The lithe she-cat trotted over to the group that consisted of a few interesting and disperse cats. It seemed her group was indeed the favorite, with few LionClan cats, as she was indeed an intelligent cat. A feeling in the pit of her stomach, she had the urge to get out -now-, however no matter whzat she could or would do, she had arrived to her destination. Her eyes looked warily around at the cats in her group, observing their faults. Clan life for this Warrior had been slow nearly all her life. No real excitement and no real feeling to the trauma she had gone through besides lingering apathy, all she had been through, all of her choices...and this was what gave her a thrill? Porving herself as a worthy opponent and soldier? This was not what a clan was about but it intreged her.
Icepaw looked over to Gingerpaw, a small pitying frown on his lips. "Well, we will all need to prove ourselves, one way or another." He mewed, thinking of what it would be like to be in the newer positions Darkstar had created for them. "But I won't be a servant to any cat." Icepaw added, more determination flared up within his icey blue eyes. He was going to beat them, beat them all. And then he was going to win.
Cliffheart's fur stood on end when Whitewhisker approached. "If you as much as lay on of your stupid tainted hairs on her..." He didn't finish when a growl escaped his throat. He was glad to be put with Nightfang so he could stand by her side and help her. With him there, he swore to StarClan that she wouldn't get hurt. Cliffheart flicked his tail. "Just to let you know, you piece of fox dung, Nightfang here is ten times the warrior you'll ever be. She has heart, and real feelings. Beat that," he snarled.

A soft tickle under her throat brought her back to the present, Sharpfang's eyes held a look of deep lust for her. "Well, well, it's Petaldancer. Thunderstep isn't here to protect you now, is he? Huh?" A jeering, taunt playing on his lips as his mouth turned up in a grin that made Petaldancer's knees grow weak. She recoiled slightly, her young face becoming painted with disgust. Clearing her throat, she answered. "Leave me alone, Sharpfang. You don't own me." Her face was turned into a silent snarl, her pearly teeth showing. "One thing, baby-doll," he said. He leered over her as he said this, his height making her take a step back. "If I beat you in these trials, you are mine," He said this with such an issurence, it almost made the small she-cat cringe. Her eyes flashed between fear and horror, with a grin the tom trotted away, leaving her stunded.
Tossing a bored glance towards Whitewhisker as he watched Cliffheart defending Nightfang. Striding by, Bearfur gave a cold grin. "Why hello there, Whitewhisker. Not going to try anything, now are we? Not that Darkstar has promised me your life is in my grasp," he cooed coldly, eyes showing no sympathy for the white tom. Turning his gaze back towards his teammates, he frowned. "Have to go save Petaldancer now. Take care of her, Cliffheart. She's the only thing I've got left." At that, Bearfur stalked away towards Sharpfang. "Sharpfang," called Bearfur. As the tom stopped to glance at him, he continued. "I would appreciate you not bothering our teammate as of now. Well - scratch that. Don't bother her. Ever. Thank you." At that, Bearfur retracted, rather pleased with how everything was going so far. Tossing a glance Nightfang's way, he returned his attention to his group. "All right. Here's a simple strategy that's bound to work. Defeat your enemy." Bearfur laughed softly.
Upon hearing that annoying she-cat was in his group, Kestreleye suppressed a groan. Drowning out her soprano voice, he turned towards his teammates. One was a former LionClan warrior. But that wasn't important. "All of you will fight to win. Then, once it comes to, you will all stand in my way, as we will all stand in yours. I hope you understand. There are no hard feelings. I just don't intend to be a servant to a warrior weaker than I." Turning towards Beeflight, he added in a cold voice, "And I will cut down anyone who gets in my way." As the she-cat shivered at his tone, he returned to his expression of non-chalance. "Good luck, team."

okay, then. unfortunately loving an idiot who doesn't love me back. but i'm not falling. i just kind of... am. .
Shaking her pelt out, Petaldancer blinked, her vision slightly blurry from the tears. As she tried to wipe it away with her paws, though with not much success, Bearfur came and saved the day. Literally. Why was it always that she had to be saved? Why couldn't she stand on her own four paws? The she-cat shook away the tears and trotted over to stand with her group.
Cliffheart nodded sincerely to Bearfur when he told him to protect Nightfang. "I'll guard her with my life," he whispered softly. He never really had ever talked to Bearfur, lat alone anyone, but he was Cliffheart's clanmate, and that meant more than anything right now. Remember who you are and where you came from, he thought to himself. He shot a warning glance at Whitewhisker.

