Duskstar stayed in front of her significantly smaller patrol - what with the absence of queens, elders, and apprentices - and held her head high, seemingly unconcerned. She didn't speak with Guststar, and in fact kept her patrol just a little behind, making sure that they were still at the lakeshore. She would figure out what to say, somehow. Hopefully.

"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
Jaggedpine nodded to Paintedleaf. "It's a good night to be a ThunderClan cat," he remarked, but he didn't think that at all. He would have to tell the rest of the clans that only two would survive. He sighed deeply and padded over to Duskstar. "This...is going to be hard," he panted, staring at the gathering cats. Anxiety rippled through him and he felt nervous. He looked at the leader. "We'll all help though, everyone that had the dream. After all, Speedstar didn't tell one specific cat."

Mossflower padded a couple of beats behind Ebonycloud, her mind on the prophecy. Was Duskstar going to tell all four clans about the prophecy a few ThunderClan cats had? And how would they take it? Yes, she was prepared for a fight. But she didn't want to. StarClan would never forgive them if they fought at the gathering. She padded towards Ebonycloud. "Do you think Duskstar would tell the clans right away?" she asked.
"I'll speak, thank you," Duskstar meowed tersly, her own nerves high strung at the thoughts of the Gathering. "All I need is your support, right now. I would rather not any of my warriors spoke early and made the situation worse." She shook her head softly and trotted forward, watching the approaching fallen tree.

Ebonycloud shrugged. "If we take our turn first it would more than likely be the best way to approach it but then again..." he trailed off as he once again eyed Duskstar. "This is going to be tough. Just make sure to get anyone you sit around to stay silent so the leaders can discuss this. Its not going to be a good night." A growl pushed pas the tom's lips and it melded with a sigh. The old tree that led to the island came in to sight and the scent of Riverclan and Shadowclan mingled together. "Show time..."
Scorchheart had made it to the meeting and was sitting with another group. SHe padded through and looked over to Jaggedpine and the others. SHe sat down, waiting to see who would start. She knew Duskstar would only want one person to support her at the time when it came to spaking, and that would be either Jaggedpine or Ebonycloud. Seeing Shadowpaw padding over, she greeted him with the usual friendly tail wave. He nodded with a slight smile and went over to a group of Shadowclan cats. He did speak to plenty of cats other than just thunder clan cats, but he knew how to keep information to himself.
Paintedleaf stopped behind the tree leading to the island and waited for everyone to pass by before she did. Looking back toward the island she saw a few tails disappearing and it made her alittle nervous wondering what the outcome of this gathering would be like.
Jaggedpine sighed and padded away. Every day, he felt more distant from his leader. She was very agitated, but he would have to work harder than usual to try to take some weight off her shoulders. He padded over to where Paintedleaf was. "I just hope no one gets hurt," he said, but with no feeling. He looked over to where the other deputies were. He padded over. One deputy, the RiverClan deputy that had always been his friend, smiled at him. "Hey Jaggedpine," she said. "Hi, Streamsong," the black and white tom said back. Streamsong nudged him. "Are you okay?" she asked. Jaggedpine shrugged and turned his attention to his leader.
