William stood outside the door after it closed. He stared at it for a moment, his hand reaching up and touching his fingers gently to the heavy wood. His eyes saddened as he whispered, "I wouldn't have you change your temper for the world." His fingers brushed the door ever so slightly before he turned and headed toward his own apartment. His hand was still warm from where she had held it so gently. A grin spread on his face as he climbed the stairs to his apartment. "Perhaps someday," he whispered and entered his home. It was cold and dark within. He took a moment to head to the back room and grab his blankets. Changing in to some warm night clothes he laid out on his bed. Sure it was still relatively early in the evening, but for those who had to wake up around 3 in the morning, they needed to go to bed that early. William turned on to his side and studied his hand. He let his vision grow blurry until he faded in to sleep.
ooc; haha it's almost three in the morning where i live... C: it's just a little late... err, early. and yay! character development! i feel like i made valerie a mary-sue, but she's valerie and everyone reacts to calamaties differently.. though she seems a bit moody. i tried to even her out...

OOC: I've actually taken a mary-sue litmus test that I found through someone on deviant art and I used Ghost Town. Apparently I need to pull my character in to full reverse if I have any hope of saving him from a fate of mary-sueness XD Of course this is in that person's opinions. I don't think Ghost Town or Dex are to much of Mary-sues... Not yet anyway XD

William was in a restless sleep throughout the night. His vision filled with all the possible things that could go wrong on his mission... even though he wasn't quite sure what his mission was. A smart rapping on the door startled the man awake, almost making him roll off his bed. Yawning he looked out of his window, of course... no sun. Frowning he stood from his bed and donned his coat. He opened his door to see a young man staying there, looking rather flushed from having run a good distance. William lifted a brow, "Yes?" The young boy huffed a bit as he said, "Lady Gloria asked me to come straight away. She said it was time to start your mission." William nodded at the boy, "Thank you." With that the boy turned and headed across the way to wake up William's teammates. The tall man turned and closed the door. He went straight to his bathroom and washed his face, neck and hands with rather cold water. Sending chills through his body woke the man instantly, throwing any drowsiness he had away. Shivering he went to his room and grabbed his Patriot equipment and armor. He wouldn't need the heavy coats of the Outcast people on this mission. Once he was in his uniform, he left his apartment. The tight bulletproof vest fit snuggly over his long sleeved jacket. The man tucked his precious dog tags beneath his jacket so that it fit against his inner shirt. With a sigh William stood about a good three yards from the front of the apartment building. Shadow District was quiet this early in the morning. The lights were down so that a dark shroud wrapped around the large cavern. William shifted uncomfortably in the oppressive darkness. Hopefully he would be off soon.
Hearing a knocking at her door, Valerie opened it quickly, already in a familiar pair of cargo pants and t-shirt. Shrugging on her jacket, she smiled to the young boy. "I heard. Don't worry. Be on your way, kid. Thanks." Ruffling the boy's hair, she smiled and closed the door to go put on her socks and boots. Shuffling into her bathroom, she frowned at the length of her hair before tying it into a ponytail. Braiding the ponytail, she tied it at the end with a second elastic and made sure her hair looked smooth and refined and wouldn't get in her vision.Pulling on her fingerless gloves, she trudged out of the apartment and then out of the entire complex. Stretching her arms above her head, she stood easily by the door frame. The cargo pants she wore felt loose and uncomfortable in her opinion, though she had been wearing leggings for the past few days. With her vest still open, she shifted her shirt to check on her shoulder that was still healing. Poking it a few times with a childish curiosity in her eyes, she then decided to stare at the ceiling, body buzzing with adrenaline.

Daniel sat on his bed, shotgun in hand. He was looking down at it, when he heard a knock on the door. It took him a moment to answer. "I know, I know." He sighed, standing up from the bed. He was only patially in his Patriot gear, and was heading over to the closet to put the full uniform on. As he finished, he ran his fingers through his curly red hair, and headed out the door of the apartment. Daniel caughtt a glimpse of Ghost Town standing out in the darkness. Daniel picked up his pace and then slowed to a halt beside Ghost Town. "Morning." He said, giving a quick glance to Ghost Town, then looked forward.
William nodded curtly at Shepard as the man approached, "Morning." He glanced at the apartment complex and saw the boy approach Emili's room. A smile twisted his mouth up, the boy would have a hard time waking the AI up. Since she was off for the night she would stay off until her programming woke her. Yet as soon as the boy knocked on the door, it opened. William lifted a brow to see Emili walk past the boy and as usual she was garbed in the standard Patriot uniform. The boy looked confused as he AI continued on without. After a moment he scrambled after her. She turned to him and said something that William didn't hear. The boy stopped before his mouth set in to a hard frown. With that he turned and walked away from them, his shoulders hunched. As Emili approached William lifted his brow, "Might I ask what that was about?" Emili glanced up at him, as always her blue eyes were nearly impossible to read, "I told him that his presence was unnecessary." William's mouth twitched, "Don't you think that was a little harsh?" Emili tilted her head and asked sincerely, "Was it?" William sighed, she still didn't get it. Motioning toward Shepard, William said jokingly, "I wish you'd say that to him." Emili looked confused, his effort at a joke not quite registering.
