Lauren was still hugging her horse, not only was she scared, she was confused "I dont even know whats going on! So why are you telling me this!?" And without much warning, Boo reared back and ran after Rooke and his horse, she sat up and tried to stop, but Boo wasnt responding to any of her movements or whistles, but right when Boo got next to Storm Stallion, she stopped, Lauren looked at Rooke and said quickly "I have no idea what's going on and why did my horse follow you!?"
Star sat there. Looking at the stars. She had to, it was something she did. From the day she was born. She just stared and let the wind catch her face in the icy cold. She yawned. Unaware of where she was she sat down. You see, she wasn't really looking at the stars. She can actually go into a state of mind. She sat there, nowhere dreaming. She couldn't remember where she was. She just sat there and looked at the stars.
Rooke whirled around and saw Lauren. "We all have no idea, and I'm not sure..." he looked at Boo, his eyes staring back at him. He smiled at the horse. He was beautiful. Then he turned back to Simon. "Si, listen. You can't do this. You know that this is dangerous and we have to keep it a secret, okay?" he said, breathing hard, not able to keep his eyes off the deer that was glaring at him. He also though, had his hand clutching his rifle.

Star sneezed. She looked back up at the stars. She could hear a voice. She shivered. She saw a deer in the sky. "A red deer" She said. She stared blankly at the sight. Wat did it mean? A red deer? She sighed. Wait! Something was happening to it. in the stars, a red deer soon became one of the mutated deer. What was going on? The deer slowly walked toward her. "What do you want?" She said loudly. "Help us." It whispered. "help us . . ." She hated having visions. It was to much for a kid like her. She just sat there and screamed. The stars disappeared, the deer disappeared. She just closed her eyes and screamed.
Simon nodded, his rifle back in its previouse position. But the female deer had edged closer, and Stark was sweating more than ever. He nervously stared at her, as if begging her not to attack. She stared back up at the horse, her fangs still bared. Her red eyes glowed with dead hatred and she edged closer. Simon now noticed and looked at her. She would not touch Stark. But he didn't rais his rifle. He kept it at his side, willing the deer not to attack.
Rooke now didn't care if his friend attacked, but it was better not to. Maybe he could scare it. He didn't know what to do though. He stared as the animal came closer. He wouldn't let it hurt his friends. Not at all. He commanded Storm Stallion to take a step back, and he did. For every step the creature took forward, he would take one back. He didn't know what he was doing, or why he was doing it, but his father said to do it when confronted by a lion.

Suddenly, stars eyes went totally white, glowing and shimering. She stood up. Suddenly she was next to rooke. It was a curious thing. but it wasn't her who controlled it. She was floating. Her feet hit the ground and she fell. She was uncauntious. She could hear the voice saying. "Your safe now child, your in good hands . . " What did it mean? She didn't know what was going on. Sherelaxed ad trusted the voice. "I'm safe." she murmered.
Simon watched as the deer came closer, now in range to bite Stark's ankle. Simon held his breath as she drew in a large breath and opened her jaws wide. He didn't want Stark to die. He had lived with that horse for too long to let him go. Stark was shaking with fear, unable to move away from the deer. He wanted to run but was too scared.
Rooke knew that it was time to do something. He reached into his pocket and yanked out some jerky he had packed as a snack. "Mutant want a jerky?" he called, and hurled the jerky over the animal's head. She turned and raced after it. "Si! Get over here!" he yowled, waving his hand at him. He watched the animal devour the strip and suddenly she came trotting back to him, but this time her eyes didn't fill with hatred, but with gratefulness. She was almost smiling. "Hello there," Rooke whispered around the lump in his throat. The mutant seemed happy. He was too scared right now to do anything else. Was that look inhere eyes, erm, trust?

Star opened her eyes. "AAAAAAAAH! NO THE DEER! NO NO NO NO NO!!" She screamed. She closed her eyes and covered her ears. "Make it go away! Make it go away!" She said. She couldn't help it. She'd seen so many visions of them. They were a horror to her. She leaned over and bumped something. Not knowing it was Rooke's leg she screamed once again. She rolled over and shivered.
