ic;; Leaning back in the chair, she gave a slight laugh. "I will live life normally... I think? It's hard to explain. It's probably what you're feeling. You know they want you to behave -- move on, right? And you can't, because even though it's what they'd want, you can't forget, and you don't want to forget, and you don't want to let go of before." She bit her lip, then stopped and winced in pain. Sipping her drink, she thought carefully before she began to speak again. Tapping her fingers over and over again on the table, she started again. "When I lost my older sister to leukemia... Well I was in rehab then--" Jenna winced "--so i can't say much for her, but he's the reason I went to rehab and stuff like that. I don't want to go on living without his smile, or his reasoning. He was the anchor that kept my feet on the ground. I had the wings that kept my head in the clouds. We were compliments to eachother, oddly enough, and that's why it's gonna be hard." She placed her free hand on top of his.

"And you don't have to treat me to anything else. Worry about yourself. Because it always hits harder the next day." Her dark eyes were bright with caution before she looked away. Her phone was vibrating in her pocket. She took it out and slid it open. A text from Delilah.

"Where's Mathieu?" it asked. Oh no...

"Look, I understand," Seth reasoned, "But Micayla wouldn't WANT me to leave you alone. She would do the same for Mathieu if he lost you. It's practically my DUTY. It's like... like i'm your guardian angel or something. I can't leave you alone. For all I know, Jenna, you'll go have a car run over you, or start smoking and drinking again. You're all I have left in life. You're my best friend. Mathieu's gone. Micayla's gone. You're the last one left of our group. And I don't want you gone either." He took a small sip, his first sip, out of his drink and sighed. "Does Delilah know?" Seth whispered quietly.

"Look, I'm not going to...," started Jenna, but she leaned back again and ran her hands through her hair. Dropping her head, she nodded no. "And it may be your job, and thank you in advance, and all, but... I'm not the last one in our group. You're left, too. Guardian Angel is an interesting use of term, and it fits you." Taking a long draw of her drink, she held up her pointer finger to tell him not to speak. "You're my best friend too, but I'm not gonna binge drink or anything ever again. And no, a car isn't gonna come and run me over. I'm sure of it. I'd rather jump off a bridge... Just saying! Seems like more of a rush." Holding up her hands to say, "I kid, I kid," she then looked at her phone and replied, "Not with me," wondering if Delilah would understand. Then Jenna looked at Seth. "I'm not telling her. I doubt she liked me. She only got along with me for Mathieu, I think. If I told her she'd cut my hand off, take back her bracelets and then murder me. Fun."

"Hold up. Yes, guardian angel fits me well. Thank you. It's quite obvious, don't you see my wings and halo above my head? Secondly, i feel proud to be your best friend. And if you EVER jump off a bridge, i'll jump off to catch you. You will not. And if I find out you go cliff diving or whatever, you're grounded." Seth smiled and took another sip out of his frappucino. "And... Delilah was probably just worried about Mathieu if she ever did something bad to YOU. How could she not like you? You're smart, silly, and funny. And I think we should tell her in person. She'd feel betrayed if she found out later that her boyfriend died and his sister didn't tell her. THEN she'd cut off your hand, take back her bracelets, then murder you. But then I don't see the point on killing you last and cutting off the hand, if she can just kill you first then take back the bracelets." He laughed and drank his drink.

"... For one, if you jumped off I'd kick you so you'd land on shore and survive. Two, you can't ground me you're not my mom -- err, dad. Three, silly and funny are technically the same in my book, and if I check, I'm neither. And yeah we should probably tell her in person. I don't want her to be the one to kill me." Sipping her drink, she stared at him accusingly, her eyes saying, "If I die anyways, and she's the one that kills me, I blame you." Then she cracked a soft smile and laughed lightly. She didn't want to over do it today. Jenna's dark eyes stared at the analog clock behind Seth. The minute hand clicked softly, but she heard it loud and clear.

"Well we'd both survive if I jump off a bridge to save you because I'd be holding onto you so tightly, when you kick me you'll fly with me. Second, yeah I can ground you because I just happen to be cool. And thanks for calling me a woman. Three, silly and funny AREN'T the same in MY book, and you're both in MY world so Ha. And obviously we should tell Delilah in person. She'd kill you if you don't." Seeing Jenna's look, Seth laughed. He took a last sip of his drink and tossed it into the trash, a perfect aim. "Let's get heading. Delilah's probably worried."

Standing, Jenna punched him on the shoulder and said, "Stop acting like a woman." Then she took her drink and started out the door, texting Delilah. "Meet me and Seth at park... See you in ten." Looking over her shoulder she called, "Come on, you old woman. We can't be late." Taking a long sip of her drink, she stared at her cell phone. "Why?" asked Delilah. "Can't say right now... Tell you when we see you at the park." Jenna then looked at the sky. "It's getting dakrk... Won't your 'rents worry, Seth?" asked Jenna. She knew how uptight his parents were. When she and Micayla went over one day and Jenna was getting over a hang over, the parents almost kicked her out. Luckily she covered it and said that she got a minor concussion from lacrosse.

ooc)) I just realized how Jenna is so much like you sometimes :D

Seth shrugged. "Probably not. I mean, they know about Micayla now, and they understand if I want to stay with her and will get home late. And if they call me, i'll tell them what I'm doing." He continued walking, staring into the sky. And somehow, 'Airplanes' by B.o.B was playing in his head as he strolled.
'Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars? I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now.'
He sighed as he closed his eyes. 'I wish that today was a dream. That Micayla and Mathieu are still alive. I want everything to be back to normal. Please.'

ic;; Jenna didn't say and word and kept her eyes straight ahead. Only once did she look at Seth to say, "You're thinking... About what?" But she turned her head forwards again. Forever Young echoed in her head as she walked, her fingers tapping the beat on her thigh. Mr. Hudson and Jay-Z's voices were clear in her head and she hummed without knowing after a minute or so. Of course, she couldn't rap like they could, but after a while Soundtrack 2 My Life played in her head. Kid Cudi was basically Jenna's idol. She instantly hummed that song as it played in her head.
