"That sounds like a good idea. But...I know you guys won't believe me, but what if there's a reason a cat from RiverClan got the dream? What if it doesn't mean we have to go all the way across the lake? I mean, it's not everyday that StarClan sends a message, so they never send it to the wrong cat. So there has to be a reason why Shadewing got the dream, while all of us were on a mission together." Riverheart mused, standing up to shake the water off his pelt. "Thinking in a dry place sounds like a good idea, if you can find one."

"If that was meant to be comforting, it was not."
"Everyone dies eventually. Once you are born, you begin to die."
"That was not comforting either!"
"It is the way of the Creed. Usually our deaths are violent but quick."
"They aren't," Lilyflower said promptly, answering Shadowpelt's question. She turned her gaze towards Riverheart. Her thought varied, suddenly, and she felt faint. "Perhaps the dream came to him because he was to lead," she muttered quietly. A shiver shot up her spine. Not that Lilyflower didn't like Shadewing, but just that him, leading, gave her a few nightmares. She laughed it off. "And yeah, I would love someone rather dry."
ooc: i reallly hope that the Shadewing and Lilyflower relationship is okay XD she's isn't too keen about him.
Riverheart wanted to burst out laughing, but he held it in, a small snicker escaping. "Shadewing, lead? He's an amazing hunter and fighter, sure, but lead? Ahaha! He let's his emotions lead him, which is both good and bad in a leader. But there's been what, one successful leader who believed in his emotions? And who was he? A kittypet." Riverheart still couldn't get the absurd thought of Shadewing leading.

Scorchpaw saw them now debating over something else and slumped even lower as she lay in her bush. They weren't going to move on if they just sat there and talked. Besides, Redstar had only sent her out on the mission, and Staarclan had chosen to tell the warriors about something going on. She could see she was no longer part of it and padded over to the others. "Seeing as our mission has been put on hold, I'm not gonna stay here and chat all day. See ya' back at camp."She told the others as she trotted off, deep in her own thoughts. They didn't need her, and she wasn't immportant, so she was just going to have to leave them to their Starclan mission. Besides, if she was part of it, they might have at least talked to her. Too bad for them. She wasn't gonna sit around all day and do nothing for the clan.
"But hold up. Firestar -- if that is who you are speaking of, Riverheart -- led ThunderClan to great power, and was an amazing leader. You cannot deny that. But I honestly don't think it has anything to do with Shade leading us...," murmured Florestadream, eyes thoroughly confused. Biting her lip once again, a drop of blood fell, she had bitten it so much. Looking to her brother once more, she said, "Shade, tell them about the cat himself. I remember pretty well, but I think you should tell them..." Her eyes were careful. They said, "Do not give it all away -- we need to keep some of this between us." But the glance was so quick no one else would understand it but Shadewing.

OOC: Scorchpaw you dont have to reply after every single post. Unless your character is doing something important please dont post. You dont have to. It seems that everyone that you have been making for a while is about your character thinking and listen to what we have to say. It gets kind of overbearing to read practically the same thing over and over again ^^"
Shadewing frowned at Riverheart and his ears flattened against his head. His face fell in to a mask of insecurness. Just because he was young didnt mean he couldnt lead. It wasnt right for Riverheart to make fun of him. Shadewing couldnt help the stinging tears that rose in his eyes for a moment. He fought to keep his voice level as he spoke out, "Like they even care what he looks like. So far it only seems that they care about making fun and yelling at me. I mean what else am i good for then a punching bag right? Forget it Resta. The stupid cat in my dream isnt anyone special. The dream itself isnt special. Im not special. All it was, was a bad piece of prey and the over active imagination of the least likely cat to be promoted to leader." Shadewing turned from them, "Just leave me alone." With that he left the small shelter of the bushes they had tried to use to hide from the rain and sat outside. His sleek black pelt was immediatly drenched and the few tears in his eyes fell easily now that they were covered by the rain.
Shadowpelt hung his head and new what he had to do. He stepped out into the rain and sat next to his brother as the rain pelted their fur. At least they were RiverClan cats and not Thunderclan, or someone else. The two sat in silence for a little bit and Shadowpelt had no idea what to say. He glanced at his brother, moving only his eyes and then stared forward again. He sighed and mumbled. "I'd think you'd make a great leader." The funny thing about that statement was, he actually meant it, Shadewing may not take it like that, but he really did think his brother could be a fantastic leader. He was smart, and young, and agile. Shadowpelt knew he could do it.
Frustration was clear on her face as she looked at Riverheart. She spat at his paws and hissed, "Nice going." She followed Shadowpelt and Shadewing out of the bush they had taken shelter in and felt the rain drench her pelt almost immediately. Her body protested her going to her brothers, but her heart told her to keep going. Sitting next to Shadewing, she knew he didn't exactly love to be babied, but she put her head on top of his and said, "I agree with Shadow... You're make a better leader than any of us." She smiled and continued. "Don't listen to ol' Riverheart. He's just jealous he didn't get the dream," she laughed quietly. It was sort of peaceful, being with her family in the rain, silence wrapping them up, almost protecting them. "And you are special, because you're amazing. And you're our brother, Shade." Standing, she licked his cheek, then Shadowpelt's and said, "I'm going back... Come back into the shelter soon, if you don't mind."

Shadewing let their words sink in for a moment before he whispered, "Thanks guys... I know i acted like a mouse brain earlier and Im sorry. I shouldnt have started that dumb arguement. It feels so much better now that we are all acting like a family again." He smiled warmly first to his brother and then to his sister. He touched Shadowpelt's shoulder with the tip of his tail. "Well if i ever became a leader Im sure you would be right there as my deputy. You've always been my wing man." The young tom winked playfully at his brother with meaning. And with that he stood and followed Florestadream, glad that they were finally over their hostilities.
