Scorchheart gave a nod. She helped them renew the scent markers on the border, opening her mouth and drinking in the air. She scented no other patrols, and calmly walked over to Jaggedpine. "I think I can stay with you a bit longer." she said with a grin. She walked around, just really trying to lose the adrenellin she had from all this running. She was excited, mainly because today she wanted to make the most out of it.

Duskstar · ThunderClan Leader

One of Duskstar's ears twitched, dropping down as she opened her eyes. "Good morning, Ebonycloud!" she called back, standing up and stretching in the sunlight before leaping down the rocks. "Are you on any patrols today, or would you like to go hunting?" She raised a paw and bounced it forward, stretching it in a way that was uniquely hers. Glancing at the fresh-kill pile, she saw that they would need more. Perhaps when Jaggedpine got back she would take a hunting patrol out. Today was a day that the tabby felt she wanted to run through the forest, to stretch, to enjoy any peace that she could get.

Ebonycloud grinned at her, "Well, whatever suites you best leader. I dont have a patrol im on and if you want me to occompany you then i would most certainly be glad to do so." The long legged warrior trotted forward and his whiskers quivered with laughter, "Did you figure that having a longer legged warrior would test yor racing abilities?" He teased her playfully, yet he kept a respectful tone in his voice.

Duskstar let out a mrrow of laughter, her eyes sparkling. "Perhaps. You're awfully perceptive these days," she teased back. "I'll take out a hunting patrol as soon as Jaggedpine gets back and leave him on duty, unless they decided to cover both borders, in which case I'll leave one of my senior warriors on duty." She shrugged, sitting down in the dust, licking a paw and pulling it over her ear.

Ebonycloud · WindClan Deputy

Ebonycloud gave a shrug, "I wouldnt mind going along with you though. As soon as they get back we can go. Its been a while since i got to challenge you to a game of who can catch more." THe edge of the tom's mouth quirked up. He remembered being an apprentice when Duskstar was no more than Duskkit. He had teased her as he did now. Perhaps even a little more. He would chase her during patrols and challenge her to hunting missions to see who had the better skills. Of course he was always doing this just to build his friendship with her. He figured that having a friendly rival when one was young would help their skills in the long run. Ebonycloud's tail flicked back and forth playfully for a moment.

OOC: Not sure if Duskie is younger or older but since our usual story for them is that Ebbs is older im going with that ^^

Jaggedpine smiled at Scorchheart. "Okay then," he said, waving his tail for his patrol to gather. "So, should we go patrol the borders down closer to the lake, or go home?" he asked, eyes twinkling.
"I think we should go to the lake," Raspclaw said. Midnightstep shrugged.
"Perhaps Duskstar will want us back now?" she suggested. Jaggedpine ****ed his head.
"Perhaps. We'll just take a quick look at the WindClan border by the lake," he said, turning to Scorchheart, Paintedleaf, and Aurapaw.

"Yeah, sure." said scorchheart. She saw why Jaggedpine was having a hard time. Every one kept suggesting let, right, back, or forth. So she would just go along to keep from causing trouble. She looked to the others, waiting to see their replies. Unless this was like a vote. Then That would be 2 against 1 against 1, meaning Jaggers would get the winning vote.

Paintedleaf · WindClan Warrior

Paintedleaf nodded wanting to spend more time near Windclan border. It seemed weird the Thunderclan cat would like Windclan so much but it was only the territory, and maybe their attitudes. She seemed more like a Windclan cat then a Thunderclan cat but Thunderclan was her birthclan and she would protect everyone with all her life. Darting down toward the lake shore border she lapped up some water and scented the border then sat down and waited for the patrol.

Scorchheart walked over to Paintedleaf, lapping up some water herself. It tasted fesh, but the chill made it bitter. It at least soothed the dry feeling in her throat. She padded over to sit next to Paintedleaf, ears twitching with contentment. Maybe something really good would happen, she didn't know, but she had this feeling that maybe going this way would do them good. But she wasn't about to tell the Deputy of Thunderclan what to do. She thought back to Duskstar and Ebbonycloud. Before she had gone here, she was going to ask them to go for a quick hunt, or at least on of them. But this seemed to be fitting for the day.
