"Don't I get a say in this?!" Daniel dare not turn his head back as he pushed the yoke forward even more and then off to the side to avoid the rapid fire. The ship swirved in an arc up, and then down, and finally forward. Daniel spotted on the blinking radar map, that one of the enemy ships were drawing closer. He inferenced that they would soon launch another attack. "Hang on!" Daniel pulled the yoke back, sending the ship upward, and the leading enemy ship following. THen he veered it to the side, sending the ship in a forward bend to the left and back to being a straight line. The other ship fired, and barely hit. "Don't we have any accelerators?!"
"Commander?" Emili's voice growing a little desperate now that Dex had yet to answer her question. She turned her attention back to Shepard and the Panthera, "Shields at 26%, primary power at 39%. We are running dangerously low on power Lieutenant. I am doing my best to reroute power from non-mission-critial systems, but there are few. On her sensors she felt another ship drop after taking a direct hit from either Ghost Town or Foster. There were only three left now, but with the combined force of their weapons, the Panthera was in great danger. Emili focused her mind on keeping the shields from failing and keeping the main thrusters online. However, it was becoming increasingly difficult to find enough energy for both.
William swiveled the turret to follow one of the fighters as it made a flyby to attack the Panthera. His turret let loose a torrent of bullets, it was only then that William noticed they were running dangerously low on ammo as well. He bit his lip know that it was partially his fault. He had fired so many thus far and not really it anything with it. He growled heavily and swiveled the turret again. The three fighters had regrouped in to a V formation and were headed toward the Panthera at an alarming speed. William pulled away from his gun and shouted across the hull to Foster, "Hey Foster, shoot at the guy to the fathers right and I'll shoot to the farthest left that way I line of fire cross one another, and those trying to get away will get cause in the cross fire!" William didn't hear a reply so he situated himself properly again and took aim at his target. He pulled harshly on the triggers and the bullets ripped forth. Not a second later did he hear Foster's do the same and their line of fire crossed. The fighters tried to dodge but one tried to avoid the bullets and got caught directly in Foster's rapid fire. It took a direct hit and exposed next to its companion, this sent the other ship directly in to William's line of fire. This one took a direct hit but didn't explode, instead it fell from the sky most likely a major systems failure. It crashed toward the Earth at a frightening pace. The last of the ships fell back and the two gunmen aboard the Panthera stopped their attack. William pulled out of the turret and let out a roar of triumph, "Great job Foster!" He sat himself back in to the turret properly, but the last fighter was nowhere insight. The man spoke in to his com, "Uh, Emili, where did he go?"
Emili was to worried about the rapid loss of power in the Panthera as opposed to figuring out where the last fighter was. However, she sent her mind out through the sensors to try and find the ship. It had fallen back a great deal, but it was keeping pace with the Panthera, neither gaining or losing ground between them. She felt a energy build in the ship. Emili's warning sensors flashed in brilliant lights across her vision. Emili's frightened voice resounded through the Panthera, "Lieutenant, they are preparing some sort of failsafe device to destroy us. Give control back to me, now!"
In the flurry of activities, Valerie had lost whatever sanity she had managed to convince herself she had last night and clutched her head. A string of curses escaped her lips as she put her head between her knees as a strong migraine plagued her. She had never felt such stress and supposed that, maybe, this was a direct effect of the stress. Hissing in pain, she glared up at Shepard. "You heard her! Give her back control!" barked Valerie, hissing immediately after. She had no idea what was going on but in these cases she was no help. Firearms? What use was she? Stomping a foot down like a child, she let out another string of curses before hissing, "Shoot that ship down - I don't care what it takes."
Foster was taken by surprise at Dex's behavior - it was abnormal, though when he thought of it, he had expected no more from a hand-to-hand combat expert. Grunting, he checked how many bullets he had left. An honorable amount, though not enough to get the job done. Sighing in stress, he rubbed his eyes with the heels of his hands. "Yes, Commander."
"Dex. Call me Dex."

