Gorsefoot had been watching the moor again wistfully. Without turning around, he chimed in, "I'll join you, Amberleaf, if you'll have me." He tried to sound as nonchalant as possible, but he really wanted to get to know the pretty she-cat better and for her to get to know him, too. He turned back to the rest of the group, trying hard to keep the excited light from his eyes. His tail waved as he padded closer to the rest of the group. He immediately thought back to his grandfather, and how he had always imagined the regal cat standing at the head of a group of cats who were to become WindClan. Gorsefoot couldn't help but wonder if he'd ever get to do anything as great as Cliffstar.

Amberleaf grinned, as broadly as she could on one side, at her companions, "Very well! Let's get this started!" She turned her face toward her cousin, a little overly happy about being able to hunt with her. Normally Amberleaf wasn't so good at anything but when she and Fisherclaw hunted together it was reminiscent of Bearfur and Nightfang. The two had seemed to dance when catching their prey and when they fought, their two granddaughters were the same. Amberleaf flicked her tail toward Gorsefoot to lead the way, not trusting herself to find a good spot to hunt. Instead she fell in to step with Fisherclaw, bumping the she-cat's hip with her own. Her wide innocent amber eyes light up brightly, "This is going to be fun, no?"
Gorsefoot pushed back the worry he felt when Amberleaf invited him to lead. He wasn't going to decline or act scared in from of her. The truth is, he was just a lousy leader and was always worried he was going to get something wrong. But, if Amberleaf wanted him to lead, then he would. With a purposeful nod, the gray tom started off into the moors. He knew of a heather hedge that was a hotspot for rabbits. Sure, he might have been a not-so-good leader, but he was a great hunter with very accurate instincts on where the prey was running. It was a trait he'd developed from his mother, who'd developed it from his grandmother, Clifstar's mate. While he was leader, a young loner she-cat came into WindClan. She was a tortoiseshell calico named Frost, but adopted the warrior name of Frostcloud. She was an excellent hunter after spending most of her life fending for herself and hunting all the time. Cliffstar had fallen in love with her, and she'd fallen in love with him. Gorsefoot also wondered if he'd ever find true love like his grandfather, and who it would be. He secretly wished his love would be Amberleaf, of course.

"Of course," Fisherclaw replied quietly. Since kithood, Fisherclaw had been close with Amberleaf. Amberleaf was so innocent - too much, almost, though she couldn't complain, seeing as her grandfather acted the same - that Fisherclaw felt protective of her. At the same time, she knew she had to let Amberleaf learn. And as such, she always was there but never really spoke up unless someone asked her. Fisherclaw didn't mind being quiet though. She knew she followed her grandmother in the sense that she was reserved around those she was not close to. In the same sense, she hoped to follow Nightfang in the sense of being a courageous being, though there was really no hope for Fisherclaw in her own mind. Fisherclaw felt herself a very timid warrior when in reality, she was just thoughtful. "I'm excited to get to hunt together again," offered Fisherclaw coolly. Amberleaf was used to - or deaf to - Fisherclaw's detached, whimsical nature.

