Jaggedpine smiled as he watched Ebonyclous walking toward the nursery, and he remembered how little time there was left until some of the kits were apprenticed. He turned and walked over to where Scorchheart. "Hey there," he called. "What are you doing?" he asked.

"Oh, I'm trying to get some people so we can fill up the ever lowering fresh kill pile." Scorchheart laughed. "I don't suppose you'd want to go out since you've been out so much?" she giggled. But her smile vanished a bit as she looked back at Shadowpaw. He was prowling off, and trying to show some kits that they should figth like he did. He had his pose completeley wrong.
Jaggedpine narrowed his eyes. "I can take care of that for now on, but thank you anyway," he said. He looked around the camp and saw what Scorchheart was looking at. Shadowpaw. He padded up to the apprentice silently and placed a paw gently on his back. The apprentice yowled and leaped up. Jaggedpine couldn't help but laugh. Then he crouched next to the apprentice. "Leave the kits alone, please," he said. Shadowpaw nodded.

Scorchheart gave him a nod and a slight smile at Shadowpaw's reaction. Seeing as they were buissey at the moment, she saught out something to do. But there wasn't much left to be done around camp for that day. She padded up to them and sat for a few moments. "You guys have any idea of what we can do?" she asked them.
Paintedleaf saw Schorchheart, Jaggedpine and Shadowpaw next to the nursery and tilted her head. Hunting didn't seem much fun right now. Looking up at the sky she flicked her tail and sighed. The day was going by to slow. Getting up she walked out of the camp. A walk around the territory would make the day go faster, plus she could hunt on the way, and pick up any herbs for Aurapaw and Shatterstep. Sniffing the air, she smelled Ebonycloud's scent a little way off but decided to go the other way. "He's prbably hunting or something.." She thought and walked off toward a deserted two-leg path not far off.
Scorchheart sat down for a bit, looking at the others. "Say, you guys just want to walk around camp or the terra? I'm sure we might find something interesting along the way." she said. Paintedleaf crossed her mind. Where was she? "Have you guys seen Painted? I swore I could've seen her by the camp entrance." she asked them. Ebonycloud had vanished too. "Right after a fight? Bah, Ebbs probably went out to check the border or something, and Paint is in the warriors den." she mumbled.
Paintedleaf looked ahead as she followed the empty two-leg path letting her paws take her along it's some-what winding paths. Straining her ears for any sounds of prey a faint meow reached her ear. Tilting her ear she listened. "Who's there?" She questioned and the meow got louder this time sounding as if it was in pain. Racing to the sound Paintedleaf found her self near the edge of Thunderclan border as the meow began to slow down as if in defeat. "Anyone here?" He mewed and a low groam came from a nearby bush. Stepping out of Thunderclan territory and into unclaimed territory the calico's pelt bristled not knowing what she would find. Walking to the bush that seemed to meow Paintedleaf looked around the bush to see a tabby and calico cat laying on his side. "A-Are you ok?" She stuttered. The tom looked at her winced. "No, I have a bad cut on my side...I need..." He stopped and rested his head on the ground and closed his eyes. "help..." he moaned and didn't speak anymore. Paintedleaf walked closer to the cat cautious that he wasn't tricking her and was going to swipe at her. Smelling blood she looked at the ground and saw a patch of blood under the tom's side. "I'll help you.." She murmered and sighed. She wasn't just going to leave him die, she had to do something. Yowling she wondered if anyone from her clan heard, but no one answered back. Sliding her head under the tom's body she lifted him up and slid him onto her back. "This day is just full of surprises.." She murmered and began walking at a quick pace to camp, yowling every now and then hoping someone would hear and help her.
Scorchheart heard faint meow coming from the forest. without warning, she raced off, following the sound. She couldn't much answer back. but she soon recognized the meows as Paintedleaf's. She had raced far from cammp, and spotted Painted carrying a bleeding tom. She ran up to her. "Paintedleaf? WHat happened?" she asked. She looked at the tom. He had a huge gash to his side. Something large, like a badger or fox might have done that. She went over, soothing his ears. "What happened to you out here?" she asked in a gentle voice.
Paintedleaf was relieved to see Scorchheart, without talking she lifted the tom so half of his body was on Scorchhearts pelt, and the other on Paintedleaf's. "He's unconsious...I don't know what happened but I found him behind a bush just outside the territory." She felt some of tom's blood ooze down her pelt and she quickened her pace. "Were almost there..." She whispered and looked to Scorchheart. "Can you call Shatterstep for me." She heaved. The calico warrior was already out of breath as she made it close to the camp.
Scorchheart nodded. She kept pace, and gave a great yowle. "SHATTERSTEP! AURAPAW!" she meowed into the forest. THey were at the camp entracnce. She ran over to the medicine cat's den and started patching up the tom. SHe grabbed heaps of cob webs, wrapping them thickley. What ever had happened this warrior was lucky for painted's arrival. He would have died had she no come.
