Carminda laughed. "Oh gee, dawn'll never come," she muttered. "Whenever you seem to have an exciting morning, the time passes so slowly..." She copied Lin, and took her bedroll, and lied down next to him. "Yeah, it is," she replied, staring at the stars. The constellations were clearly visible, she saw the big pan thingy. Carminda sighed. "See anything interesting?" she asked Lin quietly.
Alora rolled her eyes and lay down on the ground turning away from the group. She still couldn't quite understand why people thought things were, 'pretty' words like that she could never understand. Like pretty, love, beautiful, peace. It was all needless things in life. All you needed was power, and pride, and strength, and you were set.
ooc; sorry it's so short.=]

"Look, right there," Lin pointed to three stars in a slight curve, all next to each other. "They say that that's the Great Hunter's belt, and down below is his dog. I can't remember their names right now, but they used to have the best stories told about them back home. And over there," he pointed some ways away, "is the river: that big stream of stars; and next to that is the Maiden Girl, with the crab next to it. She supposedly fell in love with a prince across the river; I forgot where he is in the sky." He was explaining the constellations as he knew them to Carminda, pointing them out with a serene smile on his face.

"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
What was all this mushy talk about the stars? Didn't they know they couldn't fall in love? Who would want to anyway? That's when she heard it, and she jumped up with her agiel in hand, staring out into the forest. Linus and Carminda looked up at her and stood also. There was more rustling and loud crashing as Alora walked forward with her Agiel in hand. That's when a young woman came through with a terrified look on her face. "Seeker!" She called completely ignoring the Mord Sith. She gasped for breath, and her eyes were filled with fear. "There's been a disease that's spread through Windsford, and the Dharahan soldiers have taken it by force, none of our people can fight, and all the children are dying along with their families! Please you must help us! Her eyes pleaded with him.
Lin tilted his head to the side. "So much for waiting for dawn. We'll go now. It seems they can't wait till morning for us." He pulled his bedroll, dusted it off, rolled it up again, and tied it to Spark's (his mare) saddlebags. Saddling her up, he patted her as he gently pulled her away from her grazing area. "Let's go then."
Ooc: I wanted so badly to say baddlesags. XD

Alora rolled her eyes and holstered her agiel as you would holster a sword and saddled up her own horse. She was looking for a good night's sleep. Guess she'd get one later. The woman had run back off into the forest after nodding and smiling her thanks. Alora and the others rode on and she looked over at Lin, "We can't take on an entire army you know." She mumbled.
"Who said we had to? One man can defeat an entire army simply by spoiling food, demoralizing soldiers, and making them wary of paranormal forces, like curses." Lin was grinning lightly as they trotted along, making fast work of the road that lay between them and Windsford. "Plus, the Sword of Truth is an added bonus."

Alora rolled her eyes. The Mord Sith were used to knowing the Sword of Truth, as the Sword of Lies, because to them, they were the good guys, and the Seeker and his band of weak companions, were the bad guys standing in their way of achieving power. Their horses raced on and they passed the young woman who had signaled them. They made it into the town to see no one. Nothing was in site. They all got off their horses and looked around the ghost town. She walked up to a little house and looked inside. Pitch black. She heard a rustle from inside though. Ambush maybe? Had they been led into a trap? She took out her agiel, holding it in her right hand and she kicked the door in. She heard a soft whimper and walked into the house, making her way towards the back. She walked through a door and saw a mother and her daughter lying in the corner of the room, holding each other and shivering. There was a man laying on the opposite side of the room, lying dead. No doubt the father of the bunch. She wondered how many more houses were like this. And where were the Dharahan soldiers?
