Amberleaf frowned a bit at Sparrowtail's answer, "Oh you know... Of anything." She tilted her head to the side and turned to see what he was looking at. The beautiful butterfly that he had spotted grabbed Amberleaf's attention making her forget that she was even talking to Sparrowtail at all. The she-cat's wide amber eyes traced the figure of the wings before she looked away. Once again she had that look of not know quite where she was at. Turning away, Amberleaf sighed softly, "I'm sorry, kinda got lost there for a second." She laughed slightly, her lopsided smile not quite pulling up like it usually did. Amberlead knew that no one really took her as seriously as they did any other warrior. She supposed that was a good idea, considering her lack of attention and her foolish nature. It wasn't exactly something she was proud of but at least it was a little special. Plus she didn't really have to worry about all those "grownup" things either. With a childish soul, no one saddled you with burdens. She could remain an apprentice at heart until something terrible shakes her world, shattering it in to reality.
Her words stunned Sparrowtail back towards reality, "Huh, what?" He asked stupidly, as he turned towards Amberleaf, who had the same blank expression. "It's alright, were two peas in a pod, right?" He laughed and turned at the rustle that came from behind the pair, a familar auburn-ivory pelt sturred from inside the cozy elders den. "If you'll excuse me, I will go help my grandmother." Trotting over to the fresh kill pile, his teeth grasped a plump, juicy rabbit. With a nod of appreciation, he padded across the "courtyard" and ducked his head to enter the den. "Well, what do you know?" Came the scarcastic meow, "My grandson has suprised me with his presence, once again." Petaldancer turned her aging head towards the young tom and gave him a grin, her turquoise eyes flashing with mirt. "I'm just messing with you, Sparrowpelt." Sparrowpelt purred as he pressed his nose to hers, "You have the right to, Grammie." He set down the rabbit and began to fix her nest.
Gorsefoot thought for a moment at Blackstep's question. "I don't mind, maybe we can ask some others." He scanned the camp. Amberleaf was lazily hanging around the camp, not looking like she had anything to do. He grinned for a moment. "Yeah, I'll be right back. You can invite someone too, if you want. Just a second." The gray tom padded slowly over to Amberleaf. He personally thought the she-cat was pretty and a bit regal even. He approached slowly. "Hey, Blackstep and I are going hunting. You don't seem to be real busy, do you want to come?" he offered politely.

Amberleaf somewhat jumped at Gorsefoot's question. Her amber eyes stared at him absently for a moment before she grinned that lopsided grin. "Well, I'm not the best hunter in the clan, but I'll do what I can," she mewed. Gorsefoot was a rather reserved tom, well, he didn't really talk to Amberleaf all that much. Then again, not many cats did. They seemed to like her only when they had a great deal of patience or wanted something to amuse themselves. Amberleaf never really noticed though, she contented herself on her own musing, whatever fantasies those might be. Now that she was asked to perform a duty she would gather all the focus she could muster. She nodded softly to the tom, appreciating his easy nature. "Let's get a move on," she laughed good heartedly.
Ooc: I said that I ate it? Must of made a mistake typing. And does anyone want an apprentice
Ic: Foxpaw bent down her head. She was still hunting. She thought she had a trace of rabbit. She followed the trail untill she spotted the rabbit. Knowing that if she waited to long the rabbit would sense her and run away she pounced. She had just caught it. She dragged her fresh kill which was almost the size of her to the pile. She wondered what she would do now. She bounded up to Amberleaf. "Hello," she said. "Wonderful day for hunting isn't it?" she tilted her head waiting for her reply.

Blackstep slowly examined the cats in the camp. Maybe Foxpaw, or Sparrowtail... Blackstep was always never really good at deciding most things. Then he came across Fisherclaw. "Hey Fisherclaw!" Blackstep quickened his pace to catch up with the warrior. "I and Gorsefoot are getting some cats to go out hunting. Care to join?" Blackstep smiled, his whiskers slighty trembling from a breeze that had passed.
Gorsefoot smiled and waved his tail. He noticed Blackstep talking to Fisherclaw. "I think Blackstep isn't ready quite yet, so we probably have a little time." He padded back to the camp entrance, tail flicking as an indicator that invited Amberleaf to follow him. She was a pretty cat, Gorsefoot had always thought so, but he could never work up the nerve to talk to her. It seemed to him that she was higher up on the totem pole than him, but he didn't mind. He was happy that he'd invited her. Now maybe he could get to know her a little better.

ooc; hi guys. i'm a resident of the northeast and we recently got hit with an extremely bad snowstorm leaving us without power. so excude my lack of activity. i will try to stay updated on my phone as much as possible, but it's hard.
ic; Fisherclaw smiled at Blackstep uncertainly. She always looked forwards to her solo morning hunts, but decided that she would go along anyways. Nodding, she replied, "Of course." Flicking her tail in greeting to Nightfang and Bearfur who had slowly crept from their den, she noticed Swallowtail. Thinking for a second, Fisherclaw meowed, "Excuse me for a moment." Snaking off towards petaldancer and Swallowtail, she smiled. "Good morning, Petaldancer. Please excuse my interruption but, Swallowtail, a few other warriors and I are going out for a group hunt. Would you like to join us? If so, once you're finished visiting your grandmother, feel free to follow after Blackstep and I. The more the merrier, yeah?" Fisherclaw's manner of talking largely resembled her grandfather, despite the similarities she held with her grandmother. Flashing a small smile, she stalked back over to Blackstep. "I invited Swallowtail. I hope you don't mind. It wouldn't seem right to just leave him behind, yeah?" Her voice, as always, was cool and almost detached - sometimes bordering a whimsical quality. It was not on purpose, but she wasn't much for conversation - though when nervous, she tended to prate until her cousin finally decided it best to silence her.

Casting a lasting gaze at Fisherclaw's retreating figure, Swallowtail gave his grandmother a look of affection, "I'm sorry, Grandmother, but I believe that it is best that I go hunting with the others." Pausing for a second, the young tom gave his grandmother a lick on the cheak and murmered, "You take care of yourself, alright? Don't get into trouble." Petaldancer gave him a stern look and meowed, "I should say the same to you, youngin." Her eyes held a look of amusment as she trotted off towards the other elders. A raspy chuckle escaped Sparrowtail as he bounded towards the growing group of cats.
