Copperpaw raced after her seeing Viverpaw already up the tree. "Cheater!" He called knowing he had cheated himself. Climbing up the tree after her he went a few more branches up and looked out into the territory. The wind blew into his face this time without any voice or signal for him to follow. Looking around he climbed even higher until he could see some of the higher branches in the trees around him. "Come up here." he called down to Viverpaw.

"Alright." Viverpaw replied, heading up the tree with her claws scraping the bark desperatley to reach him. She made it up, looking out into the scenery. THe trees were thick with a light haze. Fog was entering the forest as well. What was going on? SHe hadn't noticed any fog earlier. It had been clear. "You see the fog?" she asked COpperpaw with a bit of unease inher voice. Her tail and ears twitched with nerve.

Copperpaw looked to where Viverpaw was looking at and tilted his head. "Yea, I do. Maybe we should go back it's coming fast and we don't want to be lost in our own territory." He joked alittle and leapt off the branches one by one until he reached the ground. Waiting for Viverpaw he watched the fog come closer. "This is the second time I've seen fog." He commented as he waited.

VIverpaw climbed down. "This is the first time for me." she said. The fog swirled around until it enveloped th terra. She walked around, listening to Copperpaw's movements. THe fog dampened her pelt and felt chilling to the bone. But-it also felt quite refreshing. Like a splash in the river. She didn't mind the feeling much, considering how the heat had been more intense earlier. "So-which direction first?" she asked Copperpaw through the haze.

Copperpaw kept close to the other apprentice as the fog seemed to engulf the whole forest. "Uh..." Sniffing the air he pushed his ears back only taking in the scent off wetness and grass. "I think it's this way." He pointed his tail in a random direction and began walking always staying close enough to Viverpaw that his long fur touched hers. "I think..." He repeated and looked at the she-cat. "What do you think?"

Viverpaw looked around, spotting a branch they'd marked earlier. "How bout this way?" she asked, staying close as she walked over. "We have to make sure we don't take any turns or short cuts." she said. The fog seemed to condense sound though. It was hard for her to hear Copperpaw's voice over the fog.

Copperpaw nodded straining his ears just to her Viverpaw's voice. Following her he kept his head strait and felt his eyes water up alittle as he blinked in the fog. Listening to the forest around him Copperpaw tilted his head but the only sound he could make out was a faint chirp of a bird.

Viverpaw listened and stopped a bit. COpperpaw's pawsteps-if those were his-were drawing closer. She slowed her pace to a low trot, her ears pricked. SUddenley, a loud meow came out from the trees above. She backed up as a cat landed in front of them, squinting in the haze. "Who are you?" asked the stranger in a low, deep voice. "Who are you?" she asked, her voice seeming light and thin. COpperpaw was bhind her right? she turned.

Copperpaw heard a loud meow and ran to Viverpaw's side. Trying to make out who was infront of them Copperpaw narrowed his eyes but only saw a cat's outline. Hissing he bristled and tried not to let fear creep up on him. If they fought with this cat it would be hard to do anything because of the fog blocking their vision.
