Watching Amberleaf stalk off one way, Fisherclaw descended the other, sure to follow Amberleaf's moves precisely. Looking up, she caught Amberleaf's gaze and nodded. In an instant she broke into a run, ears flattened to her head. Amberleaf, she was sure, had done the same, and was also working the rabbit towards Gorsefoot. However, when hunting, Fisherclaw became immune to the world. All she cared about was the burning in her muscles and the wind in her fur. It was like an other-worldly experience to her. For the only time she got, she felt as if she was alone, independent and strong. But a voice in the back of her mind reminded her that it lasted only moments. But her heart told her that, if she wanted, she could keep running until her feet bled and she was short of breath and nobody knew her except herself. "Poetic, Fisherclaw," she grumbled to herself, her trance broken. All at once, the grace from her limbs left her, and her concentration went to her paws - one, two, three, four, repeat. She was clumsy and thoughts clouded her mind as her ears went straight up again. Her breaths became shorter and her head dipped down in frustration.

IC: Amberleaf raced in tandem with Fisherclaw. The brown tabby grinned happily though she didn't notice that Fisherclaw was lagging behind. She continued to chase the rabbit as it veered away, not in the direction of Gorsefoot. This was the area that Fisherclaw was supposed to be taking care of, though she was a little to far behind to herd their prey. Amberleaf's heart raced more than it already was from the chase. She shouted back, "Come on Fisherclaw! You can do it!" Amberleaf pulled away from her area of the chase, hoping that Fisherclaw could hurry and get the rabbit back on track. She hoped that Gorsefoot could hear their progress and was ready to move when he needed to.
ooc; litterally want to die... typed up my response and then the tab closed for whatever reason it may be. i have no drive to write this again, but i will to the best of my abilities.
ic; Seeing Amberleaf veer off-course brought Fisherclaw back to her senses, she quickly willing herself to go faster, her body reacting to the prompt in her mind. Because, and as much as she hated it, this was what Fisherclaw was for. To be there for support. To be there if needed or called upon. To always be there. And though it was not a reason for her to keep running, it was at the same time, and she dipped her head low, legs burning and eye-sight blurring from concentration. Her mind was alert as always, but she could feel her body stiffening from not enough stretching. Still, she steered the rabbit towards Gorsefoot, praying that he saw her and the rabbit coming towards her. Though somewhere, in the recesses in her heart, she prayed that he didn't, and she just kept running. But she never acknowledged that prayer.

OOC: Gonna pretend that Gorsefoot catches the rabbit, we can't keep chasing it forever XD
IC: Amberleaf sighed with relief, well she sighed as best she could while huffing and puffing. Fisherclaw seemed to come out of whatever ill feeling she had been in a shot off like a bullet. Amberleaf felt inspired and began to react to Fisherclaw's movements. The rabbit began to dart in Amberleaf direction but the she-cat blocked it. The frightened critter darted forward, making a straight line at Gorsefoot's hiding spot. Just a few more fox length and the gray tom rushed from the tall grasses. The rabbit skittered and flailed as it tried to reverse direction but Gorsefoot had already pounced on the creature. He bit the neck, quickly ending its life. Amberleaf let out a yowl of success. She turned her admiring eyes to her companions. Though she was trying to catch her breath she managed to say, "Well done! I'd say... we all worked... wonderfully together!" She flicked her tail side to side, while her chest heaved. She chuckled a bit and turned toward Fisherclaw, "Gosh Fisherclaw! I've never seen you move so fast! That was amazing! If that had been me, we would have lost the rabbit for sure!"
Sparrowtail's eyes narrowed as he peered through the tall golden grass at the earthy place a rabbit would call a home. A musky scent drifted into his nose as he whipped his around and relized he was close to a small rabbit. Sparrowtail bent down into a low crouch as his paws tredded the ground almost silently but the rabbit suddenly flicked it's soft ears in a sort of salute and fled. Mouse-dung. He thought, as the tom took off across the dirt strewn ground after it. The scenery began to change slowly, the ever wandering heather became small evergreen trees, and then he relized that he was closing in on the Thunderclan border. He halted, paws digging into the green grass, breath coming in sharp gasps. Sparrowtail did not want to get in trouble with the other Clans, and anyway it was just a young rabbit. It would probably come back later, but whether or not he would hunt it was another thing. The tom waved his tail in a farewell and trotted back towards his previous catch. The momentum of the journey- foolish or just plain exertment- teased him into more of frenzy as he dug up the catch and proceded towards his hunting party.

Gorsefoot stood, panting, over the body of the rabbit. He nodded to Amberleaf when she praised them. It had been rather fun hunting with Amberleaf and Fisherclaw. He liked the way they moved together and almost knew what the other was thinking. He secretly wished he was that close with someone. Sure, he had a brother, Sliverstripe, but he'd turned rogue and left the clan. He and Gorsefoot had never been that close of friends anyway. Sliverstripe was a bit aggressive and was always causing trouble. For the most part, Gorsefoot tried to stay out of his brother's way so he wouldn't get dragged into any of Sliverstripe's schemes.

I am Jaggedpine. Just thought I should let you know.
At the compliment Fisherclaw worked hard to muffle her surprise. Her mouth twisted before forming a straight line. Bowing her head in thanks, she offered a small, tight smile. "Thank you. And you were both fantastic. I couldn't compare." And there she went again. She hated herself for it. Compliments were never given to her, so she threw them to the wind, even though a small part of her wanted her to keep them on her mind to remind her that she's special and not just some warrior who will die achieving nothing. As soon as the hunt had ended, Fisherclaw felt an uneasy heaviness in her legs from pushing herself too hard and in her mind, she hissed at the pain from every step. But on the outside, she remained quiet and reserved as ever, merely an observer. Gorsefoot was obviously deep and thought and, after a furtive glance at her cousin, she decided that decoding what was on her mind was too difficult at the moment. She was glad for the one thing on her side at the moment, however. Stamina. That was the only thing that led her to being a warrior, rather than a medicine cat. Her speed and her ability to keep going. Her breath came back to her easily, and escaped her lips in small puffs. Sure, she was winded. She was no super-being, but she was not as winded as the other two, who's ragged breaths broke the even silence in the air. So she stood, waiting for someone else to command them. Because, surely, Fisherclaw was not one to be in charge.
ooc; i'm sorry if fisherclaw's inability or lack there of to lead irritates everyone. it's just not in her blood..

Ooc: Cause I was supposed to clean the elders den in my last post, I did it in a more "ThunderClan" manor. I really don't know how WindClan cleans the elers den for the books are about ThunderClan cats.
Foxpaw scraped the moss of the tree in the little area where she catches squirrels. She spotted a squirrel and caught it. "Nice." Finchtail approved. "Thats enough moss, I'll cary the squirrel now you go clean the elders den. Foxpaw bounded back and threw the old moss behind the elders den. She took a small piece of the discarded moss and put it in the nursery. The kits rolled around squealing with delight and played with the moss. Foxpaw smiled and went back to work. She took the new moss and layed it around the elders den. After carefully moving it and even layering it, so the elders would be comfy she was done. "Good job." Finchtail told her. "Now go get them some food." Foxpaw ran back and got a rabbit for the elders to share. "May I go rest in the apprentice den?" she asked. "Yes." Finchtail replied. "Go ahead.
