Dakota stopped pacing when she heard her name and looked to Arina. "Huh? Help with what?" She barked. Her mind had been focused on Richter and The Fang but she snapped it to Arina. She smelled like prey and it made the doberman drool. Licking her lips she sat down to wait for her to speak. She hadnt heard anything else the dog had said or noticed Apollo either

"Nothing, nothing." Arina replied. She watched Apollo go into his den and sighed. Seeing her tree vacant again, she went over and climbed it. She was back at the branch she perched, and watched below. She looked at Dakota. Pretty soon morning could come, then she could eat.
The leaders mate titled her head. She was known for being sharp her mate strong. "Tell me more about this 'pack' you have banded with." She barked, her eyes a flame with curiosty.
Richter nodded. "There's a mountain dog in the lead named Apollo, the second-in-command named Dakota. There are some other too. There's Arina, who likes to do things herself without telling anyone, and there are others. They've saved all of the prisoners in the wild dog pack, but the leader has a pup named River," he explained.

"And why should these matters affect us? We have no interest in petty things like that. She is not a pup of ours soof what matter is it?" The mate barked her eyes questioning. If this dog cold impress her she'd consider helping them.
Richter growled softly to himself. "Whatever! Do what you want and leave that pup to die!" he barked. Richter turned and started down the hall, out of the room. Moses looked up at the leader and her mate, wondering what he should do next.

"Wait!" The she-dog barked, her voice echoing off the walls. "I asked why we should help you noy if I would aid you." She understood what a pups life meant, she just needed to test this dog. To make sure he was speaking the truth.
Richter turned back to the dog. "Because they all love her, and she doesn't love herself. They can't leave her and let her die in the leader's paws. They need to assure her that she's special. Lucy, the leader's mate, thinks the same way. The leader will hurt her if we give her up, and they all love her too much to do that either."

The leaders mate turned to the leader. "What do you think?" She barked. She knew the Fang would not care who they sided with as long as they could kill they'd be happy.
