Dark watched as everything went into chaos.But he could do nouthing to stop it.'I am useless.How can I allow something like this to go on?I wont allow it!Not anylonger!The leaders time is up!' Dark went over too the dogs that had once been prizoners but were now setting themselves free."I forgot to introduce myself.My name is Dark.Let me see your wounds."Dark went over and started bandaging each dog."You need to be strong for tomarro."Then he looked at the pups"Looks like that dark one over there wont be wakeing up very soon,andby the looks of it you will all need plenty of rest."Dark fineshed with there wounds then got up."Good night."Then he went to the woods to find a place to sleep away from the blood.

Arina nodded to Dark. Spectre gave him a salute with his tail, the fun and happry expressions all replaced by a sea of seriouse hatred for the leader of the wild dogs. Arina looked on. He would pay. And she would save both Lucy and River from this devastating nightmare.

Apollo snarled, wishing he had stepped in. He was the leader of this pack for heaven sakes! He just wished he could fight some battles on his own. He sighed and waved his tail to get the pack together. "Come on, we'll make the decision," hr growled, glaring at the leader. He just wanted this idiot to have memories of him in the future.... Something made Apollo stop. Memories? Images flooded his brain of talking to strange dogs that stayed on his territory, spending the night with a beautiful dog named Meera, battling with a mastiff in a strange building, and then fighting it out with Dakota, the mean one.

Arina looked at the distant and clouded look in Apollo's eyes. He too was regaining his memory. She turned. She knew a way to save River and Lucy-but it was pricy. And it wouldn't meqn giving anyone on their side up. It would mean a death. And whether it was hers or someone elses was to be seen. She wqalked over to Appollo. "Listen, I have this plan.." she trailed off. "I know it will work, but-the price we must pay for it to succeed is a death." she said.

Dakota walked by Apollo and felt his muscles tense. Looking at him he seemed to stare at nothing and it looked like he was thinking of something. Looking to Arina she heard what she said and flicked her tail. "Death? Maybe that can be a last resort" she barked and looked at Apollo again who was still staring into space. "Apollo!" she barked and licked his cheek. "Apollo!" she barked again trying to get his attention.

Apollo snapped back to reality and saw Dakota. "You...?" he whispered, then shook his head. "Okay, death, let's see here, just tell me what it is first and then we'll decide," he barked. He couldn't believe that Dakota was mean and he had fought her just a few days before! He was happy she was okay now, and that they could trust each other. They were a pack now.

Arina sighed. "Yeah, it's a last resort." "But... here's the plan. Someone strong has to make the exchange. there are two options, to get one of us to look Like Lucy and have her scent over ours, or just Lucy. WHen we go up to make the exhange, I'm betting it'll be Gizmo who brngs up River. WHen the switch is about to be made, somone will have to ambush him. But at a high point and close range." she explained. "Yes, it sounds rediculously stupid but..." she trailed off. Nightshadow, her sister...she would be all alone in the world. Lucy had no one as a family. But, it didn't matter who's blood a person carried. It only mattered who they loved, and who loved them. And thye were Lucy's family, and eachother's family. No one was getting used and abused by the leader again.

Apollo stepped forward. "I can beat Gizmo easily. I'll do it," he barked. He looked over at Lucy and suddenly felt terrible. "We'll bring her, ambush, and get out of here." He looked back at Arina. It wasn't really a bad plan. They could go through with it.

Richter paced outside of the den. He'd heard everything. He wanted to go and attack that little pipsqueak Gizmo himself, but he hadn't earned the trust of these dogs yet except for Arina.
