"Sandwiches sound good," Eir said, already taking out the cutting board and knives. Their bread would have to go untoasted, since they didn't own a gas toaster, and he began slicing the sandwiches' contents. By the time his sister was back, he had assembled the first of the six and set it on a plate. The next one followed, and the remaining four were wrapped and packaged for later.

"Here," he said, bustling around to gather materials for a milkshake. Their blender wouldn't work, but perhaps he could make do with other untensils....

After ten minutes of struggling with a whisk and a potato masher, he had two glasses of lumpy milkshake set next to the sandwiches and a pile of dirty dishes in the sink. "Gladur, what do you say to washing the dishes?" he asked with a rueful smile as he moved the dishes to their table.

OOC: Totally cool with me :D

IC:

Trisha had been so wrapped up in getting to where she and Tony would meet that the word 'kid' had been completely ignored. When a person appeared before her, Trisha stopped and lifted a brow at her. This girl looked like she'd just woken up. Weird considering it was getting close to the middle of the day. "Uh," she started, feeling completely awkward about the hole situation. Trisha wasn't exactly a people person, which was weird considering she wanted to be a musician some day. Heck, she was trying to start up a band as it was. Of course, finding talented people willing to work with you for no pay was a little difficult. The dark haired girl before her was giving her an expectant look. "No... I don't know what's going on," Trisha said a little dismissively. She turned her bright blue eyes over her shoulder to where the other girl had come from. "You live around her?" Dumb question. She wouldn't be here if she didn't. Trisha turned her eyes back to the other girl, "The power just went out and I don't know why. Is your cell phone working?" Trisha hadn't bothered to check hers since... Well, she didn't actually have one. With all F's the previous year her parents had decided, no cell phone. It was a real pain in the neck since she had no way to contact her drummer, the only person that had stuck around.

Jo's hands immediately went to her pockets. Surely she'd left her phone in them last night...yes! There it was. She pulled it out of her pocket, and tried to make the screen come to life. But it didn't work. Her brow creased as she held down the on button. "Hm. Odd." She said putting it back in her pocket and finding the girl's blue eyes. "Where you headed? Cause if you're headed somewhere to maybe get this all straightened out, it'd be freaking awesome if you let me come with. 'Cause I really have no idea how to get it straightened out for my dad. Wouldn't want to be even more of an annoyance, know what I mean?" She let out a laugh, as if it was the most casual thing in the world to talk about this. "So whaddya say, kid? Care if I tag along?" This girl looked like nothing of her circle of friends. She looked like the girl they'd despise. But Jo wouldn't have to talk to her after today, right? So what's the harm in playing nice.

Trisha frowned softly. This girl talked... A lot. "Um... I was just headed to a study partner's house, getting away from my parents for a little while," would it be okay if this girl went along? Trisha didn't know her, and like she was most of the time, that made her uneasy. Trisha didn't have many friends... Okay, none to be exact, so talking to someone she didn't know wasn't exactly something she liked doing, let alone walking all over kingdom come with them. "You can come along I guess, you're probably going to be bored though," she said dismissively as she moved to continue walking down the sidewalk. "And my name isn't kid, it's Trisha," the girl said. She almost never introduced herself as Patricia. Usually people would shorten it to Patty and that ticked her off like you wouldn't believe. Her overly strict and cantankerous grandmother called her Patty all the time, making the name annoying to hear. Trisha shot a look over her shoulder, once again, uneasiness flooding through her stomach.

Joanna decided to tag along, perhaps whoever this...study partner of hers was, would know something. Maybe. Study partner? Okay, so this girl was one of those people apparently. Even more of someone Jo never hung out with. She raised her eyebrow's at the girl's defense to her calling her kid. "Alright, Trish. Sorry, names Jo, Joanna, but Jo. If you want." She shrugged, not really caring which name the girl called her by. The two walked, Joanna following the other girl. "So, it's a little weird, huh? No power? Not even phones? Wonder if it's just our block." Jo still couldn't believe she was functioning after the night she'd had. She ran her fingers through her short and somewhat curly hair. It was tangled like crazy. She probably looked a wreck, especially since she hadn't washed her make up off from the night before, but it was whatever. She really didn't care. "So how far we got?"

Trisha had frowned heavily when Joanna called her Trish. She'd wanted to snap back and tell her that it was Trisha, not Trish, but the girl held her tongue. If Joanna did it again, she tell her. "Half a mile," the girl said absentmindedly. She hadn't thought of it before, but perhaps that distance would get the other girl to stop following her. Trisha was meeting Tony at a library, not more than half a mile from either of their houses. It would have been nice to have a car to drive there, but her parents only had one. Trisha barely got to drive it as it was. "You don't have to tag along," the girl said evenly, "You're probably not going to be all that in to studying." Trisha almost bit her tongue at the comment that had just come out of her mouth. She hadn't meant to make is sound like Joanna didn't take her schooling seriously. Trisha just didn't want the other girl to know just how deeply in trouble she was with her grades. She had a struggle keeping up as it was and Tony was the only person that would take the time to help her. It only served to make Trisha feel more like a failure.

Joanna let out a laugh. "Dang right on that, I'm not going for the studying, Trish. I'm going to see if anyone can tell me what the heck is going on. My dad sent me out to fix it, can't do that so might as well see if anyone can. Beside, what else am I gonna do without electricity? I should still be sleeping right now, but that's out. I'm all kinds of awake now." She turned her bright brown eyes to the girl. "So why are you studying on a Saturday? You one of those super smart kids. Like the Asians? Lookin' to study anytime, anywhere, so long as your nose is in a book?" Jo was definitely the opposite of that. Had she ever studied a day in her life? Probably not.

Trisha tensed. That was it. The girl stopped and whirled around on Joanna, "Look, I said my name is Trisha. With an a at the end." With that she turned back and kept walking down the street. "You're probably not going to find any answers and no, I'm not super smart," she seethed. She let it at that though, she still didn't want this girl knowing that she struggled so hard with school. Trisha would have rather been going to a band practice right now, heck, she wished she'd brought her guitar along. "Why don't you go and get a college degree in mechanical repair or something so you can fix this yourself. Honestly, how do you expect to figure out how to fix this, honestly," the girl grumbled.

Joanna's eyes narrowed at the girl. "Okay Trish-AH." She exaggerated the end with a small laugh at the end. The girl's sarcastic comment annoyed her as she bounced back. "Nah, too much time. I'm not expecting to figure out how to fix this, that's why I'm with you, gonna find someone who can." It was obvious the girl did not want Jo with her. Which is exactly why she was going to stick this through and go to the stupid library with her. "So, Trish-A. What's got you all grumpy? Not a very great way to start out a friendship." Ha, like this would end up being a friendship. But still, she had to ask.

Trisha hunched her shoulders forward and she sent a dirty glare over to Joanna. "I'm not your friend," she sneered. Why couldn't this girl get the hint? She just wanted to go to her stupid study meeting and then go home. "What's your problem anyway? You live on the same street as me, but I've never even seen you. Do you even go to high school?" Trisha shoved her hands in her pockets, her eyes focusing intently on the street before her. Couldn't Joanna take a hint? "Why're you even following me? Tony isn't going to know how to fix all this, it's a stupid idea to think that." How would Tony know? Joanna might as well go and walk down to the PG&E store. They'd know more than anyone.
