Tanner shrugged. "Maybe you could hide it somewhere, but what's the point of that? Maybe you should ask Allana," he suggested. He thought. Why would it have been left here by an old person? It was a music box, so why not a child? A little girl, that liked to watch the dancers and pretend that she was one of them, and dance around the apartment like the little people. He shook the thought away and filed it in "This is either dumb, weird, or just plain awkward and you shouldn't think about it ever again" file in his brain.

"Alright. Hey, ya' wanna go outside and race? Might be fun to stretch those stubby legs of yours."She laughed. She had a bright glint to her purple eyes that seemed to make them glow with delight. Her black hair shown with dignity as she stepped outside. The sun was out now, and the day looked much brighter, especialy for them. She stretched her legs, ready for the race.
Tanner smiled. "Soon you'll see," he laughed, and stepped up to a crack in the sidewalk. "We'll start here, and go to the end of the block. How does that sound?" he asked, and readied himself. He started stretching, then his wolf senses caught the scent of something dead. Human. No, no, wolf. No, human. A dead human and wolf? He was a human\wolf! So were his companions! What if one of them were dead? He turned to Kirene, fear in his eyes. Allana had been gone. Was she dead? He caught the mingled scent of her too!

Kirene saw Tanner's worried expression and nervouse glances, understanding what he meant. "Do you know what that scent is?" she asked him. Her senses were intune. She looked around and could feel the presence of something half dead. She started walking away from him, trying to find it. SHe looked a bit towards one of the shops and speid something in an alleyway. It looked like it was limping....
