ic: Mossflower sighed. "Wait! Ebonycloud! I.. I didn't mean to hurt you in any way. I promise. I'm sorry if I did so..." She looked down, a bit embarrassed. "It's just if I patrol with you, or whatever, i'll be too tempted to talk about the prophecy. I refuse to believe it's true, even though we all had it." She lowered her voice so no other warrior could hear her. "I don't believe that StarClan would allow this destruction. I don't believe that they could possibly allow only 2 clans to live. I don't. I though StarClan was the reason we LIVED. I'll stick with you guys, back you up, but I still don't believe it. I'm sorry." She licked Ebonycloud's shoulder respectfully and sighed.

The dark warrior's face softened as he placed a paw on her head and tussled the fur there. "Dont worry about it. I understand. Its just if you dont state your reasons before hand others will think you dont want to join them because you think they smell as bad as Shadowclan," he winked warmly at the younger warrior before placing his paw back on the ground. "If you still want to go on a different patrol then go ahead. Im still heading out, you can join me if you want to. If not, stay here and wait for Jaggedpine." With that the tom turned and headed toward the tunnel, he waved his tail for goodbye.

Mossflower sighed. She was glad that Ebonycloud understood her. She laughed, meowed her goodbyes, and turned to wait for Jaggedpine to announce the patrols. Every now and then, her mind strolled to the dream. She tried to push it off, but the prophecy kept coming back until it filled her head. She sighed and closed her eyes, remembering every word of it. Annoyed, she finally ran off to the forest, nose on the ground, finding Ebonycloud. It was no use now. The prophecy was on her mind -- she couldn't do ANYTHING to keep it out of her mind -- so she had to talk to the black warrior now.

Ebonycloud trotted through the woods listening the world around him. It was strange that such a terrible prophecy could be true when such beauty was making the day glorious. The white snow on the ground blanketed the world letting it sleep until spring. Only a few birds were around this time of year but their chirping did brighten the day. The dark warrior stood out in the world, his pelt making him appear to everything. Normally he was well hidden but in this world he was at a disadvantage. Still, he wasnt out here to hunt now anyway. Ebonycloud breathed in deeply and let his heart settle and be content.

Mossflower dodged every bird, every tree. His scent was fresh, Ebonycloud was definitely near here awhile ago. It hasn't been long since their last talk. She was so intent on the ground that she ran into him. Looking up, Mossflower blushed. Only kits did that!
She smiled at him. Mossflower knew Ebonycloud was a mind reader. He probably knew that she was thinking.
"Um..." Her purple eyes darted around. "I wanted to talk to you. About the dream."

Ebonycloud was startled by Mossflower and gave a loud yelp as a result. His heart jumped in to his throat but he managed to act cooler than he felt about it. "Mossflower!" he gasped. When she told him her buisness he couldnt help the knowing smirk the took his face. "So... what do you want to know about the dream? I had one last night and suprisingly all of us were there. If you saw it too then it must be true." THe dark tom sighed, "Alright then, if i must accept it then i will. Doesnt make me any happier though... So, what is it?"

Mossflower sighed, embarrassed. "Okay... not to be.. sexist or whatever, but I'm asking you because technically, you're older than all of us who had the dream and I need a wise mind. And.. Duskstar and I... you know, she's kinda LEADER here, and I don't wanna get on her bad side." Mossflower laughed and turned pink a little bit. Anything was better than dealing with a mad leader. "So... I wanted to know if you... you believe it. Like believe that only TWO clans will exist sooner or later." She sighed. "I'm scared, Ebonycloud. I'm terrified. I don't want ThunderClan to die. I don't want to be controlled by..." She shuddered, "ShadowClan. I can't see that. But if it's what StarClan predicted, how can we not believe it? I'm so scared, i'm refusing to believe what StarClan has told us. And you know that it's not me."

Duskstar · ThunderClan Leader

Duskstar awoke, stretching in her mossy nest before standing up and padding outside, frowning gently as she looked around the camp, more to wake her up than anything else. She couldn't just not tell the other clans at the Gathering tonight, StarClan would wreak havoc if ignored. She couldn't talk to the leaders, most of them would assume she was threatening them and cancel the Gathering immediately. With a heavy sigh, she decided that she must tell every cat when it was her turn to speak. She also realized that this would make ThunderClan not very well-liked by the rest of the Clans. But if it would protect her cats, then she would do it. Leaping from the Highledge to the camp ground - she couldn't bother with the rockfall today - she called a few of the warriors together, mainly those already awake. "Bluepelt, Pouncetail, and Pinewhisker. You three will be going to the Gathering tonight, along with Scorchheart, Ebonycloud, Jaggedpine, Mossflower, Paintedleaf, and Shatterstep. No apprentices, queens or elders this time." The three cats looked at her strangely, but she just shook her head.
"You'll understand later."

Paintedleaf sat at the edge of the other cats and flicked her tail with a bit of excitment. What was Duskstar going to say at the gathering? If she told the other lans about the propechy would they believe her? The calico warrior coudnt wait till they left camp and made it to the gathering.
