Quickly snatching back her hand, Ariana took a deep breath. A man had done that to her before and her father had explained what it meant - "it's a way men greet women, Ariana" "yes, father" - and a panic attack was quickly avoided though she kept it in her mind to evade any other gestures as such. It didn't mean that she accepted it any better. Rather, she gave Isel one of her doe-eyed looks and shuffled a little bit away from him. In a childish comment, she looked at him with a child's gaze and smiled after banishing his action to the recesses of her mind. Clapping her hands in front of her chest, she giggled - a soft sound that was light enough it resembled more so an echo. "Ah, but I am not the only one here. So it is a pleasure to everyone?" The large grin on her face softened gradually as she turned to the others with a stout nod.
ooc; panic attack avoided. ohyeah. go papa spitfire.

"Appearantly..." Isel's tone completely changed to a more annoyed feeling, though still his voice natrually faint. His eyes scanned everyone that was with him. He was not very impressed with what he saw, as could be seen from the expression on his face that changed into a more disgusted look. Another soft sigh escaped his lips as he stopped scowling and his eyelids drooped halfway into a tired glare, as if he were bored already.
OOC: I just really want to punch Isel in the face. (The original Isel I had created based off my Lord of the Rings Online character was a bit... special....)
Kaleo nodded in the girls direction. "Pleasure." He realized he hadn't given an introduction to himself. He pondered whether it was necessary or not. He supposed it was, as it seemed accustom in normal conversation to introduce one's self. "Kaleo." He said, giving a slight bow in her direction without bending too much. The wonder and excitement in the girl's eyes perplexed him. Was this normal behavior? The giggle that had pushed past her lips was that of a child, yet it sounded distant, as if she was farther away than she was. His eyes glanced towards everyone else on the boat. He wondered why such different beings were all to be gathered here, and more importantly, why he himself was apart of the odd situation.
ooc; I don't think she's "stupid" at all! I think she's positively adorable!!! :D I'm still playing around with Kal's character, he should have a solid one soon. x3
IC: Kayus slid off his horse and patted it on its muscular neck saiying "See you soon, buddy."
The horse snorted and blinked its big, soft, dark eyes. He turned and boarded the boat, glancing back one last time to see his horse trotting away, flicking its tail as it went. The gate caught his eyes as he watched his horse. The gate was just as magnificent from the other side as it was in the front. A sudden thought entered his head and Kayus peered over the edge of the boat noticing for the first time the intricate carvings on the hull. The way the figures had been carved into the boat, it looked almost as if they were moving. What ever feeling of homesickness that had started brewing within was soon replaced with excitement to see what else the elves had created.
OOC: Post was supposed to be up hours ago but I got distracted by... things. It's almost as if it was decided my day was too quiet...
EDIT: From the time I first started writing this post to when I finally posted it, another page was added. Wow...

Troka had watched everything from where she had sat on a small crate near the bow of the boat. Her hand traveled to the small pack she had brought. In it rested the flute she had received for her birthday so many years ago. It comforted her and reminded her of home. The two elves that had introduced themselves seemed so cold. The young hobbit quirked her head at their words. She let a silence stretch before she pipped up cheerfully, "Just so everyone knows, I'm Troka Stoutheart." Her mouth pulled up in to a pleasant childish smile. Her large feet dangled over the edge of the crate. As the ship began to glide through the water, Troka leaned toward the edge of the boat. Her blue eyes went round as she saw the crystal colored water lap at the edge of the vessel. "Wow," she said breathlessly as the boat began to pick up speed. From where they stood at the back, the elves watched the entire exchange. The she-elf's voice raised as she announced, "It should take us about 2 days to get up to the capital of Vis'holmå called Ashal. I'm sure you will all enjoy it. There is no place more beautiful than the splendorous cliffs of Ashal."
Isel looked over to the two elves that had spoken. Then he switched his glance over to the others. He was still a bit bugged about the variations on race-type. Troka seemed friendly enough, Isel at least thought. He didn't really like Arianna, for he thought she was truly clueless. Kaleo didn't speak much at this point, so Isel didn't really have a problem with him. Nor did Isel have a problem with the man who hadn't introduced himself yet. So far Isel felt that he didn't really have to compete with others for somethiong, for he thought they were totally out of his skill level. "Interesting..." The lone word escaped his mouth without him realizing, and soon he just let it linger without finishing the thought.
ooc; her childish bluntness towards isel. C': haha
ic; Watching the graceful moves of Kaleo, Ariana's nose scrunched up in thought. Without noticing the dagger by his side - she was easily distracted but shiny things didn't have that great of sway upon her - she smiled. Clasping her hands in front of her, she regarded him with utmost attention. "Aah. Your moves are fluid. You must be very skilled in combat? Or at least have the potential to be." Looking beside her to Isel she immediately took on the expression of a not-impressed variety and deadpanned, "And you have an attitude, good sir. The irritation is clearly there in your jerky movements. There is no reason to hide such emotions." However, the poor girl - well woman, since she had recently reaced the age of nineteen - had no idea it was her that bothered him. Turning towards the half-ling that spoke, she gave her a wide grin. "Hello, Troka!" She ignored the comment of the length of the trip and decided to take it hour by hour.

The compliment nearly took Kaleo by surprise. Was it a compliment? Perhaps it was one of the intricate details humans left in their conversations to be found but not necessarily noticed. Although this hardly seemed like one of those humans, as her attention span wandered to three of the beings on the boat in a matter of seconds. It was interesting, how she could switch so fast, he didn't understand it. Perhaps it was simply because he was used to focusing on one thing at a time until he was finished. To have such an exorbitant amount of thoughts intersecting the others seemed like the closest thing to insanity one could get. He brought his hands behind his back in a firm clasp, watching and listening to the conversations that seemed to only be held by this odd human before him.
OOC: I like Kaleo, he's so calm and stuff. XD Very laxed. ANd I like Arianna, so very adorable! I just want to hug her! And alng with Troka. :3 I'm the only buttmunchy character. XD
Isel groaned at Arianna's comment on his attitude, and folded his arms over his silver breastplate. "Child." He muttered under his breath, letting his raven black bangs slightly flopping forward even more over one of his pale eyes. Isel looked over to Troka, then to Kaleo. "Such a rareity it is to find, someone who is so oblivious. Then again I'd think that trait would come most common with humans." He aimed his verbal sneak attack at Arianna with a speech of eloquence and grace.
Kaleo's eyes narrowed slightly and a muscle in his lip twitched. "It is also such a rarity to find someone whose mind does not close at the aspect of race." It wasn't intended as an insult, merely a statement. While Kaleo had a certain air of superiority about him, he didn't think it kind to openly insult someone else on the mere fact of racial issues. Isel reminded Kal much of his father in a lot of aspects. Which made him respect, as well as feel defensive towards anything the elf would have to say. His eyes then carried to the young human, to judge how she would handle such a situation. It seemed a pity that insults and remarks had already become a part of any conversation that was to be held on this voyage.
