Daniel followed along behind Emili, a renewed vigor, even if small, gleamed in his blue-green eyes at the fact that Emili had regained her memory. It was a good thing too, because her voicebank had also been fully restored as well, which made it easier to understand her. Though that weary sense of dread still loomed over the remains of the Patriots, until he heard about the Star Runner coming. He looked over to Emili, with a slightly worried glance. "We need to move faster." He murmured, in a slightly sluggish movement from the hours of running and also from the pounding in his head.
Emili nodded at Shepard's words. Indeed they needed to move faster. She led the group back through the matinence shaft that had brought them here. Foster made pathetic grunting noises at the pain while Emili continued to try and help him through the shaft. The Patriots wove their way back through the maze when the first explosion shoved them all sideways against the walls. Words scrolled across her vision and she called out, "Our transport hasn't sustained a direct hit. The tranpsort behind us has though. We should disembark this transport immediatly. Emili increased her speed while grabbing ahold Foster and practically dragging him behind her. Another shockwave rocked them again and Emili read the words on her vision. This time the transport had been hit, though not directly. It had managed to sustain enough damage to warrent them getting out of the transport now. Emili called out behind her, her synthetic voice filled with worry and urgency, "The transport has taken damage! It would be wise to leave now!" The AI continued to drag Foster through the transport until she found her way back to the way they had come in. The ladder to the bottom at this point looked way to long to be of any practical use. With the Star Runner firing down on them, they'd be sitting ducks if they tried to climb down safely. Emili reached behind her and grabbed Foster. She pulled him on to her shoulders and called back to Dex and Shepard, "Do what you can to get down. I'll get Foster out of here." With that she turned and jumped from the ledge. She plummeted to the group with Foster on her shoulders. She hit the ground and tried to take as much of the force off her injured passenger as much as possible. Foster made a harsh 'umf' as they hit the ground. Emili looked to him, he wasn't looking to good. Turning away she darted from between the transports and tried to find cover in the forest.
William let out another roar of pain as electricity shot through him again. The shocks stopped for a short while but the pain did not subside. William's face was stuck in a grimacing mask as the table was pulled from the water. He hadn't been tortured at all long today, just about an hour by now. He gasped heavily as his body tried to push the pain away. He weakly turned his head to look at Dany, the girl was still strapped to the wall, not like she had much choice in the matter. William turned and looked at the ceiling again as he roared out, "I'm going to kill you all! You hear me?!" The clownish man's voice sounded above him, "Oh certainly WC. We look forward to it. Tell you what, as soo-" but his voice was cut off through the mic as someone else's started. "Sir, the Star Runner, its attacking the transports." THe clownish man's voice sounded again, this time a bit of worry tinted his words, "Well then, scramble the fighters and shoot it down." William let out a harsh laugh, "Better get ready boys. I'm coming for you soon." He turned and sent a renewed smile at Dany, their rescue was at hand.
Something flickered inside Dany that she hadn't felt in a long time, hope. It was a foreign feeling, one that didn't quite resonate inside her. The horrible images that were in the front of her mind of Ghost Town being ''treated'' were replaced by the blind hope that she'd be out of this place today. She pulled on the chains again, but of course it was no use. She wanted to do something, anything at all to help achieve their goal of getting out of this place. She'd have to wait, but impatience flooded her blood stream. Being powerless was so frustrating. The smile that had spread across Ghost Town's face, knowing that their rescue was dawning, only made her want to fight back and get out of here even more, if such a thing were possible. There had to be a way out of these chains! She looked around the room, when they'd brought her in here, and slapped the chains on her wrists, they hadn't used any sort of key or anything like that, which means there had to be some other means of releasing these things. She looked at them, perhaps if they were pried? No, that would be too much work for them. Glancing around the room again, her eyes fell upon the control panel that lowered the table into the water. There! That had to be it. Getting to it was the problem. This was not going to be easy.
