Ivoryclaw's eyes snapped over to the she cat. He didnt jump in surpise. He never really did. "Hello Amberpaw," he head nodded slightly in greeting. THe bone white tom felt Roseheart's eyes on him. Their former conversation burned in his mind and he could feel the she cat mentally pairing him with any she cat that walked by. Amberpaw was the unforutnant victim of the old cat's fantasies. "Is there something i can help you with?" his gruff voice was curt but not harsh. He was just a cat of few words but many actions.
Amberpaw glanced at their guest and smiled, noticing who it was. "Oh, hello Roseheart. I just changed the bedding if you want to nap in peace now." she smiled, noticing that the tom was annoyed of the elder in some way.
"My mentor is expecting kits, so I need somebody to train me temporarily. Well," she paused, thinking her words over, "I jsut need to learn more. I need something to do, something more to learn." Amberpaw searched his eyes for some preferance or emotion. "Could you please help me?"

Ivoryclaw contimplated her request for a moment. He had never taken an apprentice before and he really never expected to have one ever. He wasnt exactly teaching material but he did need practice talking to others. For a brief moment he glanced at Roseheart and shot his eyes back to Amberpaw. "Alright. But i warn you, im not good at being nice when it comes to fighting moves. I was taught by Hawkstrike and he was one of the best warriors any clan has ever seen. So, if you intend on learning from me you will have to go through what i went through. Do you think you are up for that?" He stood from his spot in the shade and nearly loomed over the she cat. He wasnt really a huge cat, just bigger than most. Plus she was the age of a new warrior so it was easy for him to be bigger than her. His amber eyes flickered with some emotion but still held that broken soul behind them.
Amberpaw squealed with joy when he answered, but his stern voice brought her back to reality. She listened to his little speach with extreme respect and focus. "I'll go through anything if it makes me come out a better warrior." she said quietly, her eyes revealing a bit of her own broken soul. Nobody knew much about her parents but their names, and their was a complicated past that made Amberpaw think differently than other cats, especially for her young age.
She would do anything he told her to, if only for her extreme respect for the tom.

Ivoryclaw saw the determination in her eyes and remembered the day before his apprentice ceremony. There he had stood, just like her. His own mentor's face was a dead pan and broken hearted as Ivoryclaw was now. He had said the same things to the young she cat that his own mentor had said to him. Ivoryclaw had reminded Hawkstrike of a bit of himself and now Amberpaw reminded Ivoryclaw of something inside himself as well. All three had borken souls. A small grin twisted the edge of the tom's mouth upward in a a very rare smirk. "Alright then. Lets begin." He walked smoothly past her and headed for the entrance to the camp. He just hoped he was as good at teaching as his own mentor had been.
Amberpaw followed closely behind, barely containing her excitement. At last, her dreams were comming true! She was almost a Warrior, she was learning more than the other apprentices, and her mother wasn't here to tell her she needed a mate. Nobody was making her do anything, she was making all the decisions herself, even this. She knew the risks she was taking, agreeing to this even though she didn't know what to expect. This could be the second-to-worst decision of her life, but she still went in with a smile on her face and excitement in her gut.
ooc:: off to bed. :]

Rosefur mewed, " Great job, Mosspaw. That's a great catch. " She smiled and then out of the corner of her eye she met Bloodeyes's eyes and gave him a wink. She gigled, " We should get back to camp. " She smiled at Mosspaw and said, " We can hunt on the way back. " She turned and padded out of the training place. She sighed and looked back. She was still really tired.

Ivoryclaw and his temporary apprentice made their way across the clan's territory to the training hollow that wasnt to far from the camp. WHen the finally approached the clearing he turned to her and said, "Alright. Im just going to ignore the fact that youve already learned fighting moves. When i do start teaching, dont feel to ashamed if im yelling at you and growling at you to get it right. Thats the way i was trained and im the best fighter in the clan now... It sort of works." With that he padded a few paces away and nearly barked, "Attack me!" his eyes almost glowed dangerously for a moment before he held himself back, knowing this wasnt really a fight.
Berrytail began to yawn she was getting tired too. She looked up at the sunset it was beautiful and very pretty. Berrytail padded over to the warriors den and finished a mouse that she just had eaten. She continued to lie there and then took a little nap but woke up a little time later. "Im so tired" she said. Then she looked outside and saw the two cats training. So their training im surprised to see them up im so tired and their all jumping around. Then she just dropped and fell asleep.

Mosspaw smiled. She saw a hint of love in Rosefur's eyes. And Bloodeyes', too. She trotted happily beside Rosefur, heading back towards camp. Today was such a day, she caught her first mouse, she made Bloodeyes and Rosefur love each other -- kinda --... wow. She never realized how many supprises could be twisted and tangled in life. She smelled the mouse dangling from her mouth. Mosspaw was going to give it to the elders. She knew they would love it. Running to camp, she dropped it in their den.