Daniel's frustration rose, and he whipped his head back and shouted. "Fine!" Daniel clicked and pressed certain buttons in a sequence, which made a click and beep sound. Now When Daniel moved the yoke, it was futile to move the ship. Rising from his seat, he stormed off to the engine room to do minor repairs. "There isn't enough time to fully repair the ship against another attack!" Daniel spoke into the mic, with a hint of bitterness.
Emili felt a rush through her when the Panthera's controls were back in her care. She pushed all remaining energy in to the thrusters, but it was in vain. The enemy ship was keeping paces easily. That horrible gathering energy only served to panic the AI more. She checked the status of the escape pods near the turrets. He attention quickly went back to the enemy ship. The gathering energy was almost at it's max. From the energy signature, the AI knew exactly what sort of weapon it was. An EMP. Emili had to make her decision here and now. That EMP was NAGA's failsafe this time. If the Panthera was hit, all systems would shut down, including Emili's consciousness. The ship would crash and there would be nothing she could do to stop it. Fear welled up inside the AI. She could do only one thing, the one thing she was programmed for. Emili quickly rerouted power to the escape pods and sent a blaring warning through the hull of the ship, "All hands to the escape pods!" Emili began to download her conscious back in to the host body while simultaneously trying to program the ship to autopilot, but this was going to take some time. Emili's warning again flooded the ship, "Everyone! Get to the lower decks!"
William heard Emili's voice throughout the ship. His heart beat faster as he leaned out of the turret. He spoke quickly in to the mic, "We can get it before it gets us!" Emili's harsh reply resounded in the headset, "Obey direct orders Agent!" William bristled but argued no further. He growling harshly, he abandoned the turret and rushed to where Foster was. He grabbed the man by his collar and hoisted him out of his seat, "You heard her, let's get going!"
Diving into the lower decks, Valerie watched with bated breath as the others streamed into the lower decks. Calming herself, she closed her eyes for one second before opening them. "Let's get going then." Hands on her hips, she waited for the others to get out before her. As a commander she felt it necessary to put the others before herself. As Foster passed by her, she gave him a smirk and a salute. "You did well, Foster."
Offering a weak smile, the soldier nodded. "Thanks, Com - Dex. I meant Dex."
"Right. Get moving, now."

William stopped in front of the escape pod just as Dex had done. He flashed his eyes toward her, his vision only cut off as Shepard rushed past. He was about to enter the pod when the thought hit him, what about Emili? His brown eyes filled with worry as he turned his face back the way they'd come. His voice roared over the sound of the warning tone, "Dex, what about Emili? We can't just leave her here. She's a machine, she'll be hit by the EMP and we'll lose her." He turned back the woman whom he had made commander. It was her call, but William wasn't sure what she'd do.
Pausing, Valerie bit her lip in thought. This hadn't been what she was expecting. She was expecting to die some other way. "This way is still valiant," she muttered. Turning to return to the c0ckpit, she stared at him with an even gaze, having come to a conclusion. An easy smirk was on her face. "I watched the way Shepard flew the ship. Emili, return to your body when I reach the c0ockpit. They need you." Saluting easily to Ghost Town, she nodded. "By the way, Shep's in charge when I die."
ooc; EMILI CAN'T DIE. D':

William tensed and slapped his hand on Dex's should before she charged off, "Oh for heavens sake! I meant let's get her body and drag it here! The ships a lost cause, its on autopilot anyway. We just need to grab Emili's body and get the heck out of here!" His eyes flashed dangerously, "Would you quit purposefully trying to find ways to kill yourself? We don't have time for you to screwing around and acting out the hero. Just do your dang job without trying to sacrifice yourself." He pulled his hand from her and without another word he stormed off the way he'd come from. Emili was in the cargo bay, her body was there when she wasn't using it. With his legs pumping and carrying him swiftly through the ship he made his way back up through the hatch to find where kept her host body.
Restraining the childish urge to trip Ghost Town as he ran by her, Valerie looked at Shepard and said in the most serious voice she could muster, "This is your job now. I obviously don't have the credentials for such a job." Saluting to him, she shuffled herself into the escape pod and heaved a great breath, looking over to the calm expression of James Foster. Sitting on the ground she pulled her legs to her chest and let her head fall back and lean against the wall. A relieved smile was on her face as she sat there, taking calming breaths. Glancing his way again, she watched as he leaned forwards and rubbed his face with his hands, heaving a great sigh. "Yeah, I've been there." The most he could let out was a shaky laugh. She didn't feel much better.
