Joanna rolled her eyes. "I never said this Tony will know how to fix it all, I'm just looking for someone who can, mkay?" What was wrong with this girl? My God. Jo sighed. "I really don't feel like being harassed by you, little miss Trish-A. So I'm going to walk ahead. Aight?" She said sarcastically as she sped up a bit. She turned and jogged backwards a bit. Jo saluted the girl with a bright smile and headed straight to find anyone who could possibly know whats going on.

Trisha gave Joanna another sarcastic look before she completely ignored the girl. Trisha kept up a brisk pace as she headed to the library. As annoying as it was, Joanna kept following her, though not as closely as before. Didn't the other girl say she wanted answers? Well, there really weren't any other people around at the moment. Once they got to the library, Trisha saw that it was closed... In fact... It was closed on weekends. Gosh dang it... Trisha's face blushed a deep red as she remembered that she was actually supposed to go over to Tony's house. Man, the boy was going to be ticked. Trisha sent a frown toward Joanna who was just coming up behind her. "It's closed... I forgot I'm meeting Tony at his house," she said. "You're probably going to want to go home."

Joanna halted. Her eyes glaring at Trisha. "Really?" Was it even worth it? Probably, just to annoy this girl some more. But she didn't know if she wanted to turn around and go back or not. Joanna heaved a sigh. "I wanted to go home the second I left that door. But I want to find out what's going on. Kay? You're stuck with me, Trish-A. I know, just what you wanted to hear on this beautiful Saturday morning with no electricity." What bugged her, was the fact the cell phones weren't even working. Black outs never caused that. So she had a feeling there was something else. Might as well find out what.

Trisha glared at the girl, "Fine, follow me if you want, I doubt Tony will let you inside the house. Then you can go find another person to leech off of." With that, Trisha headed away from the library and on her way to Tony's house. It was a long aggravating walk to her tutor's house with Joanna in tow. Why today? Why? Honestly, was it too much to ask for a peaceful day? Trisha didn't even know Joanna, why as this girl bugging her so much? They weren't friends, they didn't like each other. Was there some sign on Trisha's back that said, "Please annoy me"?

Gladur smiled, finding some water bottles and filling them up from the sink, tossing one each into the identical bags they had. She added a few of the non-perishable snacks they had lying around, granola, trail mix, and the like. She left the bags on the counter and went to sit at the bar that looked into the kitchen. From her perch, she could watch Eir struggle with the milkshakes, a grin on her face. "So, where should we go today? Maybe into town?" She took one of the sandwiches and bit into it, humming in appreciation. The tomatoes were juicy, the lettuce crunchy, the bread not soggy, even without toasting. She supposed a lot of - or almost all of - what made a sandwich good was its ingredients.

"Mmmm, delicious! You always know just what to put in these." She picked up the plate and the other milkshake, following him to the table and sitting across from him. "Maybe we should go into the woods?" she asked, swallowing down a mouthful. It was peaceful outside - but then, it always was, in these small suburbs - and no cars drove by in the time that Galdur glanced out the window, chewing on her sandwich thoughtfully, and washing the aftertaste out with the milkshake. "Considering the blender was out, this is surprisingly...un-chunky!" A heartfelt smile followed those words, and she finished the sandwich shortly after.

"And the dishes are the least I can do, considering you made all the food!" She danced away from the table, spinning despite the plate and glass in her hands, setting them in the sink and turning on the faucet. The water ran for a few moments - enough to rinse the dishes - before she turned it off, saving it for later while she scrubbed away whatever imperfection she could find in the plates. Once Eir finished, she took his plates too and rinsed them as well, setting them to dry on a towel next to the sink.

"There! All done. Let's go out!" Grabbing one of the bags, she swiftly headed over to the garage, where they kept their bikes. They each had their own mountain bike, for when the family went camping - not often - and a tandem bike made for city streets. Depending on where they decided to go, they would choose a different bike. She set her bag down by the helmets and walked over to the garage door, putting her hands around the bottom and attempting to lift it. But it was significantly more difficult, without the optional assistance of the garage door opener. "Brother, could you help me with this?"

"That was not comforting either!"

"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."

"Old man, are you trying to provoke me?"

"Into town sounds good! I wonder what everyone's doing now that they don't have power?" The blonde smiled faintly and tasted the banana milkshake gingerly, and took a bigger gulp when he found it tasted okay.

