History: His mother died in childbirth, and his father had no desire to take on a second wife. His eyes changed at age 3, and though his father shunned him and was ashamed, he still raised Raffin as his own. Raffin doesn't mind his father's ignorance, though he's treated like a prince at feasts so his father can show him off.

Apperance: 5'6" average build, long curly brown hair. Pink scar on the inside of her right index finger.
History: Emmaline's mother was a woman who worked as a servant in the castle. Her father was a Graced fighter working in the castle at the time. Her mother was relieved when her child's eyes changed the day after birth. She got to keep her job and her child would be taken care of by the kingdom. The mother never gave any hint that the child was hers, nor did she visit the nursery after Emma was brought there. The father still is not aware he has a daughter.

Apperance: She stands at a short 5'3 with an average build and jet black hair, she's pale, and has a light mixture of freckles on her cheeks.
History: Kahlan's parents were poor, they worked hard for what they had, and fought to keep their baby girl alive. When Kahlan's eyes began to change, they freaked. They weren't expecting this and didn't know how to handle it either. So they shipped her off the first chance they got.

Name: Daveth Miller
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Grace: Can become nearly invisible.
Eye Colours: Black-Blue
Apperance: 5'9 with a lithe frame and dark brown shaggy hair. He has a crossed shape scar on his right cheek.
History: Daveth was only one year old when his eyes changed. His parents were just honest farmers on the edge of the city when he was born. Seeing his eyes change brought forth the thought that he would cause them to much trouble and attention so they put him up in the orphange in the city. He never really got to meet them, nor did he have any wish to.

Name: Katheren Rose

Apperance: Black hair, white skin.
History: Her parents were in between being rich and poor, but they spent their money wisely. They lived on a large farm and had plenty of animals. Her eyes changed when she was eight years old. Her parents felt she could live with better people, so they sent her away when she was ten years old, and hoped to meet her again. She wanted to stay, but hopes that she can see them again.

Grace: Rapier/fencing-style fighting
Eye Colours: Light brown to dark green.
Apperance: Peak stands at a brawly 6'4'' with wide shoulders, but other than that, he is a very reserved-seeming character, and very humble-looking. He does not wear flashy clothes, and his short, cropped, sandy-blond hair does not stick out in a crowd.
History: At the age of ten Peak's eyes changed, and all trouble broke loose within his family. His mother was euphoric -- almost fainted at the sight. While, his father, rather, exploded upon him, screaming at him and his mother. "How can you be happy?!" his father would always shout. His father's brother had been Graced, and killed, for his Grace could not save him. Eventually Peak's father's shouting got to his mother and they abandoned him to the streets.

Name: Theodren Longstaffe
Age: 17 (18 in four months)
Gender: Male (dur)
Grace: Bows (archer)
Eye Colours: Green-silver
Apperance: About 6'2", long long blond hair, tied in a thin ponytail down his back, three parallel scars along his left cheek from a bear attack when he was hunting once. Left eye is green, right eye is silver.
History: Theo's eyes didn't change color until he was 10, after his father had taught him how to hunt and they did all these father-son things together. When his eyes changed, his father instantly became distant, cold, and unloving. His mother became resigned, and despairing. So he was sent off to the palace, wondering at how such a simple thing (different colored eyes) could make a man so different towards his own son. It kind of hurt.
