IC: "Sure," she said. "Hopefully it'll take the edge off of your hunger." Daisuke bent down and took a bite from a rabbit. "You know, I've been thinking. Every land has a secret to it, and that secret is how to survive in it. Some are easy to find. This one, it's insanely hard, but possible. I think we should go checking out caves. Often there's freshwater springs and maybe truffles that we could eat if we had to," Daisuke suggested. **After I've gathered some more wood for my den** she thought.
"really, where did you learn this?" he was now festinated with her knowledge of this. There was a secret to surviving everywhere? Ge bent downs and bit into tue furry flesh of one of thae rabbits. Slowly he tire it away and began to chew. "how'd you catch these?" he asked with a full mouth. He swallowed. "I've been trying to hard but I always miss them." He frowned. "it makes me feel like I'm useless. Like I've lost my touch. Ya know?"
"Well, I learned it because that's what they teach all young mountain cats, in case they have to go through a major relocation. Apparently, it's come in handy. I thought it was just useless information, but now I see otherwise. Like that log over there. It wouldn't be here unless there was water where it grew and somehow ended up here. It's always the little things that show signs of life," Daisuke answered. She licked her paws a little bit, it was the only area of her that seemed to be affected by the dry dust. "Another little secret, this one to stay clean: always walk where it's firmer. A lot less dust'll get in your fur. Oh and, I kinda dug a bit underground to get these. Through rock, actually... I could certainly give chase though, if need be." Daisuke bent down to take another bite.
Lukaa looked around at everyone then gave a quick yawn and scratched his belly as he sat wondering what to do. He saw Daisuke and Akumu talking but he didt want to interrupt them so he looked around some more. "Hmmm... I think I'm gonna take a walk and see if I can find some berries to eat or anything edible." The big bear jumped up and landed on his paws with a huge thud making the pebbles around him bounce around until they finally settled. He gave a stretch, a sniff then headed out on his way to wherever he was going.
Though tempted to ask more questions, Akumu bid his friend a farewell and began to catch up with Taroc. He padded closer and closer until he'd finally reached his side. "Sorry taroc," he said " I always seem to destract myself." He glanced back at daisuke. "So when does this flying lesson start?"
Taroc looked Akumu over with his sharp eyes. He didn't fly much, but he knew that, if he tried, he could teach Akumu, and the young wolf could be the pack's eyes and ears. "It begins at sunset. I've always enjoyed flying at night." With a slight smiled, Taroc began to do his awkward little waddle to his perch on top of his den. He looked out over the wide wasteland. The ground was dry and cracked and dotted with the occasional dead weed. The temperatures during the days could become unbearable. Their tribed probably hadn't expected them to last long. He sighed. What if it was for the best if they hadn't survived? It would have saved everyone a lot of stress. But the question kapt nagging at his mind. Why had his brother been coming for him? How did he know he was still alive, and might be able to help with any problems in the forest? He just sighed and closed his eyes, shielding them from the burning sun.

IC: Daisuke went over to a nice warm rock and rolled over to sun herself. With a semi-full stomach, she felt at least a little content with life for now. Then she rolled over onto her paws again and went to find some dead wood for her den, which was nothing more than a few sticks propped up on a rock. Then she thought better of it and went over to the rock her sticks were propped up against. She smiled to herself when she slid out her claws and latched them onto the stone. Then she pried out pieces of stone until she'd hollowed out the stone into a suitable den. Sometimes it was nice to be a mutant extremely strong animal. Later she'd get as much dust and dirt out of there as she can to make it easier to stay clean.

OOC: Man I hate posting twice in a row, but I'd hate to see this RP go... IC: Daisuke yawned, then decided to go searching in caves to see if she could find any fresh water. She went racing out over the wastelands to the nearest cave. After searching for a couple minutes, she found a pool of clean(er) water, but after some searching Daisuke found out that it didn't have any sources that would keep it there. She lapped up some of it, saving some for the others. After a couple seconds, she found the end and went out. "If only we could find some sign that would tell us if other animals lived here... at least then we'd know if we can survive here longer," she said to herself. Then she saw something that looked like a path winding up a mountain and started following it. It led her a long ways up the mountain. "I know I'm a mountain lion, but if it gets any steeper I'll fall off," she thought.