OOC: This RP is on its last leg and I need to get it going again. Sorry Resta, we're gonna have to move on without ya ^^" I've got a plan that will keep Dex around, but will put her on the back burner until you manage to get back. If you end up having to drop out, we'll cross that bridge when we get there :)
IC:
Emili raced away from the transports knowing that Shepard and Dex were right behind her. They took off in to the woods as the sound of transports exploding roared out behind them. Emili's heavy body made lots of noise as trees rushed by, lucky for the Patriots they didn't need to be stealthy right now. The escorts to the transports rang out cannon fire at the Star Runner, but that beautiful clunky ship easily took the hits and didn't show much damage. The ship fired back and the escorts stood a snow ball's chance in heck. Emili felt her synthetic mouth pull up in to a smile. It was no more than fifteen minutes later that the entire convoy was destroyed and the Star Runner was changing vectors. Emili stopped running and turned toward the ship. She couldn't let them leave, the Patriots would be abandoned. Quickly she locked her eyes to the Star Runner and words passed across her vision. She opened her mouth and made a few mechanical bleeps, bloopers and other sounds. Her blue eyes began to glow an ambient neon blue, shining with their mechanical design. "Star Runner, this is Emili of the SSV Panthera. Our ship has gone down, we are stranded half a mile from your current position. We are request you to change vectors for immediate extraction," She said aloud, though her voice wasn't meant for those around her. She had hailed the Star Runner in an attempt to get a rescue for her companions. No one answered her hail for what seemed like an eternity. Her glowing blue eyes stared desperately at the Star Runner, willing it to call back to her. "Emili?" a voice finally sounded in her mind, "Aren't you that AI on the Panthera? We saw the ship go down on the radar, we thought you guys were splatters on the ground by now." Emili grinned broadly, "No! We are alive. We need to board your ship. One of our teammates has been taken captive and the others are injured." The voice was quiet for a moment before replying, "Who's captured?" "His name is William 'Ghost Town' Cassidy. He was the one that made that big commotion back in Outcast," Emili replied. A gruff laugh sounded through the channel. "Alright, we coming around, be ready to board," the voice said. In the distance she could see the Star Runner bank to the right until it had made a complete turn. "Locking on to your vitals now," the voice said as the Star Runner quickly approached their coordinates.
***Mini Time Skip***
Emili walked aboard the Star Runner after the crew had extracted them from the ground. She headed to the bridge at the front of the clunky ship, the leader of this group had asked her to meet him. His was named Captain Frank McDonnell. The man was a bulky, blonde haired fellow with brown eyes and a thick mustache on his his lips. He wore the customary Outcast ship outfit, a black jump suite with white strips running along the sleeves and the sides of the legs. He wore tall brown boots and a thick leather belt. All in all the outfit wasn't that unpleasant, though Emili preferred the outfits of the Patriots. Much nicer. The AI approached the Captain and tilted her head to the side like she was a creature looking at something for the first time. McDonnell stared back at her and smiled, his mustache following the curve of his lip. "Welcome aboard young lady," he said evenly. Emili knitted her brows together and said just as evenly, "I'm not a young lady. I am not a lady. I am an AI." McDonnell's mouth twitched, his mustache following suit, "Alright then, welcome aboard young AI." Emili continued to stare at the man only to cause him to shift uncomfortably.(For anyone that cares, I imagine her staring at him like Castiel from Supernatural since that's how she stares at people) He let out a cough and started again, "I'd prefer to speak with your commanding officer-" "His hand is broken," Emili interjected, "He is getting medical treatment. You shall speak with me." The Captain frowned but didn't object, "We haven't been able to locate your crew mate, but we are closing in fast to NAGA headquarters." "Judging by the speed of the transport and the amount of civilization in the area, I'd estimate that Ghost Town is at NAGA." Captain McDonnell twitched his mustache at her, obviously she had stolen his thunder, "Yes... We figured that too." Emili looked past the man to the control console of the Star Runner, her eyes looking at it in stoic wonder. Is this what she had looked like in the Panthera? A console on the dashboard, a disembodied voice that had no place inside the machinery? Emili looked away from the console and back at McDonnell, "Warn us when we approach the facility." The Captain squinted at her, but being an AI she didn't catch the subtle cue of irritation. She turned from him and walked away.
***'Nother Mini Skip***
Emili raced to the bridge again, this time the rest of her crew in tow, except for Foster. The man was still in the med-bay. The Star runner was approaching the NAGA headquarters rapidly. The Captain called out to a dark skinned woman with black curly hair named Annie, "Take out the main reactors. We need to power down the facility." Emili took up a position beside the console, pressing keys on the holo-interface. A look of hope passed over the AI's face, "Captain, if you attack the main reactors the back up generators will come online. A blackout will happen in the facility for a mere three seconds and a restart will cause a reset in the electronic systems. All the electronic locks will open and allow doors to open." She shot the man a glance only to see him smile. He knew that's what would happen. Emili frowned and said soberly, "But to get close to the main reactors means we will take significant damage." The Captain's smile disappeared, "If we don't try then those back at Outcast will never forgive us in our failure." Emili nodded slowly and turned back to the console. The Captain's voice rang out, "Open fire!"
