Daveth frowned slightly as Katheren was desposited back in to their room, "Then you shouldnt have tried to get out in the first place." The dark haired boy scratched the back of his neck and turned toward the rest of the group. Theo and Peak were both being polite and friendly. Daveth figured it was his turn to try and 'make friends'. He cleared his throat and offered up his name again, "My name is Daveth, its not to meet you guys..." He fell short for a moment, reflecting on how strange it was to try and assert himself toward the other boys that were in most cases, nearly a head taller than him.
"Hello Daveth and Kahlan. And as for my Grace... I might have a slight clue, but you never know in this crazy world we're getting ourselves into," Peak laughed. Taking the proper fencer's pose was almost natural to him -- actually, to him, it was more natural than breathing. His legs were strong as he stood tall and stared at Theo and Kahlan, then to Daveth. From that, he relaxed once more and leaned against the wall.

okay, then. unfortunately loving an idiot who doesn't love me back. but i'm not falling. i just kind of... am. .
Kahlan honestly felt rather intimidated by everyone. She knew she'd have to get used to talking to them. Right? That's what frightened her the most. Talking? She shuddered at the thought. But she figured she'd try. "When do you.." She cleared her throat because she knew she was talking extremely quiet. "When do you think we'll, uhm, ya know, find out? If we're worth something I guess.." She muttered softly. Her face heated up as she spoke and since she was so pale, she probably looked sunburned. She cleared her throat again and looked down at her shoes. This was not going well.
Kahteren sighed with annoyance. They had told her that she wasn't supposed to be there right? Oh well. "Nice names ,although I can't really say the same for myself. Say, anybody have a nick-name? Something peoeple call themselves?"she asked. It would be easyer to remember a short nickname. She watched as the others continued to chat, and stood at the door, wich was closed. They seemed to get along fine with eachother, and being graced made her feel weird. Why be graced if peoeple didn't need you most of the time?But then she thought again.'the farmers needed my help, and tried to give me rewards. Good thing I refused though, I've already got enough stuff in my pockets.' and she hadn't helped them grow crops either. She had protected them against bandits or theifs. The others would have much more usefull abilities any way. Who else had been graced with sword fighting? Plus, the others seemed to have no need of her. Then she remembered something she had left... something important...'no...how could I forget the little guy?He is in my pocket, still nice and warm.'she thought with a chuckle. Her pet was now scrabbling around in her cloak, looking for more warmth. She quietley took him out, and put him back in her cloak pocket. 'Little rascal.'she thought. 'He' happened to be her pet ferrit, Cloudandis. The others would freak if they knew she had him. but he let out a small squeke.'uh-oh'she thought with a sigh. She blew it.
ooc: so sry i haven't been on guys, life is busy around this time at my school! lol.
Just to let you guys know a little info;
The time period is in a time around knights and kings, no techy stuff! [:
You only know you have a grace by the colour of your eyes. there is no big way to figure out what your grace is, but if you're unusually good at something, it's assumed. For instance, in the actual book Graceling, Katsa's Grace is thought to be killing, because she killed a man when she was eight, and was very good at killing people. Mind graces show a little, then get better over time. All Graces are discovered when you first try something after your eyes change, and you're better at it than normal people. You start abnormally good, and can get better with your grace over time.
