Dallas kept his eyes on the window watching some cars as they passed. "Mhmmm...." Was all he could say rather mumble. Thinking of Johnny again Dallas began mumbling one of his favorite songs by Eminem. Trying to keep the thought of having to see his brother in a casket sooner or later Dallas' mind began to drift off as he closed his eyes.
Jenna grunted. "Enough of this!" Jenna opened the door to Seth's classroom. "Seth, emergency." The teacher started to speak but Jenna put one finger up. "Big emergency, Seth. It's Scottie. C'mon." Stomping past people three years her senior, Jenna grabbed Seth's arm and dragged him out of the room. She seemed to be the only one who didn't have trouble standing or walking. Her face was distressed as she dragged him out of the school. "Scottie ran out screaming. We gotta ditch and find out what's wrong. And I'll get the car."

Dallas felt his phone vibrate as he snapped back to reality. Taking it out of his pocket it was one of his friends from history but he didnt feel like talking to them now. Looking through his phonebook he saw Jenna's name and sent her a text. 'Hey Jenna, meet me at Scotties house, I got to talk to you about something.' He sent the text and leaned back on the seat. He had to know what was going on with everyone else they seemed as sad as he and Scottie were.
Jenna's phone vibrated in her back pocket and letting go of Seth, she stared at it. "See you soon," Jenna replied to Dallas's text. "Seth, I... gotta go. Catch ya on the flip side," she said. She hugged him and gave him a comforting peck on the cheek like she usually did. Then Jenna ran off towards Scottie's house, the opposite side of the town. "Oh... My... God...!" gasped Jenna, halfway there to Scottie's. "Thank... God... I... Run... Cross... Country!" she finished, skidding to a halt before she crossed the street. Her forehead was covered in a light sheen of sweat from her run. "Cross country, five minute fifteen second mile," she laughed to herself to keep from falling forwards. It had taken her twenty minutes to get to Scottie's street and she walked the last two minutes. She was sure Seth had either gone back into the school or gone home. Hopefully home.
Stomping into Scottie's home (the door was unlocked), Jenna shouted, "I'm home!" Storming the kitchen, she grabbed a mug and filled it with water to quench her thirst. She knew Scottie and Dallas were staring. "Cross country keeps you in shape. Trust me," she laughed. Then she filled the cup again. Putting it on the counter, she wet a paper towel and wiped her face and neck. Then she wrung it out and threw it in the trash. "So...," she said. She hadn't stormed into Scottie's house like that for years. Before she met Micayla, she and Scottie were pretty close. They still were, but not as.

Dallas had just put his bags in Scotties living room when Jenna came, looking over to her he laughed alittle and sat on the closest sofa. "Where's Seth?" He tought for a moment and reliezed he forgot to tell her to bring the boy. "Oh Shoot! I forgot to text you about bringing him." Placing his hand on the back of his neck he sighed and leaned back. "I've been meaning to ask you whats been going on? It seems everyones been depressed lately." He spoke calmly without giving away any emotions that would hurt her in any way.
Jenna stopped in her tracks. "Seth should be here," she declared, evidently not going to say anything until Seth arrived. She had noticed they weren't looking a hundred - perfcent either. Biting her lip, Jenna took a sip of water but coughed and leaned forwards, using one hand to prop herself up. Walking into the living room again, she sat on a chair with her legs pulled underneath her. Her face was grim and said, "And the only reason is that, you know, none of us are one-hundred - percent. I can tell. You can tell. Alright? I don't mean to sound snappy, but it's necessary he's here to help explain."

Dallas nodded to Jenna and knew she wouldnt really say anything anyways without Seth. Looking at the ground he started to remember Johnny's death again and shook his head like a dog to get it out. Placing his hand on his head he leaned over and stared at the ground waiting for Seth or someone to speak.
