Hearing a stomping outside of the rooms, Valerie sat up right, body tense. Calming when the noise softened as distance was placed between them, Valerie looked over to Ghost Town. Smoothly slipping her hand from his, she slipped off of the bed on steady feet and searched for her boots. Finding them, she slipped them on and draped Ghost Town's coat over her arm. Stalking over to him, she placed a hand on his shoulder and shook him. "Get up you lump of lard," she hissed, never a good riser. Shaking him harshly a few more times to make sure he was awake, she placed his coat carefully on his shoulder - the tenderness of the action quite the opposite of her previous actions - and stalked to the door, opening it.

William shifted in his sleep for a moment and she had spoken, but the moment she hissed at him the man awoke. His eyes were groggy and his mood wasn't exactly thrilled. His wiped his eyes with the heel of his hand before glancing at the coat she had placed on his shoulder. He lifted a brow at it and glanced at where Dex was leaving the room. Standing, William yawned and slipped the coat over his arms and on to his body. For a moment he caught Dex's scent, his mouth twitching up in to an involuntary smile. However, after a moment it disappeared and he followed Dex out of the room. He motioned for her to follow him to the waiting room. If they were lucky Emili would still be there. As he left the recovery wing he spotted Emili looking lost, confused and in deep thought. William tossed a sideways glance at Dex, unsure of what was the matter with the AI and whether or not he should ask.
Proceeding to punch Ghost Town in the arm and snapped, "I can lead the way too, fool," while rubbing her eyes, Valerie looked to Emili, worry suddenly in her eyes. Shuffling up to Emili, she placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Are you okay?" Looking over her shoulder, she looked to Ghost Town with confusion in her eyes. Looking back to Emili, she straightened up. And shuffled backwards to standing beside Ghost Town. "Emili, we should get going. Ghost Town can stay here and wait for Shep. Jackson is on his way to lead me back."

The AI's face was still confused as she looked up in to Dex's eyes. When the woman moved away Emili stood to follow. She passed by Ghost Town who stood there giving Dex a smirk. She gave him a curious look but said nothing. Instead she followed Dex out of the hospital. She had said nothing but instead murmured to herself. Her mind raced with what Gloria said. Was there a program inside her that would make her betray her friends? She frowned heavily and looked at Dex, "I don't know if I am okay Agent Dex. Gloria said I shouldn't be with you three. She thinks I will betray you."
Waving to Jackson, Valerie raised an eyebrow. "Emili, everyone has been betrayed before. Everyone has been hurt. Everyone will be hurt. It's unavoidable. If you betray us, then that's what was meant to happen and that's what will happen. There's no stopping fate." Placing a hand on the AI's, Valerie offered a soft smile. "I will always, always believe you." Retracting her hand, Valerie greeted Jackson. "The surgery went successfully. I'm back to normal, scar-face." Frowning, he grunted something that sounded like, "Great." "Yes! I'm feeling chip-dandy! Now let's get going!"

Daniel stared at the ceiling of the recovery room. He hadn't slept since he got in there, for fear that terrible dream would appear once again like it had always done. Daniel sat up with a groan. His chest still hurt, but it was an extremely mild pain. He brushed his curly, fluffy hair back, but his bangs fell forward lazily. Again Daniel let out a groan, but elongated it out of frustration. He stood up off the bed and nearly smacked into the door as he opened it. Daniel stepped forward and looked at Ghost Town with tired green eyes. "What are you waiting for?" He asked in a half unimpresssed half not-really-caring tone.
Jackson paused for a moment, turning towards Valerie. Something in her gaze was thoughtful - a view that she preferred to keep hidden from him. Raising an inquisitive eyebrow, he asked, "You okay there, darlin'?" At her suddenly fierce, challenging gaze, he nodded. "I'll take that as a yes. How did surgery go?" Staring pointedly at him, she said nothing and continued walking silently. "Fine! Give me attitude. I'm sorry for caring." Suddenly, she turned towards him with a bright gaze, her eyes a lighter shade of green - what they would be like if she chose to cry. "Don't care. Don't worry - okay? Nobody needs to care," she spat, scowling. "Nobody. Not even him." With that she pursed her lips and continued walking in silence. "Oh," was all he could reply. "Oh."

William turned a rather unhappy frown toward the younger man, "What am I waiting for? A useless red head that seems to think being late is a good thing." He turned from Shepard and motioned with his hand, "Come on then. The girls are waiting for us.. Heck, they probably aren't even doing that. Knowing Dex, they've already sped off and are probably back in Shadow District." With that William led the way out of the hospital and toward the entrance to Dagon District. They reached the grand halls and navigated their way back to Shadow. The man and his lieutenant headed for the apartment complexes rather than where Dex and Emili had gone.
Emili stared in surprise at Dex's outburst. She had no knowledge of what the two of them were talking about. Who was he? She frowned slightly and sent a curious look at Jackson. She and the man had never been introduced properly and therefore the AI felt it prudent not to speak. Instead she continued to follow Dex, confusion on her human features. "As long as my circuits function, I shall never understand you humans," she said matter-of-factly.
