IC - Rowan Mercer: Rowan froze in the doorway, his right hand resting on the door frame. "You were expected, in fact I had moved stuff around so the whole base would've at least seen who you were. The Commander had different plans. She said that personnel transfers were no big deal. There was no reason to change the schedule around to accommodate your arrival in any fancy way." Rowan spit on the sandy floor. "I had managed to clear a few hours but when you guys met headwinds coming in from the GNA and were delayed, the Commander refused to change her schedule around..." Rowan didn't struggle to hide his contempt. He rubbed the back of his neck for a second. "I admit I probably should've had a private be your tour guide. That was my bad." He grinned at the team, not looking particularly apologetic but instead like he found the whole thing funny.

IC - Ethan Gris - With the others: "Oh, okay; that makes sense," Ethan said. They were passing outside now, walking through the camp and toward the mess hall. They were not the only ones. Other soldiers and guards were heading in the same direction, all of them probably just as hungry as Ethan and his group were.
He looked around briefly before looking back at Mercer.
"If you don't mind me saying, sir," Ethan said. "The Commander sounds really hard-headed."
IC - Rowan Mercer: "Drop the sir, I might have come as a uncompromising earlier today but I don't stand on formality too much if I don't have too." Rowan said. He saluted the poor private who was stuck on door duty outside the mess hall. "Mind you that doesn't mean I enjoy the privilege's of rank such as officer's mess. And our entire team gets in." Rowan winked as he lead his team into a room off from the main mess. "And Ethan, I wouldn't take my opinion of the Commander as-" "Welcome! So you are Rowan's new command!" A female voice rang out over babble of the mess. "Crap." Rowan muttered. He saluted as a woman approached the group. She stood about the same height as Rowan, with rich brown hair and a weathered tan that somehow only added to her appearance. She looked almost like she belonged in modelling, not on a military base but there was a hard edge to her that defied the connection. To Rowan it always seemed to read "I am a woman but I'll kill you for suggesting it." "Commander." Rowan snapped.

IC - Ethan Gris - Mess Hall: With this interruption, Ethan was free to fill in the blanks with Mercer's unfinished sentence. "Would take my opinion of the Commander as..." What? Fact? Prejudice? Accurate?
Who knew? Regardless, the Commander was here now, so it was, apparently, time to officially meet her. He noted the obvious... dislike... that Mercer was showing at her presence. He saluted her as she approached.
"Ma'am."
OOC: So just out of curiosity, cause this just crossed my mind... who are we actually fighting in this RPG?
OOC: Taking care of that right now. This post was supposed to be up while ago but school's been throwing project after project at me and SOMEBODY has been distracting me. But on to the much needed enemy post. +D
IC-RR Moroz, Israel-: A lone Moroz skated across the desert, periodically checking over its shoulder. The moon shone brightly overhead, causing the desert sands to glow. The Exo came climbed to the top of a dune and peered out over the desert. The Moroz raised its gun, waiting for any sign of movement. Off in the distance was the faint glow of a massive blaze which illumated a thick smoke cloud that rose into the dark sky. The Efacer couldn't stop his eyes from drifting towards the blaze. He couldn't prevent the old memories from surfacing. Cursing loudly, he slammed his fist into the side of the c0ckpit. He turned the Moroz around and froze.
Standing now in front of him was the blood red demon itself. The shark-like monster that had torn through the Russian Republic base and killed the Efacer's comrades.
The Efacer screamed in rage and opened fire, but the red demon machine grabbed the Moroz's arm in its jaws and ripped it off. Using its only remaining arm, the Exo drew its combat knife and attempted to stab the shark headed mech. The red demon ducked under the knife and rammed its bladed tail through the torso of the Moroz, demolishing the c0ckpit and anything within.
IC-Unknown Organization, Israel-: "There she is."
A Tarantula pointed towards a tall dune off in the distance and the lead Exo, a modified Tarantula, broke off from the rest of the group and sped towards the dune. The rest of the squad kept their distance. The modified Tarantula skated to the top of the dune and paused next to the demon machine.
The strange red, Exo was hunched over the body of a destroyed Moroz, its shark shaped head pointed towards the moon. Unlike other Exos, it lacked a visor of any kind, but its differences didn't stop there. The Exo was built bow legged and stood shorter than any other Exo. A fin rose from its back and both its shoulders. Several boosters were installed just behind the fin and under its chest. Its arms were strangest part of its build. The Exos arms, instead of being completely mechanical, appeared to be made of flesh. A thick tube wrapped around each arm and disappeared into its "skin". More of this flesh could be seen in on its ankles. And to top it all off, a long tail coiled around the Exo's feet. At the very end of this tail were four blades.
"I'd rather you not run off like that," said the pilot of the Tarantula. His deep voice sounded empty, devoid of all emotion.
"But Krymson hates survivors. He loathes them," giggled the pilot of the demonic red Exo. She sounded young, almost too young to be piloting an Exo. Her Exo, Krymson, made a strange ticking noise, almost as if it was trying to mimic its pilot's giggles.
"We must get moving, we've already spent too much time here."
The Tarantula slid down the side of the dune towards the rest of the squad.
"But the sky is so pretty here! So full of stars..."
Krymson growled and turned towards the burning remains of the RR base.
"You're right," said Krymon's pilot. "That does look far prettier. Garm!"
"Yes, Ma'am?" said the tarantula pilot.
"Where can we find another military base?"
"Please, ma'am. We should rest before launching another attack. The rest of our squad is tired. We can raid another base later," said Garm.
Krymson crouched and growled at the other Tarantulas, looking as if he were about to pounce on the Exos.
"Very well then." Krymson rose and the Tarantula pilots all let out sighs of relief. "We'll wait, but not too long. I don't want to get bored, and neither does Krymson."
OOC: THat's all I got for now. I'll get a post up for my character soon....ish. Still kind of busy. But I'll be trying.
OOC: Fine since SOMEONE won't post her bit, I guess we'll move on...
IC - Rowan Mercer - Exo-Hangar: "Alright, today's mission is a training exercise only." Rowan roared in the early morning air. It was one of his favorite times of the day, the early morning before the heat of the day was cool enough to remind him of home, though the blowing sand and unbearable brownness of the region was a harsh difference. "This will not be a live fire exercise, do you understand?" "We will be separated into two teams of two, Warrant Officer Haus and Sergeant Sakura will be deployed on Team A. Warrant Officer Gris and I will be on Team B. This will be a simple operation, hunt-and-destroy style, each time will attempt to eliminate the other. Any questions?