"Aha, well, I used what we had in the fridge," Eir responded, waving away her compliment with his free hand. "The woods might be a little tricky. If we're not careful we'll be caught out in the dark, and with the lights out it'll be hard to find our way back. And it's not friendly to our bicycle skills." He smiled wryly. Neither of them went out often, and even when they did they were not huge fans of exercise. They could only bike for extended periods of time on paved roads that weren't too steep, which, thankfully, they had an abundance of around, especially on the way into town.

"Thank you, sister," he said fondly as he watched her go. "Energetic as always."

Eir got up to wash his hands and visit the restroom, and exited as his twin headed to the garage. He wandered out to where his sister was struggling with the door, and he bent down to help, wedging his fingers under. Between the two slight youths, it took quite a bit of huffing and puffing and wheezing to get the door open enough to allow the bikes to pass. "Well," he managed between heavy gulps of air, keeping his now-dirty hands well away from his clothes, "I think we should take the mountain bikes. The tandem takes turns a bit awkwardly. Although it shouldn't be as bad since we haven't seen many cars go by today? Whichever you prefer, sister." He caught his breath, then went over to his helmet and satchel. Putting the two on despite his decidedly-not-exercising-clothes, he wandered over to where the bikes were leaning against the wall, and dug around for their bicycle chains. "We should make a stop at the grocery store before we leave so we can pick up some ice. We have some more durable goods that we should try to keep cold in case the black out persists. Unless their power's out in town as well?" He tilted his head, considering the new development. That would really suck. It was times like these he wished their family had a radio of some sort, so they weren't so completely cut off from the world.

Max was completely on-edge as he sat on the couch with his bag beside him. Mr. and Mrs. Knebel had disappeared somewhere, but he could tell they were worried. Tony was sitting at the table, looking at his watch and grumbling about Trisha being late. Max did find it slightly odd that they were still having a study session when the power -all the power- was out. But seriously, cars weren't working, cell phones wouldn't turn on. With every second thinking about it, the more Max Adams became more terrified. He heard voices outside, and he peeked out the window to see a couple of the gangster teenagers from a few blocks over carrying bags and heading in the direction of the store, but that wasn't the worst thing. He knew it probably shouldn't surprise him, but they had handguns strapped around their waists, without trying to conceal them at all. Max fell back onto the couch, feeling himself start to shake. Were they going to rob the store? And he just had to ask himself, were they going after money, or food? Was that what this had come to? People hoarding and stealing food? He didn't find it the most surprising thing. If the power didn't turn back on, money seemed a little useless. People would freak out and steal the necessary things they needed for survival.

Ooc: Resta- Sort of...maybe...a little bit. I saw the trailer and I just couldn't help myself haha

Ic: When there was a knock at the door, Max watched Tony answer it and exchange a few words with someone. The other person was a girl. He could tell by her voice. He couldn't see her yet. Then, Tony nodded an answer to a question and invited the person in. But, just like everything else today, it wasn't as simple as that. It wasn't just one girl who walked into the house. There were two. The one in the lead had highlighted hair and she seemed a bit annoyed, but that wasn't surprising. The girl that followed her seemed more unkempt, like she'd just woken up and fallen out the door or something. Max would have just sat there and let them wonder who he was, but for some reason he decided to be polite and, for once, introduce himself. He stood and stuck out his hand toward the girl with the highlighted hair. "Hi, there. I'm Max Adams, Tony's...brother." Tony gave him a stern look as he reluctantly said the last word.

ic; Feet shuffling at an uneven pace, Tyler kept his head low - some part of him voiced that this was not going to keep him from being seen and just made him more suspicious, but he ignored such a thought and continued walking in such a hunched-over manner. The sound of rushing footsteps caused him to lift his head, just in time to avoid a man running in the opposite direction with him arms full of perishable items. That's... actually pretty much the usual. However, the increasing sound of rushing footsteps caused him to plaster himself to the wall of a building - he bit down his grimace - and watched with feigned disinterest. People tore by him and the noise was thunderous. As they cleared, he watched as police officers chased after them and resigned himself to a raised eyebrow in confusion before continuing off on his way to his apartment.

He ignored the broken glass.

ooc; if you don't mind me asking... is this based upon the show Revolution? because i can't wait for that show... C:

Trisha finally managed to make it to Tony's house, a few unscrupulous characters were running about and it put the girl on edge. As much as she disliked Joanna, it wouldn't be good of Trisha to send the girl home on her own. Not with so many thugs running around. Once they got to the boy's house, Trisha knocked on the door and waited. Tony answered the door, looking a little ticked that she was late. "Sorry," she apologized, "Forgot we were meeting here." She turned a look over her shoulder and pointed to her companion, "This is Joanna, she's my neighbor from down the street. Mind if she stays over?" She turned and looked back up at her tutor.
