Starpaw sat staring at the other cats in the clan. There was really nothing to do today, and as an apprentice all he really could do was clean the elders den or wait for his mentor's orders. Seeing as the tom was headed in another direction Starpaw layed himself on the ground and put his head on his paws, itching to do something helpful in the clan. His tail swept back and forth and his eyes now focused on the sky.
Twilight twitched her whiskers, feeling renewed after joining the clan. "I'm ready when you are," she twitched her tail, talking to Dawnfur's back. She narrowed her eyes, ready to do whatever it took to learn how to fit in. Her eyes gazed around the clan for a long moment. It was bustling with activity, like when she and her sister had the group of cats that stayed in her yard. With a pang, Twilight missed home, wishing her sister by her side.

Giving a polite nod to Goldenstar after sitting next to him stupidly for awhile, Moonsong got up and stretched before heading back to her den. She instantly padded up to her storage place to count the herbs. It was like, her hobby or whatever. She would never feel comfortable without knowing if she had all the herbs she needed, or if she needed more. Slowly, she made her way from start to finish. She nosed each berry, each leaf, each herb, and made sure they were all fresh and ready, and enough for a stock. As Moonsong would always say, you'd never know if some terrible natural disaster came by and killed every plant. As the medicine cat finished her job, she noticed that she needed a few more cobwebs, marigold, and burdock roots. She nodded, remembering the list in her head, and looked up to find Sunpelt at the entrance to her den. "Hey," she murmured. "Um, would you mind herb finding with me? I find it rather reassuring if there's a warrior nearby... you know." Moonsong's voice trailed off. It was pretty well known in the clan that she wasn't the best fighter. While warrior training, for defense if it was needed, she was often found stumbling in the ground, or not understanding anything the previous medicine cat was telling her. It was utterly terrible. And by the look on his face, something was troubling the orange warrior. "You can tell me on the way, if you'd like," she said.

Dawnfur heard Twilight call to him. He decided he'd better wait for her to get settled first, since it seemed like she hadn't even moved since she walked into the camp. He sat next to the fresh-kill pile, but didn't feel like eating. His tail flicked as he thought about mentoring this kittypet. It would be a totally new experience, but he felt that, of all cats, he could train her to be a warrior, and for a moment he was glad that Goldenstar had chosen him. He grinned at the thought and turned back to Twilight.

I am Jaggedpine. Just thought I should let you know.
Sunpelt just shrugged, "Your wish is my command. I will follow you." The tom rose to his paws and flicked his tail for her to go first. It was suprising to have her ask him to go. He was going to fumble around his words for a few moments before he was going to ask if she needed help and here she was asking him. What luck right? Sunpelt watched the aloof she cat pass in front of him before he fell in step behind her. The two left the camp and headed on through the forest in search of herbs. Looking for plants wasnt exactly Sunpelt's idea of fun but its not he was going to fuss about it. A slightly strange warrior he may be but a complainer he was not. "So um..." he started, "I didnt really come to your den to talk about anything really..." He wanted to make that clear. "I just... Didn't really have anything else to do," he chuckled for a moment as she bent down to sniff a few leaves. "Hope that doesnt make you think I came to waste your time." He fell silent for a moment. Great... He was being so talkative to this medicine cat and what good would that do him? She wasnt exactly the kind of cat that would get along with him easily... right? She was silent and thoughtful from what he could tell and most of the time he spent telling jokes to anyone that would listen. He wasnt pushy in that manner though... He didnt purposely corner someone in order to tell some ill placed joke. Still, she would probably get bored of him in a few moments and request that he escort her back to camp. Man this was a little more than awkward.
OOC: Hope this is alright ^^" Not sure if it fits Sunpelt's profile but I really enjoy playing him this way ;D
Moonsong listened to Sunpelt, not replying to his chit chat. Her eyes were searching the ground for herbs and it was almost like she wasn't listening. Except her ears were pricked and she looked at him every now and then. She gave him a little smile. "I really don't think you're wasting my time. Well, you're talking, I'm looking for herbs. You keep me company. Besides. I could use some help to look for them. Two is better than one." Moonsong quickly looked down. That came out extremely weird. It wasn't like what she'd normally say. "I need cobweb and marigold and burdock root," she quickly said. "You know what they look like... Right?"
Sunpelt gave Moonsong and unsure look as on ear flopped backward, "Uh... Cobwebs, sure I know what that looks like but... Marigold and burdock root... Not so much." He looked away for a moment, "I suppose thats why Im a warrior eh?" The fox colored tom shifted his weight side to side feeling a little more than uncomfortable. "I feel a little useless so in my case I suppose two isnt better than one." The warrior gave a chuckle to lighten his own mood a bit. "Though... I am a quick learner. Tell me what I should be looking for other than a name and I should be able to find it. The sooner we do find it the sooner we can get back to camp." And the sooner I wont have to look like a mouse-brained moron, he finished mentally. A frown passed over his lips as he once again turned to look away from the she cat.
Moonsong gave out a little chuckle. "Well, marigolds are bright yellow flowers. What we really need are their leaves. They're a dark green color. And burdock roots, they're long brown sticks, almost, except they're roots. Hey, look, they're there. Those long roots? Yeah. They heal rat bites the best." She gave a little nod and padded over to them and picked up a few. "You know, you could search for a lot of cobwebs. You know what they look like, and you could never have enough of em!"
Sunpelt nodded gratefully now that he had something to do. With a little bounce in his step he trotted off in search of cobwebs. His tick tail flicked back and forth as he went along. A large tree stump that looked like it had been there for ages just seemed to be the perfect spot. Sunpelt moved forward to investigate further. Inside the old stump was a small opening that looked like it could serve as a den to a family of mice. In the opening of the stump fluttered a few strands of cobwebs but that was it. Sunpelt furrowed his brow. This gathering thing was harder than it looked.
Moonsong looked up at Sunpelt. "You found any cobwebs yet?" she called out. "A simple tip, well..." She stopped in mid sentence. She didn't want to seem like she was a bratty-know-it-all, but she was a medicine cat. "Well, you can find it most in small, gathered, dirty places. You know, like the corner of two trees meeting or whatever." She blushed and turned around to look for some marigold flowers.
