Oona laughed noticing the dogs shut up. "About time!" She snapped, loud enough for them to hear. Why couldn't they act like grown dogs insted of a bunch of excited pups?
Luka looked through the crowd until he saw a dog he knew. "You," he said, pointing at the dog. "You look like you know what you're doing. What's going on here?" he asked. The dog stepped to the front of the crowd. "The council can't do anything. It's up to you to fight the university," she explained. Luka growled to himself. "Okay, thank you, you can all leave now," he growled.

"A bunch of old men just claiming petty titles." Oona barked, glaring at the group of messengers. "Perhaps you should follow dogs of the same generation, rather than those old fools."
A lot of the dogs growled when they heard Oona's retort, but slowly they began to disperse until they were all gone. Luka looked right at her but didn't say a word. "No one ever said that one of us two had to be the leader. I think Ego is a very good choice for leader," he said, nudging the dog who sat next to him.

Luka growled. "Well I don't want you as my leader," he said. He looked at Ego. "I think you could make a good leader," he repeated. He thought for a moment, and decided that he could live with Ego leading him, but he didn't know about Oona.

"Me?" Ego thought it over and shrugged. Being alittle self-absorbed he felt great about being volunteered but he didn't know if he was the type to lead. He thought over what the council told them then looked at Oona. "You and I both are too agressive to be leaders. I'm priviledge to be volunteered but I wont take anything from anyone and Im more on the outs then anything. Oona. Your too snappy and will rather bite first before you think." He tried to hint that they weren't the best leaders without putting himself down and became quiet again after he spoke. "What about Luka or Victoria?"
"Luka's brain is to small and Victoria is to immature." Oona simply stated, a snarl edging her voice. How dare Ego suggest anyone apart from her! She was the obvious choice! She could beat any human, she'd already killed them before (of course the others didn't know that).
Luka shook his head. "I don't think I can lead very well. I'm not sure. I don't know about Victoria though. I don't know her very well," he said. He wondered what made a good leader. Fearless, strong, confident, lots of things. Lots of things that he didn't think he was.

Oona could sense that Luka was listing qualities that Victora had in his head, she decided to list some as well. "Young, inexperienced, weak, shy, easily frightened, lots of things." She decided to list some of her own in her head. Brave, strong, experieneced, smart, ambitous, lots of things.