IC - Ethan Gris - Mess Hall: While he was speaking and saluting the Commander, Ethan was discreetly taking mental notes on the mess hall. He was observing people, searching the walls for windows and exits, making sure he knew where potential escape routes were in case of an (unlikely) ambush. Or in case of some other conflict between the soldiers here. That was entirely possible.
After all, he was new, and he knew noone in the area--aside from his new friends. So if someone decided to start a fight or something, he would need a quick escape root. It wasn't like he was skilled at martial arts of anything--he was a Efacer, and as a result was more oriented and capable in a mech.
Mentally, Ethan sighed. He couldn't wait to test run his new ride. Seriously...
IC - Ethan Gris - Exo-Hanger: "Dang, no live fire?" Ethan said. "What about dead ice? That's only half as deadly as actual bullets." When no one laughed, he smirked. "That's a joke. But seriously, I'm ready; where's mine?"
Once again, he was observing the hanger--discreetly. Noting the mechs around him, the engineers, the equipment, and, of course, the exits. One could never be too careful.
IC-Skyler-: Skyler smirked upon hearing Ethan's joke. "That was pretty clever," she said.
The sounds and smells of the hangar brought back wonderful memories of working on Exos back at the academy. The Ulysses MKII's were jsut as beautiful as she remembered. Far better looking than the MK I's. The Ulysses MK I had been a clunky machine designed more for anti-tank and aircraft. Its movements were slow and jerky, which would make them easy prey for more modern Exos. The creation of new Exos resulted in the MK II which was better suited for figthing enemy Exos and surpassed it's predecessor in everything. The MK I had become so outdated, that only poor mercanary and bandit groups used them. Even then, the Exos were modified so that they may be able to stand against current genration Exos.
"So you're participating too?" Skyler looked at Rowa. "Don't you think that's a little unfair? Pitting two rookies against an experienced Efacer and another rookie."
IC - Rowan Mercer - Exo-Hangar: "Of course I am, can't be having uneven teams." Rowan shrugged. "Also, I want to play with the new machines just as much as you do." Just then an alarm blared, sending technicians and engineers scrambling for final preparations. "All units prepare for mission go, Efacers please mount now." The Commander's voice rang over the PA. "You will be transported to operation location aboard two Great Albatross gunships." "Gris and Sakura your two machines are on the left! In that order!" Rowan barked, taking off running for his own machine."Haus yours is on the far right!" He moved faster than the rookies, the months of front-line warfare in the Ulysses MKI units had drummed into him the practiced swing motions that were the most efficient for getting into the ****pit quickly. It helped that he was in a full Efacer combat suit, a form of life support and interface that had been developed at the tail end of the South American War. They were made of tight material that had been designed to passively maintain a pilot's body temperature at an "ideal" level, around the chest and neck were hard bulges designed to absorb extreme levels of shock and provide an bio-sign interface for the Exo's AI. Rowan's suit was a stark black with blood red chest and neck pieces, his own unique colouration that was borne of a tradition that had been driving commanders across the GNA. Rowan dropped into his Exo's c0ckpit. "Rise and Shine Eir." Rowan called out. Immediately the Exo's screen lit up and Eir childish voice rang out in the speakers. "Voice Ident confirmed, Hello!" "Hello Eir." Rowan smiled. "Run a operation system's check as the startup sequence is underway. And let's see how the rookies are doing..." Rowan chuckled.
OOC: Sorry to add something, everyone is in a suit like this (if u want) but you havent gone through the tradition yet.
