IC: Shortly after the sun had fully risen, the sounds of the forest returned. It was as if what ever spell that had been cast over woods had suddenly been lifted. Birds were chirping again, the far off cries of large predators had returned. Several of the soldiers scratched their heads in confusion.
"Never heard anything like this before," Rayne said.
"Think the thorons are responsible?" someone asked.
The squad leader stroked his beard thoughtfully.
"If they are responsible," he said, "then we may have a serious problem."
He glanced at the squad.
"Finish getting your things together. We're heading back home."
Ailexia ran into camp. Tripping over a rock she landed right in front of the squad leader. She looked up at his dissapointment. "Okay I know this seems bad," she started. "But, I got diamonds and a snake!" She smiled fakely. She bent her head down in shame preparing her head down ready for the punishment ready for her.

OOC: Meant to do this last night but I was busy doing HW. +D
IC: The squad leader glanced down at Ailexia and shook his head.
"Just get your things together. We're leaving."
"I'll take the snake if you don't want it!" Rayne said. "Snake tastes real good when you grill it."
IC: The great bat landed for moment in tall evergreen and listened. It could no longer hear the Brutega's heart beat. It thought for second it had flown too far out to hear it anymore but then it noticed the other noises.
The other creatures wouldn't be making this much noise if the Brutega was still around, the bat thought. It must've gone back to where ever it had come from.
With a few mighty flaps of its wings, the bat was airborne again. It slowed down briefly when it heard some unusual noises, but upon smelling thorons the bat picked up its pace and sharply turned left in order to try and avoid being spotted.
IC: Darulyx paused and quickly looked behind him, instinctively reaching for his sword. He caught a glimpse of a large winged beast just before it dissapeared behind the tops of the trees. What on Zarkain was that? He thought.
OOC: Hey guys; sorry for not posting for a while. With BZP back and updated I've been trying to get readjusted to it since yesterday, not to mention I've been preparing for the PSAT tomorrow and have been battling a bad case of writer's block on top of homework and other stuff.
IC:The night before...
"Very nicely done, my lord," Darus said as Prince Darulyx moved to join the rest of the group. He turned to several of his subordinates, gesturing to the bodies of the defeated Wyverons. "You! Clear the deceased!" The nodded and immediately set to work-
No doubt from fear of the wrath of the mighty Darus, the Thoron thought. He turned his head, catching sight of the exasperated-looking Dargun. He had to surpress a smirk at the Thoron's expression. He needs to lighten up...
Current time...
Darus followed after Darulyx, keeping a careful eye on their surroundings. As the prince caught sight of.... something... Darus stopped.
OOC: Woodfall, it's been over two weeks since your last post. Have you left us? ;_;
And don't worry Wyvern, I've been busy with HW stuff. We're all probably busy with something. +D
IC: I... don't know..." Darulyx said, keeping his hand on his sword. "But we should keep moving and keep our guard up."
Dargun nervously watched the tree tops which Darulyx kept glancing back at. It was unusual to see the prince like this. Dargun had never known him to be even the slightest bit fearful of something. Perhaps there was something more intimidating then Wyverons out there. Most of the region was unexplored by both humans and thorons. There could very well be something more deadly hiding within the forest.
Ooc: I got in trouble last five days. Ic: Aliexia tossed the snake to Rayne. She ran into her tent and grabbed her stuff. She jammed it all into her oxen-fur sack. Dragging it behind her she went to her favorite rock to carve things. She carved the diamonds into a perfect shape to go over arrow. She took her old limestone one off and squezzed the other one on. She tested it on a tree. "Wow!" she exclaimed seeing how far the arrow went in. "Impressive."

OOC: Trouble, hw... This has to be the slowest moving RP ever... YAY FOR SLOW PEOPLE! I'll have an actual IC post up within an hour or so. Definitely later on today. I think I should kick it up a notch seeing as if we keep moving like this, we'll all have beards and grey hair. +D
So everyone hold up a second while I play catchup with the internet. This is the first time I've gotten online since... thursday I think?
OOC: UPDATES to CHARACTER and CREATURE LIST. MAJOR UPDATE to IMPORTANT NOTICES.
Description to Brutegas, Gor' Zeel Major, Gor' Zeel Minor, and Wyveron Elites added. Description for Seiryuu added.
WARNING: Read IMPORTANT NOTICES UPDATE before posting. Check BRUTEGAS.
IC: Seiryuu glared at the messenger wyveron that kneeled before him. First a whole squad of wyverons was slayed almost completely by a sing thoron and now he hears the Gor' Zeels are moving.
"Is there anyone here who can provide me with even the smallest bit of good news?" he demanded.
The wyverons glanced at each other nervously. One yellow wyveron pushed its way through the crowd.
"Lord Galu' Keron has returned!" it hissed.
Seiryuu rasied his head as the giant bat shouldered its way past the wyverons.
"Please tell me something good," Seiryuu moaned.
"I sensed a brutega not far from here," Galu' Keron said. "BUt it seems to have... disappeared."
Seiryuu bowed his head.
"I don't know whether to consider that good or bad news," he grumbled.
The bat chuckled. "It all depends on what crosses the beast's path."
Seiryuu stared at Galu' Keron, curious as to what he meant. But the bat just smiled at the wyveron elite with its strange, toothy smile.
IC: Leutenant Brians stifled a yawn as he stared over the forest. The great walls of Inglade were almost as tall as the tallest trees in the great woods. The sky was lightening gradually as the sun rose behind him. As the sky grew lighter, Brians noticed a plume of smoke rising steadily above the trees and it wasn't that far away.
The leutenant turned to go warn the others, but as he did a terrible scream sounded from the direction of the smoke. Brians watched in shock as... something... came tearing through the trees toward the walled city.
What burst through the forest into the clearing that surounded the city was... nothing. The leutenant blinked in surprise as the trees fell over as if something large and powerful was pushing them over. Hovering about twenty feet above the ground was a ball of fire.
Brians watched as the ball of fire waved wildly through the air and then came hurtling towards the wall. Brians instinctively ran across the wall to escape the fire. As he did so, the great stone wall cracked and began to fall apart as the mysterious fireball collided with it.
It was almost as if an invisible giant had jsut run through the wall. The stone crumbled and the ground trembled. The terrible scream came again and what ever was on fire ran back teh way it came.
Brians stared at the forest, confused and terrified of whatever that thing was.
IC: The entire squad froze upon hearing the scream. Devon glanced worriedly at Rayne who had jumped a good foot in the air upon hearing the scream.
