It was once said that the wolves of flight could connect with another's mind. They called it telepathy. It was when you could communicate with someone through thought. When Akumu was born his tribes profitor had told him he had this ability. Still, he had never attempted it. His longing to find someone from his tribe drove him to try it. Everyone had a way of finding their tribe, why not try his? He closed his eyes and pictured his sister, he pictured him going into her brain, connecting with it, making it possible to speak to her. "Kiara?" He thought. "are you alive?" No answer. He waited and waited. No response. He opened his eyes. "maybe she is too far away?" he asked himself. He decided that maybe if he found someone else from his tribe, he could find his sister. But hoe could he connect with them if he didn't know who they were or how far away they were? He decided to try something strange with his power of telepathy. Maybe he could somehow send out a signal that would tell him where other animals were? Like radar. He closed his eyes and pictured the forest, or what was left of it. He planted his paws firmly on the ground and cobsenteated on it. Soon he found himself running through the forest in all directions. He could see everything! However, he had only found a few rabbits. The father he traveled, the more he believed there was no hope. But then, he picked something up. It was Taroc! He saw him In the sky. But, why was he so far away? He opened his eyes. Maybe if he couldn't connect with his sister, he could connect with Taroc. Again, he closed his eyes. He thought of Taroc. He pictured himself connecting with him, then a sort of tingly sensation came over him, suddenly he could see what Taroc saw. He was in the air. Soaring. Flying. Akumu grinned. He couldn't believe flying would be so much more amazing then he had imagined. Then, he snapped back into his plan. "Taroc, why are you so far away?" he thought to his friend.

Ooc: Taroc isn't actually in the forest, his senses are. He can cast his senses far away.

Ic: Taroc kept watching his brother soar over the land. It would take days for him to leave the prairie. Why had he come there? Suddenly, Taroc sensed another eagle. No, a falcon. A peregrin falcon, one from the aggressive tribes of the northern prairie! It was going straight for Rocar. Suddenly, they met in flight and began ripping each other apart with their talons. Rocar, never the biggest or strongest eagle, was easily overpowered. Taroc felt himself screech, and he tried to fly to his brother's aid, but he wasn't in the forest. Only his senses were. He longed to help his brother. The golden eagle was slowly allowing himself to be pulled to the ground. Taroc screeched again. Blood poured from his brother and stained the ground. They two birds fell to the prairie, and slowly, Taroc sensed the life leave his brother's body. Suddenly, a pack of wolves aprang out of the grass and began tearing at Rocar's dead body. The peregrin falcon flew away, seemingly unharmed.

OOC: well he was seeing what you were seeing so he was confused. :3 haha

Suddenly Akumu awoke in his den. It was all a dream. How? It felt so real. He peaked outside his den. There, was Taroc, near and safe. He sighed and slowly pulled himself out of the log. "I'm gonna go hunting for a while," He said. "To get my mind off things," Then, he began trotting off, thinking about what he had dreamed.

Taroc hardly heard Akumu, but he didn't listen. He was too scared of what he'd seen. His brother had been trying to fly over the prairies, a flight that would have taken him days to fly, but he'd been killed before he could even finish the first hour. Taroc wasn't sure if he was feeling fury or sorrow. Had his brother been coming for him? Now, even if he was, his tribe would never know the fate of dear Rocar. Taroc suddenly snapped back to his own body. His talons were gripping the hard, cracked earth very tightly. Every muscle in him was tense. His beak was open in a silent screech.

Ooc: lol! I wasn't even thinking about Buddy at the time but you just made me realized Lukaa is almost identical in personalities well except how Buddy was a jerk XD hahaha

Ic: Lukaa moved his giant paw over his head and wiped one of his eyes before opening them up to see he was still in his den. 'how long was I asleep?' the big bear thought to himself then stood up on his for paws and walked out into the open camp. "Hello Taroc. What's eating you today?" he yawned and stretched his back legs so his nose was only inches away from the eagle. Examining him closely Lukaa could tell something was up with the bird but he didn't know what. His large teeth showed as he just finished yawning and he quickly sat down with his front paws on his chest and back paws spread forward waiting for Taroc to speak .

Taroc looked up at Lukaa. "It's...it's just that...You know how I can cast my senses right?" He paused for a moment but didn't wait for Lukaa to answer. "Earlier I was searching the forest, looking for someone from my tribe, but I heard giant footsteps, and something was amiss. I could sense fear and despair in the air. Then, I sent them back again just now and saw my brother, Rocar. He was flying throught the forest and emerged in the northern prairie, where the aggressive tribes are. It seemed like he was coming our way, but..." Taroc took a deep breath, forcing himself to go on. "A peregrin falcon slaughtered him, and a pack of wolves ripped his body apart." It took Taroc a moment to realize he'd said everything. Tears stained his feathers. "I think he was trying to come back for me."

Lukaa was looking at his paws as Taroc talked. Taroc's ability was more unusual to him then the others and it was hard for Lukaa to understand how the eagle could "vision" things and by the way Taroc talked it sounded like he had a nightmare, but when the golden eagle said sOmething about his brother being slaughtered and eaten he looked up to see Taroc's face filled with pain and tears on his feather. "I...umm I'm so sorry.." Lukaa looked at the ground with sadness for Taroc. "You only saw Rocar?" he looked up again.

Taroc thought for a moment. When he first saw Rocar, he thought he'd seen another bird also, but it didn't make any difference. It was gone in the blink of an eye. Taroc shook his head. "None that I could see," he said.

Ooc: Short...