Darkstar watched with amusement at each cat's reaction to their teammates. He waited a few moments before calling out, "I will assign everyone's tasks now. Each group will have to succeed in different ways. No two groups will have the same tasks. Depending on how each group preforms, I will begin to decide who is in which new class of warrior." The dark leader jumped from his place on the Fallen Log an in to the middle of the crowd. "The leader of group one shall be Bearfur, the leader of group two Kestreleye(sorry I'm saddling you with leading two groups ^^"), the leader of group 3 shall be Rumblestripe, the leader of group four shall be Whitewhisker and the leader of group 5 shall be Icepaw. I will only teach these leader's the task that their group must preform." With that he stalked to the entrance and called out, "Bearfur! Front and center!" He watched as his favored cat strode easily toward him. In a low voice Darkstar murmured, "A patrol has spotted a badger on the edge of the territory, I'm not telling you where, that's part of the task. I want you to track it down and kill it. Not run it off the territory, I want proof of it's death. Bring me one of its claws." With that the leader motioned for him to move away. Then again Darkstar called out, "Kestreleye!" When the tom had approached Darkstar whispered to him, "Your task is to travel to the Shadowclan-side territory of Tigerclan and find the two-leg nest. There will be a dog in the yard. Kill it and bring me a tooth." With that he motioned for him to move away. Darkstar's voice lifted again and he called out, "Rumblestripe!" The large tom approached and Darkstar told him his task(unimportant task since none of us are in this group). After that he called out, "Whitewhisker!" As the twisted white cat approached Darkstar murmured, "You task is to make your way to the Windclan-side border and wait for a patrol of Lionclan's. Find an apprentice among them and capture it. Bring the apprentice here to me and make sure its breathing. As for the rest of the patrol, I don't care what you do to them." Whitewhisker's face pulled in to a wicked smile, "As you command." With that he turned and walked back to his group. Finally, Darkstar called out, "Icepaw!" When the apprentice had appeared before him he murmured, "I want you to go to the horse-place, where the two-legs live. One of our scouting party saw that the cats there have had a new litter of kits. I want your group to... "recruit" one of those kits and bring it here to me. You will be well rewarded if it is a strong kit." With that he nodded to the apprentice to move away. Not that each group had a task he called out, "Group leaders! Do not tell you teammates your task. They are to trust you in your judgement. Lead your patrol away from camp, then tell them your task. I do not care how you accomplish your task, just do so by sunrise tomorrow. If you do not, don't bother coming back."
Icepaw stood beside his group with a slightly horrified look on his face. Take a kit from its mother? Even though Icepaw was very loyal to his leader, this was the absolute choice to make a stronger clan? He shook his head, dismissing the though and turned his head to his group. "Team, move out!" He called to them, trying to have strength in his tone. Darkwhisker looked around, an uneasy feeling warmed over her. But soon it ebbed away. She knew something bad was going to happen, this was TigerClan of course. "StarClan help us." She whispered to herself.
Gingerpaw followed Icepaw along with the other apprentice's. What were they to do? What if it was terrible? She swallowed. She knew she had to prove herself, even if it questioned any morals she had. But this was just so difficult! Her paws pricked uneasily as she padded along with the others. She didn't want to be unloyal, but at the same time, her mind wandered back to what Fawntail had told her, what felt like so long ago. She was unclear whether all of that meant she should prove herself now, or turn and run. But she wasn't one to run away from something. She knew she had to face this head on. But she wanted desperately for everything to just be set right. She wished she knew the other cats plans, whether they were going to do anything to prove themselves or not. Because she had no idea what to do. But the others didn't know she knew. They didn't know she agreed with their plan. So with that, she had no clue how to act on this task. She'd have to decide soon, she only had until sunrise tomorrow.