okay, then. unfortunately loving an idiot who doesn't love me back. but i'm not falling. i just kind of... am. .
Today seemed like every other greenleaf morning as of late. Warm. Humid. Wet. It had rained quite often during the season, and the damp air was making it hard for Sparrowtail to concentrate. The toms fur felt as if it had been washed in an oily substance and the ground between his paws was damp. His ears only listened half-heartedly to the others conversation, as he was imearesed in his own thoughts. Picking up one paw, he inspected the brown mud caked over the pad. Uck. He stuck out his tounge at the thought and put it back down, with a thud, sending mud splatters all over his fur. A searing heat fell upon his cheeks as he silently licked away the mud clumps. I'm such a mousebrain. Geesh. Turnig his head, Sparrowtail flitted off throught the clump of brush grass, without a sound. The tom headed towards a small patch of area, surrounded by heather, that consealed rabbit werns. The almost euphoric scent played across the breeze as it drifted towards him, taunting him. A sudden movement caused Sparrowtail to drop down on his haunches, his hunting skills put into motion. His paws tredded against the ground, effortlessly as he stalked through the golden grass, the sound being wisked away by a breeze. And suddenly, a younger rabbit ran straight into the toms paws, almost as if it was fate. Sparrowtail gave a grin as his teeth met his "prey's" neck, watching as it heaved it's last breath. Clawing at the ground, he made a hole and dropped his prize into it. "Yes," Was the one word Sparrowtail uttered as he cover the rabbit. "Now onto another."
Blackstep spotted a scrawny rabbit making its way across the grassy terrain, trying to go unnoticed. Blackstep carefully padded over, trying to make the least noise as possible. But when he leaped, the rabbit spotted him and bolted. Blackstep yowled in frustration and chased after it, his leg muscles pumping with every push against the ground, his paws meeting the grass and then flinging him one step forward. Soon enough, he managed to barely catch the rabbit in time before it made its way back to its hole. Blackstep nipped its neck, then released a loud sigh.
Ic: Foxpaw stumbled back to camp. Finchtail was there to great her. "Where have you been?" she asked angrily. "Just hunting. Nothing much" Foxpaw replied. "You know that apprentices aren't supposed to be outside the camp without there menoters! Especially new apprentices." She snarled. "Sorry." muttered Foxpaw. "But I caught enough to feed the fat old ShadowClan!" Finchtail growled at her. "They may be ShadowClan but you have to respect all clans." she bent her head lower. "They would kill you if they found you in there territory or at least use you hostage." she whispered. "You have to be careful about what you say about ShadowClan because what we say about them isn't true. There not lazy fat old warriors, like I used to tell you. There furosious monsters. Be careful what you say." Foxpaw eyes blinked in fear then confusion. "Their Monsters, like the ones that go on thunderpath in disquise of a cat?" Finchtail chuckled. "No," she laughed. "There just as dangerous though." Foxpaw now was really scared. "But don't worry." Finchtail assured her. You have the borders of all clans to protect you. The lakes in there way as well!" Foxpaw sighed with relief. Then it struck her that she could get out of her punishment for going out of camp with this talk. She was about to slip away when Finchtail growled. "Make sure you clean the elders den. They wouldn't have gone out alone you know." Foxpaw sighed and turned around and headed for the elders den.
Ooc: I couln't stop typing guys! Sorry!

IC: Amberleaf had taken Fisherclaw's words at face value, not taking the way she said them in to account. She grinned broadly on one side of her face, "So am I! It's to bad that Palestar doesn't send us on more patrols together. You think he would since we're such good hunters together!" She turned her face forward again, blissfully unaware of the dangers brewing within Shadowclan. Little did she know that things were going to change for everyone around the lake, Windclan cats being no exception. The group moved along the path that Gorsefoot was making. Amberleaf was just as unaware of his yearning feelings as she was about the trouble Shadowclan was planning. She had not really given in to the thoughts of love and a future with kits. She was still just worried about what kind of shapes she would see in the clouds that day. The maturity that would be required of her in the future was not within her grasp yet. Perhaps one day, but not this day. Everyone would have to content themselves with her empty mindedness and goodnatured manner. After a while of travel, Amberleaf and the group found the spot that Gorsefoot was looking for. Generally this area was heavily populated by rabbits, and today was no exception. Ahead of them rabbits nibbled, raced and played without a care in the world. This part of the moor was just as open as any part, but the rolling hills allowed the rabbits an advantage. They would sit on the highest part and watch the horizon for their potential hunters. Amberleaf and the gang had taken this in the account though and taken a higher route. The rabbits never looked to the higher hill. Since they were Windclan cats they had never been taught the hunter's crouch, it wasn't necessary out here. The only clan that used it at all was Thunderclan, it was their signature hunting move. The trees and dense forest allowed them the advantage while using that technique. Yet here on the moors it was all about strategy. Two cats could herd the rabbit toward the third cat, ensnaring the unsuspecting creature in a trap. Amberleaf wasn't particularly fast but she could keep up. She turned her face toward her companions, her face have turned up in a grin. She nodded before slipping away in to the tall grasses, certain that Fisherclaw would be moving around the opposite way. The two would circle around back of the rabbit before herding it toward Gorsefoot. The clan would eat well tonight.
OOC: we will kickstart a plot here soon enough folks ;D Just hang in there.
Ooc: Haha. I shouldve checked that. Oh one more thing, what happened to Sablepaw?
Ic: "So Nightfang made it just in time or in plenty of time?" Finchtail sighed. "Why are you so interested in this?" Foxpaw ignored this and replied with another question. "And what about them dropping from the sky? The way the elders told about it when I was a kit, they said it was funny how Hornetstar was taunting them like that. Is it true he was just asking why?" Finchtail replied "Yes it is true. Now can you please go back to the apprentice den. You can eat if you want. Share a rabbit with someone." Foxpaw frowned. "Fine." she said and stalked off.
