This attack didn't bother Blaze. He dove into the earth, using his claws to scrape it away, until he had dug a tunnel. He had used the move dig! "Blaze! Dig holes around Dothe!"Jen commanded, having a great idea. Soon, Dothe was surrounded by holes. Should he attack, Blaze could hide in them or start an entirly different chain of tunnels. "Blaze, stay in until I say so!" Jen commanded. Blaze gave out a small,"Char!" to reply, echoing through the holes. She would confuse Dothe with the sound waves that traveled through them.
OOC: And I'm back! aaaand not much happened wow. :P
But uh, just thought I should say this now: Don't get too extraordinary with the attacks that your Pokémon know. They're still relatively young, so they won't be able to use any super powerful attacks yet. kk? But Dig should be fine for now.
IC: "Don't get unnerved, Dothe!" Kori called. "Just focus -- use your nose and ears to anticipate where Blaze comes from!" He wasn't one to talk, despite keeping his expression neutral. There was no way for him to know how acute Dothe's smell or hearing was, but it would have to do.
ooc: Alright! I know, like since charmander's so younge, he wouldn't be able to use flamethrower or Headbutt. Thanks! I'll tone it down on the moves.
ic: Blaze was right under Dothe now, not a sound made. "Blaze, use tackle! come out from the ground!"Jen called out.He burst out from under Dothe, tackling him. He was high up in the air before he landed with Dote on the ground. But Dothe was still able to fight. THe attack hadn't done enough damage to take him out. Blaze was looking tired. But he stood his ground. She knew that no matter how good a person battled, the out come would not be as expected. Just because Blaze had thrown some fancy moves didn't assure that he could win. Exhoustion could put him out of the fight pretty quick, with his younge age an all. She would have to watch what she did.
in: Ashley kept on watching and so did her pokemon. She was going to remember all of this. Then she might be able to train and have super powerful pokemon. Until she noticed that Treeko and Chikorita were having practice fights. Ashley giggled it was kinda cute. Ashley quick checked her pokedex. For the moves that her pokemon were using. It started talking. "Chikorita knows the moves Light screen, Absorb and Tackle. Cyndaquil knows the moves Ember, Growl and Swift. Treeko knows the moves Absorb, Scratch and Agility." Ashley closed her pokedex and kept on watching the cute pokemon practice fight. ooc: Im asuming that we have a pokedex. Also i hope that the moves are basic enough :)
Alieen sat down in the grass and threw the pokeballs. Her two new pokemon jumped out and blinked for a few seconds. "Hiya, new buddies! I'm Alieen and this is Fudo!" Fudo goes and sniffs the new pokemon. Her Pidgey fluttered his wings and let out a sound of happiness. "Hmm," she said, "I'm gonna name you... Hoshi! And your name, Nidoran? I think Tora would be a good name for you." She then looked on at the battle.

Ashley was thinking aobut her pokemon's moves while the to pokemon trainers were battling. Then she looked at Alieen. "How 'bout a pokemon battle while the other two are battling maybe we can have to battles at once. That would be cool, right?" Ashley asked she really wanted to battle so she hoped Alieen said yes.
Michiko was given basically the same run down as the people before her had been given, and her own group basically have the same reaction as theirs did. With the same instructive words, she waved them off and the people dispersed, each gravitating to whatever caught their eye.
The pre-teen, for one, could not stand those who were not competent, and although she was certain that Pokémon, for sure, were more intelligent than the average human.... She lavished time on almost every one of them that caught her eye. Before she had chosen her three despite the time she spent on each one; it seemed that her parents' genes had not failed her completely despite their absence from her life, as almost every one she set her eye on proved to be for her. After the clacking of keyboard announced the confirmation of her choices, she sat around and waited as the others dispersed. She had not yet received her orders and had been told to await.
At long last, the orders came; she would not be partnered up here. Instead, she would fly to Cerulean and meet up with others before continuing on their way. She was put into a helicopter with another group (since they could clearly not afford to ship a single person in a helicopter all her own) whose destination required them to pass Cerulean.
The team was not particularly chatty, and since Michiko was not particularly inclined to start a conversation herself, she released her Torchic, whom she had taken upon herself to nickname Chamo. There was really no particular reason for it beyond that it seemed to fit, as Mazou did for her Phanpy. She had not yet selected a name for her Ponyta but she felt no need to give it a nickname since it had been rather content to be referred to as such.
Besides that, Chamo was the only one she could really trust to not accidentally damage the helicopter they sat in, and since it was probably best to get acquainted before anything serious went down....
Michiko set the little chick on her lap, intent on passing the rest of the trip getting to know her new friend.
ooc; aha, back-up plans ftw ~ alright. who do you propose i meet up with? an npc for now, and later let someone else fill in the spot, or...? s:"
OOC: Sorry about the wait, Scorchheart -- been busy playing Battle Revolution. It's so addicting for such a simple game! XD
As for you, Souki -- I think an NPC would work, actually, and could be where Ebony enters once she gets back. Assuming you don't mind waiting for her, of course. But, regardless, you and the NPC will still be operating with the rest of us, and once we get back after finding Misty we'll split up into smaller groups. =)
IC: Dothe had succeeded in anticipating the attack, though that did not completely help her brace for it. As it stood, she was knocked into the air, landing heavily on the ground. She managed to push herself up, though only jsut. "Dothe, return!" Kori called, holding her Pokéball up. A red beam shot out, bringing the Poochyena back inside of it. He grabbed a second one. "Go, Daeja!" He hurled it into the air. Daeja the Totodile emerged in a flash of white light, shaking with anticipation. "Use Water Gun!"
Daeja responded immediately, launching a small stream of water at Blaze. Kori doubted it would be able to continue the fight after this.

ic: Blaze took on the blast of water, unable to take it well. He was i a staggering position, and was losing strength. Jen gently picked him up."Nice one bud."and she called him back into her pokeball."Blaze, return." a red beam of light caught him and he was in the pokeball. She fished out another one. She had two pokemon left. Which one would win? She looked over the facts. So far, this was the match up for type alignment:
Fire vs. water-bad electricity vs. water- 50\ 50 chance
She decided to try out electricity. She knew that she might lose, but it was worth a shot. "Alright, lets see what you can do!"she called out, sending the pokeball into the air.The pokeball opened and with a white beam of light, a pokemon appeared. But it wasn't her electric type-Thunder. It was inferno! 'how'd I get them mixed up?!' thought Jen. She decided to go with it. Mabe Inferno, her Houndor, could win with just a bit of luck. Otherwise, Her Shinx, Thunder, would be left against two pokemon. "Inferno, use quick attack!"Jen called out, meaning to say tackle. But Inferno pulled it off. He ran faster than she had seen Dothe run during the first fight, and even faster, going circles around Totodile until it looked like a lazer circlet was closing in, switching direction. He then zoomed in at Totodile and tackled him hard.