William grinned at Dany just before the lights went out. The locks on his feet popped open and he pulled them out of the cuffs. Dany's would have done the same. He rolled from the table and on to the floor with a 'thud'. He let out a gasp of pain. "Dany," he breathed, "Help me up. Our ride is here."
OOC: Sorry for the hecka long post, I needed to get the ball rolling

Feeling the chains around her wrists and ankles pop open, her body went to the ground, but she managed to catch herself. Right as the lights came back up, she raced to Ghost Town and knelt beside him. Bringing his arm around her shoulders, she helped him to his feet. "Hey!" The clown man's voice broke out. Dany turned to see him crossing the short distance between them, unarmed. She immediately brought her leg up to kick him square in the groin. Sloppy, but effective. His face grew red and contorted with pain as he keeled over. She grabbed the fabric of his shirt on his shoulders and half pushed half threw him into the tub of water. As he came up for breath, he grabbed onto the copper table they had had Ghost Town strapped too. She jumped up, and moved to where the panel was and hit the button, the table lowered, and the man's screams rang out as the pain flew through him. Her mouth quirked at the side, but not enough for a full smile. The pleasure took place in her heart. She moved back down to Ghost Town, "Do you need help?" Part of her really hoped he wouldn't, getting out wouldn't be too easy if she had to basically carry him the whole way, and from what she overheard from everyone else, she could really use his skills.
OOC: I don't even know. xD If it's stupid or should be changed, let me know. I still feel nervous about this RP at times. xD
OOC; It's perfect Goldie! I give Dany a thumbs up, Ghost Town does too! XD
IC: Williamwas on his feet, his head spinning for a moment as Dany kicked the man in the groin. He let out a short but satisfied laugh before Dany was at his side again. He nodded at her, he'd be fine in a few moment. He turned and raced out of the door, Dany hard on his heels. The back up generators had come online. An alarm blared overhead and William felt his head pound with its pulse. He heard shouts behind him and he only sped up. The halls were long and wound in such a way that he had no idea where he was going. At the end of the current hall he saw a door marked with a staircase. Fantastic! He raced to it and began to climb. It said they were on sub-level 20-A. Well that's just perfect. Twenty flights of stairs and to freedom they'd go. William climbed the first two flights until they were on sub-level 19-c. He was about to pass it by when he saw the words 'NAGA Main Armory'. Oh you had to be kidding. This was NAGA? Well it figured. Just a few weeks ago he was riding an elevator to this very armory knowing exactly who and what he was. Now he was just a mess in a hospital gown. William kicked open the door to see the armor flashing red and blaring with the alarm. Many of the weapons were already missing now that the troops had been scrambled. William turned to Dany and shouted, "Get yourself a uniform and any weapon you're sure, or even not sure, you can shoot." William himself raced to where the uniforms were stored in lockers. He found one marked WC-1863 and grinned. He opened it to find the same sort of suite he had taken with him so long ago. No need to be shy at the moment, so he changed right then and there. He didn't care what Dany saw or didn't see. He just wanted back in to his old skin. Once he had donned the garb that read 'Commander Cassidy' on the chest, he went in search of his magnums and his assault sniper.
Dany quickly changed as well, completely unaffected by the fact someone else was in the room. After suiting up, her keen eye caught sight of a Parker Hale Model 85 sniper rifle. Her face impassive, but the rise in her heart was something she thoroughly missed. She lifted it, grabbing boxes of ammo before loading it up herself. The alarm echoed louder in her ears as she focused on her rifle, loving the prospect of having a gun in her grasp again. She wasn't the best with handguns, but she grabbed one just in case and loaded it up too, storing it in the pocket of her uniform. She looked over towards Ghost Town, waiting for him to head out. The fact that she was heading out was something she'd never expected, and her mind hadn't caught up with the fact it was happening, so as per-usual, she was going with the flow of things.
