So yea, so much detail into the character story. Going to sum it up so I don't bore you... 


Set was a genetic experiment apart of this place called "The Institution", where the staff there experimented on humans, giving them names of the egyptian gods, and powers slightly relevant to that god. They had separated the building into two halves. One half is where they put the less dangerous subjects, and the other half is where they put their more powerful and deadly subjects. Subjects like Osiris, Hathor, and Isis were in the light wing, while subjects like Anubis, Set, and Apophis were in the dark wing. Set was the most deadly and worst tempered subject, and he managed to escape via Osiris opening his cell because he didn't know better. Set killed Osiris, as well as half of the other subjects. Set ultimately was captured and sent back into his cell, but with heavier protection. Meanwhile, the scientists were doing what they called "backup", which was a particular treatment that only the dangerous subjects go under. If a subject is unruly/a danger to those around them, a body is grown for them, and they are fused with that body. The body has ingrained in their mind a code phrase to make them essentially go brain dead, so right after the subject is fused and wakes up, they activate the code and then put them away for testing. Unfortunately, the body's growth had to be cut short, because somehow Set managed to escape, although his escape was deleted from any camera footage for a mysterious reason, and he went on another rampage at the subjects. The staff were able to lure him into the engineering and genetics room, and captured him. The body's growth was stopped at age twelve, instead of twenty. So when they had tried to fuse Set with the body (They dubbed the body 'Seth', in a commemoration to Set's other version of his name.) but the fusion wasn't fully completed. As soon as Seth woke up, he transformed into Set and killed most of the staff, and fled from the Institution, to wander aimlessly in the wilds, until Seth had become aware and forced Set to change back into him.
The way they transformation works, is that as long as Seth doesn't fall unconscious or asleep, he can't change into Set unless he is willing to.
