it. She liked the shelter and warmth the living and, well... sorta breathing tree. Scott was unaware that she had switched to another tree.

Ooc: Lolwut. We've gone through the worst place in the world, which has supposedly hardened us, and everyone cries every five posts? Lol ._.
Ic: So that was how Max's flock was going to be. He hoped they all drowned in a lake. You know, we could have just left them there. We could have. But then they would have actually hunted us down later. If they survived the explosion. Plus, they'd then think we betrayed them on purpose. Let's just hope they don't tell the whole world that we got them caught again. Not many people would actually like us if they did. True. Hey, remember that laptop that the girl was reading Fang's blog on? Laptop? Uh, sure. Why? Get one. I tried to tell Kit that. He didn't care. When has Kit caring stopped you from anything? True. Are you saying we should go find their flock again? They said they'd beat you to the ground, but you and I both know that isn't true. That's right, their powers would be absorbed by us and they'd become utterly weak. Exactly. I think it would be worth it to go find them again, Thea finished. Theo nodded, calculating.

"If he dies, then it will be God's will."
"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Saturn looked out of the tree, thinking of what they should do or where they should go next. She hoped Fang looked in his pocket and found her note, and that Max's flock read it. Saturn stared at the sky which was growing dark. Then she saw something underneath her tree...a dog?! She looked at the dog who was staring at her, and happily wagging his tail. She came out of the tree and sat down, and he lay next to her. Why would a dog be out here? Did he belong to someone?
Scott looked over and saw Saturn with a thing curled up at her side. He walked over to see what it was. It was a dog? He glared at her. "No. No dogs. Blaike is gonna KILL you. Ditch the dog Saturn," he said. It was true. Life was hard enough, now Saturn had to go off and find herself a dog? He kicked dirt. The dog looked up at him with sad eyes and whimpered. "No. No you. Don't give me that look. No! I'm not looking! Just wait until Blaike comes!" he said, starting to walk away. His parents would have let him have a dog. Big deal!

The dog liked them. Saturn was scared though. What if the dog was abandoned and killed? What if he followed them? Saturn walked over to Scott, and the dog stayed at the tree."Scott, I don't want to keep the dog. He just walked over."She said gently. She didn't want the dog, because it would be a problem when they flew."See, he's going away."Saturn said as she watched the dog lumber away. She went back to her tree, and went to sleep.
Scott smiled at Saturn, and waited boredly for Kit to return, so he could tell him he was sorry. It didn't matter anymore. He knew what it felt like to lose someone now, even it was just a dream. He stretched, and slowly fell asleep. He dreamed continuously of what happened after his parent's death, and he saw himself in Kit's position, sad and feeling like he had been killed a million times over and his heart was broken. He couldn't stand it, and he couldn't wake up either. Just more pain kept coming when he saw his parents glaring at him. "It's your fault Scott!" snapped his mother, and they faded. Tears streamed from his eyes in his dream and real life. Was it true? Was it his fault that his parents were dead? He broke a heavy sweat and panted hard, trying to wake up, but more pain and sorrow was thrown on him, and he felt like he had gone where you don't want to go.

Saturn woke up, to find the dog licking her. The moon shone brightley on her friends, yet again. She got up and shoved the dog out of the cramped tree. Then she went to find Scott. He was sleeping, and crying. She saw that he looked scared, and gently shook him awake. The dog had followed her and was licking Scott's face, but she pushed him away. He went back to the tree, and lay there.