William checked his ammo clip and turned back to Dany. He nodded at her, he was ready to go. "I know there is a maintenance elevator shaft that isn't directly controlled by the rest of the system around here. They need it cut off from the rest just in case something like this happens. Follow me," he said as he rushed from the armory. He took Dany down a series of halls until they approached a rickety looking cage elevator. It was wasn't pretty, but it would get them out of here. "If there is anywhere for the Star Runner to get us, its on the roof," he turned and smiled at Dany, his vigor renewed, "You ready to see daylight?" He turned and jumped in to the elevator, Dany right beside him. The elevator started out slow but it didn't take it long to really get moving. The elevator accelerated so that when William looked up through the chain link roof he could see the top floor racing toward them. The elevator slowed until it came to the top floor. They'd have to get out on to the roof. As soon as the wire door opened, the dark haired man was bolting out with Dany just beside him. Instantly the two were racing down a hall inside their captor's base. He had been there ever since he had been caught, which was only a few days, but still. Behind him stormed Dany, the girl with blondish brown hair who had been here for what must have seemed like an eternity. It was nice to see her sporting a rather elegant sniper rifle and wearing the para-military uniform. If the Star Runner was near the roof, it was taking to much damage to stay there for long. "Dany, get the lead out," William roared at the girl. Ahead of them, men were pouring out of doors. They pointed their weapons at the two escapees but didn't have a chance to get a single shot off. William and Dany let out a volley barrage fire and the wall of men dropped dead. A grin spread on William's stubbled face, "Come on! We're almost there! Dex, Shepard and Emili are waiting for us." His long legs pumped beneath him as they continued to race toward the door. William kicked it in and motioned for Dany to go through. The girl raced through and up the stairs. The two burst in to the harsh sunlight of the day. The large clunky but wondrously capable ship called the Star Runner hovered by the edge of the building. The airlock was open and William could see Dex and Emili yelling and motioning for them to get over there now. William shoved Dany toward the ship and the girl didn't need another prompt. She took off with William hard on her heels. He heard shouts and gun fire behind him, but he didn't stop. The two escapees jumped through the open airlock while Emili shouted, "Captain McDonnell, get us out of here!" The Star Runner made a powerful hum and moved away from the lip of the building. The entire ship shook as the main defense cannons landed direct hits on the hull. Sparks and warning blares rounded throughout the ship. "Hold on!" a man's voice shouted through the intercoms. Within a moment, the Star Runner was at full speed and making its escape from the NAGA headquarters. William looked at Dany as he belt over, hands on his knees, and panted. His brown eyes were wide with disbelieving triumph. "We did it," he laughed, "We got out of there."
OOC; I'm so lame... Copied and pasted from Breaking Borders. Of course I edited here and there XD
The sunlight had hit Dany like a brick wall, her eyes burned, and her head spun. As soon as Ghost Town had shoved her forward she quickly jumped into the ship, stopping to catch her breath, and her mind accepting the situation. She was on a ship, heading quickly away from the place she'd spent years in, she was out and all thanks to Ghost Town, his capture had given her her freedom. For the first time in many years, her face broke into a smile. "Thank you." She said plainly, although her eyes conveyed her emotion. "You getting captured is the best thing to ever happen to me." Dany looked around and nodded at the others who were with her. Realizing this would be the proper moment to give her name, but missing it. It was odd, being around several people at once who didn't want to poke and prod her and torture her. That part of her life was over, she was free. It was almost too much too believe, but believe she did, and felt relief flood through her.
William stood up straight and looked at his crew mates. All of them were there, save for Foster but William really didn't care. He looked at Shepard, then Emili and then finally to Dex. His few short days in that nightmarish prison only made him realize how much he had missed these three. "I'm back," he smiled at them. He turned to Dany and said with a laugh, "Guess I should introduce you to the team." He turned to the group and pointed in turn, "This is Shepard, Emili and Dex." He turned back to Dany, "Guys this is Da-" was all he had time to say before the ship jostled sideways. The five people were thrown against the wall, a loud shower of sparks flew across William's vision. When he managed to finally see again, he saw a broken electricity panel and Dex's prone shape lying on the floor. His eyes flew open but he didn't quite understand what had just happened. "Dex?" he said softly. She wasn't moving, in fact she wasn't breathing. William lunged forward and scooped her in to his arms. He whirled around to Emili, "Med-bay, now!" Emili moved away, William hard on her heels. The same male's voice sounded above him, "Hold on folks, they still have a few fighters on our tail. Should be taken care of in a minute." His voice went silent but William wasn't listening. He was racing after Emili until he burst in to the med-bay. Foster was laying down in a medical tank, floating in healing fluid. William quickly put Dex in to one of the tanks and pressed an oxygen mask over her face. One of the Star Runner crew was at his side, "What happened?" William shook his head, not really sure. The woman pushed him aside and went to work, "Get out of here and find something productive to do. I'll take care of Dex." William didn't want to leave but he felt Emili pulling him away. "I'm not leaving her," he growled, desperation in his voice, but Emili was way to strong to pull away from. The door slid shut behind them and locked in to place. He wasn't getting back in there. Emili let go and he flew at the door, pounding his fist against it. "Let me back in!" Behind him, Emili placed a warm hand on his shoulder, "If you want to help her, let her be. We need you on the bridge. Shepard and Dany will most likely be there now."
