Gabby sat there in her room. Her long brown hair was tangled and ratty. She stared at her dresser. She had nothing to do or say. The red carpet felt funny under her feet. Her hazel eyes were trailing off every now and then. Her mind was deep in thought.
"Gabriella!" her mom called up the stairs. "What?" She yelled back. "Dinner's ready!" She said.
Dinner. She hoped Dave wouldn't be there. Dave was always there. Dave was her mom's horrible boyfriend. When would her mom know how horrible he was? Gabby stalked down the stairs. She heard he little brother running around. Then, she heard david. It was horrible having him here all the time. "Gabby!" Simon yelled, hugging her. "Get off!" She said, pushing him away. "Why arn't you playing or something?" "Why aren't you fun anymore?" he replied.
Why wasn't she fun? There was nothing to be fun about. She hated Dave, she hated babysitting all the time, and she hated being the center of attention. She wanted to lay low, but with a family like her's it was hard.
"Gabby!" Dave said happily. He stepped forward. Gabby stepped back. "Dave." She said blandly, walking past him.
Gabby rolled her eyes. She hated that man. Everything about him. He could never replace her real father. He could naver be her real father, he could never be more then Dave.
"Sweetie," Her mom said, drying a dish. "Dave's trying to reach out to you." "Yeah?" I said. "Well I wish he'd stop."
Gabby's mom looked at Dave and shrugged. Not everything could go as planned. All her mother waned was for him and gabby to get along.
Eating, Gabby Quickly shuffled through her food. Trying to get done, so she wouldn't have to see dave's big fat face anymore. Dave smiled at her. She looked away. /she hated seeing that pleading face. As if he could ever replace her father.
"Give it a rest." She told dave, with a flick of her hand. "No, I will not." he said sitting up. "do or don't it wont do you any good,"
Dave sighed. What was wrong with her. Why didn't she just accept him? Him and Gabby mother, if they were going to be married, then she'd have to get along with him.
"Mom! How could you?!" Gabby burst out suddenly. "Why'd you take off your wedding ring?" "Sweetie, I . . " "You cant just act like dad never existed! Thats the only thing we have left of him and you don't care to wear it!"
Gabby was breathing heavily. Tear whelmed up in her mother's eyes. She'd never yelled at her mother. but she had to. She loved her dad. She missed him. She cried every night because of him, and her mom just dates dave. Dave. What a stupid guy, dave.
"Listen, Gabby . . " Dave said. "Dont you start!" She said in a whisper. "I've had enough of you."
Dave stood up. He was angry. He clutched his fist.
"you've had enough of me?!" he shouted. "I your mother's future husband! And this is how your going to treat your soon to be father?!" "I will never call you father." She said, with a quiver in her voice and tears in her eyes, she looked at her mom. "I can tell now that dad loved me more then you ever did! He cared about me!"
Gabby ran upstairs and slammed her door. She fell onto her bed, crying. She berried her face in her pillow. She looked at the picture of her dad.
"Why'd you have to leave me here? Why'd you have to go?!" She cried. "I hate Dave, and now him and mom hate me! Why'd you have to go?" She weped. "Why?!"
