"It seems to me that everyone is just plum-tuckered out from this morning's hunting patrol. I mean if I had gone, I probably would be as tired as you guys." Was Fallenreverence's answer as she looked at Acorafallen, a friendly gesturing tone wavering in her voice. Today was the first day in a very long time that Fallenreverence had slept-in. Usually it was the same old morning routine; get up before sunrise, take the usual morning run, get back before the sun's golden rays gently wake up the camp, in enough time to go on hunting patrol. But, today. Today was just a different day indeed. By the time Fallenreverence had put one paw out of camp, a wave of exaustion had plauged her. She silently had snuck back into the warm, soft moss and fallen straight to sleep. When the pretty she-cat awoke, her faithful friend, the sun, had already entered the camp.
But, now, the she-cat felt flighty and quite snappy since her schedule had been just tossed away, like garbage. She was thinking garbled thoughts about finding 'the one' as her mother called it. Ugh. She spat, moodly in her head. When do I have the time for thought's like that? And, anyways, all the toms here have their eyes set on other she-cats. Shaking her head, she looked up at Acorafallen.
Acorafallen grinned. "It's not really that exhausting. You know, unless you find someone stealing prey over the border or something." she joked. That hadn't happened for quite some time. "Usually you wake up a little earlier. And you're usually first near the prey pile." she gestured. Fallenreverence was a pretty she-cat, and an envy of most others. She also happened to be an early bird. "I think it's amazing that this morning hasn't been a little crazy. You know, storms, territory disputes, invaders- none of that's happened for so long." She trailed off. It was great that it was so calm, but even without the disputes over territorial rights they hadn't had much contact with other clans. She had been hoping to at least see whether their cats were holding up as well. If they were in bad shape, they would begin to attack other clans out of desperation, or as it had been done before.
Giving a small grin, the pretty young she-cat gave a glance at Jackelfur for no apparent reason."I'm a little off schedule today. I have no idea what has gotten into me today." She replied, wairly. Her thoughts rambling on subjects that made no sense at all. Family of her own.... mate. Of all the pathetic she-cat like thoughts, she had to pick those to think about. This made her feel more of she-cat then ever before, a trait she did not like. I mean, she liked to feel pretty and get noticed by toms but she liked the idea of excelling for being herself. "Are you excited about the gathering tonight, Acorafallen. I sure am." As she replied, Fallenreverence gave a short sigh of melencholiness. Sometimes, she just wanted to have something to do.
Acorafallen tilted her head. "Actually I'm anxious." she replied. "I don't know why... usually the gatherings are fine but I just feel so jittery about this one..." she trailed. Yes, despite the calm atmosphere things like this could easily be disrupted. Like calm weather... one seconds its nice, then a storm front sets in and they have to take shelter for a few hours. At the gathering it might be the same with the clan cats. If there was indeed a lack of food or trouble of some sort in another clan's territory, it would probably be brought up at the gathering. And like a storm it might disrupt a great deal of cats. Anything could happen depending on the situation. "I'm eager to see that everyone else is doing as well as we are." she replied, fixing her train of thought. "If we've been doing so well there shouldn't be too much reason for the other clans to become frustrated."
