IC: Meanwhile, another agent, Matayo Yamamoto, strolled into the Pokemon Center to chose his starters. Looking around, he saw a green blur fly out the door he came through. He only wondered what it was, and moved on. Matayo saw rows of pens, each containing a different basic Pokemon. Matayo browsed through each one. The first two were Pichu and Carmander. He then came to a Riolu pen and saw a Riolu being harassed. When it had enough of being teased, it attacked the other Riolu and knocked them out. Matayo instantly entered the pen and ran over to it. The Riolu fled, but Matayo quickly caught up with it and tackled it. He had chosen his Pokemon and registered them. The second he got out of the Pokemon Center, Matayo used the Abra Warp System to teleport to Cerulean City.

IC: Matayo finally arrived at the Cerulean City Pokemon Center only to find out he was the only one there.He walked out of the Pokemon Center only to bump into two Bikers, there in knocking over their motorcycles. The mirror to one broke off, which really angered them. "Gah! My wheels!", shouted one of them.He growled while the other one screamed,"Hey, Runt! Get back here!". Matayo turned and asked bluntly,"What?". "You trashed our wheels,", the first one said,"nobody trashes the Biker Brothers' wheels and gets away with it! Do you hear me Runt? You'll pay."
"We challenge you to a Pokemon battle! Loser pays for the repairs." Matayo turned his hat sideways and replied,"Okay." Seeing as to how they each had one Pokemon, Matayo figured it would be a short battle. He took two of his pokeballs, threw them into the air and shouted,"Riolu and Pichu, I chose you!", while the brothers sent out thier Stunky and Zubat. The battle commenced! "Pichu, use Thundershock on Zubat and Riolu, use Pound on Zubat as well!", Matayo shouted. Pichu used Thundershock and hit Zubat, stuning it, while Riolu used Pound to finish it off. The massive dammage caused it to faint. <Easy KO> Matayo thought. <I agree> Thought another voice. Matayo shook his head andwondered who agreed with him, but quickly refocused on the battle. One of the bros. shouted," Zubat, use Headbutt!" Zubat got up instantly and shot forward. Riolu dodged ,but Pichu got hit full-force and was sent flying into Matayo's face. The blow almost gave Matayo a concussion and knocked the wind out of Pichu. The impact sent Matayo flying while Pichu sat on the ground, tears in its eyes, when the other brother shouted," Stunky, use Quick Attack on Pichu!" Matayo retaliated quickly , shouting,"Riolu, move Pichu out of the way!" Riolu sprinted to Pichu, grabbed it, and just barely dodged Stunky's Quick Attack, whereas Matayo recovered from the blow and sprinted back to the battle. Pichu shook off the pain and became enraged. Matayo shouted,"Riolu, use Quick Attack to catch up with Stunky, and Pichu use Thundershock one more time on Zubat!" Riolu dashed after Stunky while Pichu jumped and shocked Zubat. Zubat fell to the ground. The first bro. shouted,"Zubat use Astonish!" Zubat didn't respond. "Zubat, get up!", the bro. shouted. Zubat still didn't respond. "Darn! Time to show them Stunky's most powerful move." "You said it!" replied the second Brother. The second bro then said,"Stunky, turn and use Dark Ball!" Stunky immediately turned around and launched a black sphere from it's mouth. This time Pichu dodged it ,but Riolu got caught in it and took massive damage. Matayo then shouted,"Riolu, use Focus Energy!" Riolu did as he said, leaving the Biker Bros mystified. They were wondering what Matayo was planning when he shouted,"Pichu, use Charm." Pichu then shot an awkwardly cute pose at Stunky, but it had no effect. The brothers began laughing when Matayo said,"Riolu, use Focus Punch!" The Biker Bros. heard that and quickly yelled,"Stunky-", but before they finished, Stunky was hit. They then figured out why Matayo had told his Riolu to use Focus Energy before. Stunky was immediately KO'd by the blow. Matayo had won! "Excellent job you two! Return!", Matayo said, and the two Pokemon returned to their poke-balls. The Biker Bros. walked over to Matayo. "You're pretty strong for a kid.", the first brother said. He continued saying,"My name is Eric, and This is Benji." They both then shouted,"Were the infamous Biker Brothers!", and posed. "What's your name?", Benji asked. "My name is Matayo Yamamoto.", he replied,"Glad to meet you. Oh, sorry about the motorcycles." "It's fine,", replied Eric,"We'll get them repaired. Say, can we get your Pokegear number? We may want a rematch in the future." "Sure.", Matayo replied. They then exchanged numbers. The Bros. then simultaneously said,"Later, Matayo." "Later, you two." Matayo said, as he turned his hat back on right, and walked away.

Hikari walked out to where the battlers were. She'd let her Pokemon watch this match, even if she was itching to get out and fight herself. However, she noticed that most of these agents had one more Pokemon than she did... Shrugging mentally, she took out her notepad and got ready to take notes on the competitive strategies that she might could use in the future. Hikari always looked on the intelligent, rational side of things instead of going by her gut instinct, but she could rely on instinct when she had to.
