"Yeah, of course I can." said Viverpaw, but her smile still didn't come back. "But...what would you do if you really trusted someone and found out they were going to be the cause of disaster? What would you think would have caused that? Maybe because I left or we might set them off or something..." she continued. She had been especially close to Sharp when they were caught. He wouldn't do that would he? They had been the first to meet when that had happened. And she couldn't beleive he would do that.

Copperpaw could tell Viverpaw was as worried as he was, but he didn't want boh of them to be sad messing up the top part of her head fur with his paw he smiled and shrugged. "Come on we dot know that its really them who are going to hurt the clans,or maybe I could have heard that cat wrong." He flicked his tail and hopeed Viverpaw wasn't to down about the whole thing as he was.

Viverpaw gave a l8ight smile. "Yeah, we don't really know that for sure. Come on, let's go ask Hazelclaw if we can hunt." she said, quickly walking over to Hazelclaw's den. She short stopped however. SOmething was wrong. She couldn't smell him anymore. His scent went out to the forest."COme on COpperpaw, I think there's trouble." she said, running off into the forest. She had run pretty far, and came to the border. Hazelclaw's scent seemed almost forcfully dragged over it. In d=fact there were claw marks in the ground as if he had been. She spotted Carvern, Sharp, Fang, and Laluche, laying sprawled on the ground with wounds all over. One was missing the others were alive. She quickly ran over to help them up."Where's Hazelclaw?!" she asked, her eyes darkening. "One of our own-he betrayed us and took Hazelclaw. He had given him many wounds..." trailed off SHarp as he fell unconcious.

Treepaw walked around the camp, waiting for Copperpaw and Viverpaw to come back. He flopped down in a sunny spot, but he couldn't find peace. Not with the memory of the dogs fresh in his mind. He dug his claws into the earth and sighed looking tentatively out the entrance of the camp and every square inch of the barrier around the camp. He stood, too agitated to sit still, and stalked around some more. Then he leaped at Tatterwind, who was eating at the fresh-kill pile. "Can we hunt?" he asked. Tatterwind nodded.

Viverpaw looked at them in dismay. So one of them actually was the problem? She looked to COpperpaw. "Can you please wait here while I go get the others?" she asked. Not waiting for a reply, she skirted back to camp, taking an immediat halt to Tatterwind and Treepaw. "Guys, come on! Hazelclaw's been kidnapped!" she cried. She was shaking just to get back over there and make sure that the other cats and Hazelclaw and Copperpaw were safe.

Copperpaw watched as Viverpaw went to go get help. Turning his head he looked down at one of the loners. "Help will be on the way." he murmered and looked ahead. Hazelclaw was in trouble and as the brown and white apprentice learned before waiting will just make things worse. "Where did they go?" He looked at the group who were getting up slowly and washing there scars. One of the loners, the one of attacked him before spoke first. "Well right before I became unconsious I saw him head toward are camp but then he turned to outside territory." Copperpaw nodded and looked at the direction the loner described. "Thank you. If Viverpaw comes back with help tell her where I went and make sure she knows wheres shes going if she decides to follow." With that Copperpaw dashed off in the direction the loner had gone and started to follow his scent.

Treepaw and Tatterwind looked at Viverpaw. They looked at each other, then raced after her. "Hurry! We have to find him!" mewed Treepaw. His heart raced with fear. How could Hazelclaw have been kidnapped? He was the deputy for StarClan's sake!

Copperpaw kept his senses alert as he walked deeper into another clans territory. The loners scent stretched from Waterclan territory all the way to unclaimed territory. Looking up to the sky Copperpaw sighed and sent a silent prayer to starclan hoping Hazelclaw was ok. Looking back down he began following the scent again and knew if he was caught by another clans patrol he would be in big trouble.

Viverpaw burst ahead, willing starclan that Hazelclaw was safe. She whirled past Copperpaw and was hit by the fresh scent of Waterclan cats and a Beast Pack cat. Hazelclaw's scent mingled with them. Suddenly, she saw Sharp staggering after her, a determined expression on his face. But he couldn't go as fast with his wounds. Viverpaw kept going forewards, and rammed right into a Waterclan cat, and the Beast Pack cat that held Hazelclaw. THey gave startled yowles as she charged right through them, Hazelclaw flying into the brush. The Beast Pack cat snarled and hissed at her, his fangs glistining. SHe ran straight at him, the Waterclan cat racing away.
